You can almost use a flat head to push it back in but you have to do it before you remove the caliper

no grease on pad ears and backs?

A large channel locks works quicker
Jesus how not to do it ! No axle stand, never hammer pads in if you clean the rust and dust off the caliper and it goes in easily. It’s supposed to slide. Removing the master reservoir top makes moving pistons easy.
What .... I did that with but I thoughts that need to be rotate lol I toon mi 45 min to do lol
No jack stand that was very dangerous. He needs to watch many faceses of death he's very lucky
7mm Allen head not 9 mm
9mm - you are wrong!!! its 100% 9mm front when having uprated brakes. 7mm rears.
You probably have the basic discs and calipers on fronts with 7mm smaller hex heads.
2015 XF 355mm rotors 9mm caliper bolt pin/bolts
earlier years were 7mm
