What they don't teach you in the book is that we actually used smoked maple syrup for the recipe, also we used dried bananas instead of fresh ones. I worked at the bar there before it burnt down years ago ;)
OK. You sliced banana, then left it in the jar with JD for a week and then you showed a glass with big ice cube in it after you spill some syrup and pour JD from the bottle. My question would be- what happened to the jars with banana and JD???
Karolis Simokaitis Chop bananas. Put them in Whiskey. Leave them there for a couple of weeks. Pour back into whiskey bottle. To make: Pour a teaspoon of maple syrup into glass, add shot of banana whiskey. Enjoy.
