    Super clean build… do you care to share what mono ball bushing you have for the rear lower control arm?

      The Monoball bearings I used in the rear were custom made by a guy named Kevin Sing. I believe he still makes them in small batches.

    Yes!!! Finally!!! Wish I was still there to lend a hand. What are the springs for?

      The springs hold different sections of collectors to individual runners. It's a really cool exhaust. Best you can get for the e39 M5.

      @@artwerksgarage That's interesting. Yeah it's a beautiful setup. Can't wait to hear it!!!

    was the OE lower joint assy hitting those headers and that's why you needed to modify that? it looks like you have changed the one part of the "pipe" with different pipe which makes it thicker and gives more space?

      Are you talking about the lower part of the steering shaft? If so, yes, the OE part hits the headers and that's why Einhorn industries sends you a slimmer part to replace the OE part.

      Yes i meant that. I have same problem with hartge headers on my m5. It only scrubs when turning right so its not so big problem but teases me still. Got to make some modifications also.

      It's worth noting that I did not modify that lower steering shaft. I recieved a new one from Einhorn that was built by Einhorn. Personally, I don't know the consequences (if any) of modifying the OEM lower steering shaft, so in my personal opinion, I would want to replace it with a part that is tried and true, like the one from Einhorn Industries. I bet if you were to reach out to Jed from Einhorn that he could get you one of those.

    How the heck did you snap the bushing carrier on that giant rear control arm??

    • @artwerksgarage
      @artwerksgarage  2 года назад

      Those rear swing arms are giant and not easy to break. But I did. I broke it pressing out the OEM rubber bushing without a press. These are really difficult to get out, so I highly suggest using a press.

    Bitchen pipes Art! This is gonna be a whole new car when you get done. Just curious. Why are the pipes all mounted separately rather than a normal one piece manifold? I know they have to be all the same length, but I don’t understand why they couldn’t be all connected together and a lot easier to mount.

      The exhaust is made this way for installation purposes. It's such a tight fit that the exhaust actually comes with rounded head bolts for the steering box and a new steering column section that is modified so that there is clearance for the pipes. Being that I installed my exhaust while the engine was out doesn't necessitate this type of installation, but most people who buy this exhaust are installing it without removing the engine.
