Towards the end you can see he has 5 cards then plays the Marco, but then has 5 again when he dumps the kingdew to save the Marco and then again 5 to counter out of your 16 attack LOL
I got it on my timeline and i was amazed how this cheater tried to get out of it xD. If i play on and online tournament in the future i hope i dont get a cheater. Its sus that he said to u "keep your hands in the frame" and he like never does that. Greetings from Germany.
Love how he just happened to reach off screen and low and behold an extra counter like how ..... if some one did that in person and was like of I forgot I had this in my hand cus I separated it out. (Sometimes I separate my hand to better map my play but my cards never leave the mat so the fact he had to turn around to get his card is a load of bull.
He actually cheated twice (thrice if you count the irrelevant graveyard boat to top, but honestly that was probably just a mistake). The obvious grab for atmos aside, he picks up a card sometime in between when he plays his second Marco and your final turn with double wb + leader. My best guess is 33:51 when he picks up his cards with one hand and then slides them into the other hand. That final turn he should only have 4 cards in hand. You can confirm this by keeping track of the cards drawn throughout the match or by doing the card math: Turn 6: 6 cards drawn 6 from life 5 starting hand 17 total What he has: 7 trash: Atmos, guardpoint, makino, boat, rad beam, atmos, boat 6 board: whitey, vista, 2x Marco, otama, stage Total: 13 Leaving 4 cards for hand but he somehow has 5 + that last atmos. Just in case you needed more evidence against this guy.
That's the reason why I don't play online Tournaments, is a big shame. In offline events you have many cheaters too but is easier to protect as online tournaments. Sent this video 10000 times to Bandai and spam this guys, we all want more big offline Tournaments. For all TCG games when someone cheats he have to perm ban for life time and not only for 2-3 years all time, because is his own fault. Thanks for sharing it, keep your good work.
There is a lot to unpack here. First, there is no point in sending that to bandai itself. The best action is to send this to the TO. They can ban the persom from their events and give a notice to bandai, then bandai decides to do with that player on their own. Life sentences are also extremly bullshit and you also dont provide a reason. This beeing their own fault is not a reason. We are Humans and we make stupid decisions, thats how we improve. Since we both speak german, let me put is that way: Resozialisierung ist extrem wichtig in unserem justiz system, weshalb wir keine todesstrafe haben und lebenslang sind auch "nur" 15 jahre. Die strafe fürs cheaten in nem kinder card game, sollte nicht länger anhalten als das größte verbrechen in unserem justiz system. Dein claim ist pure emotion und nicht zielführend. In einer utopie, wo menschen nicht so dumm sind wie sie nunmal sind, kann man über solche sachen reden. Stell dir mal vor du wirst zu unrecht fürs cheaten, für immer gebannt. Scheiße, wa? Mir ist egal ob ich gewinne oder verliere, solange ich nicht verloren habe, durch meine eigenen Spielfehler und dazu gelernt habe, aber gegen einen cheater zu verlieren würde und es später raus gekommen wäre und es ein großes Event war, wäre richtiger dreck. Bist bestimmt vom Beruf ein Sozialarbeiter, ohne Frau und Kinder. Bin selber übrigens Polizeiangestellter im Innendienst.

Steve future remainder: the first card of your deck should be your last life card and the fifth/ sixth card from top should be the first! Unfortunate that people cheat at these big events it disincentives other people to play the game at a competitive level :(

I just watched the whole thing. It was an obviously a cheat because the entire time he had his hand on the table when he had four cards and then out of nowhere he just pulls one from the left of this. It's almost like he had a table next to him.
I think while it is unlikely any abuse happened on your part. And i agree your rep in other card games does give you a lot of credit. It is important to eliminate the hands coming off screen at all. There is potential for abuse and we as a community need to shut this out entirely. Like no deck list sealed in mtg. It will start with players making and calling for these changes in general.
Also this dude is bad at cheating. There are likely more people who are cheating and it might look similar to how your hand comes out of frame briefly. I think we need to be doing the opposite of normalizing it. Again your rep does give you a lot of credit. Also small note- we should take rep out of this as an indicator of someone not cheating. yuya being a big example of this.
I've played against a Newgate once, aren't you supposed to lose a life at the end of each of your turns? A couple of turns go by and you don't lose said life.

It doesnt really change much compared to offline events. At both events you gotta pay attention to what the opponent does and yes its not easy. In yugioh, at major finals we see a second normal summon quite often, with judges standing next to the table. You have to keep track of everything anyway no matter if online or offline. Yes, people are more likley to cheat at online events because its harder to catch, but since you need to keep track of everything anyway, it is also easier to prove that the opponent cheated because of the recording. You just have to be prepared for that. With all honesty, the game isnt that complex yet, that it is impossible to watch your opponent and pay attention.
This is why it should be played on a simulator and you have to prove you have the cards to select it on the simulator, that way you cant fake having cards

i dont know anything about this game but i noticed the guy on the left has a frozen camera sometimes (11:59 - 12:15 for example) and the guy on the right has a laggy camery but not really enough to cheat i think

I called a judge immediately after. I wasn't 100% certain he cheated, since I was like hyperfocused on counting in the moment. He was DQd, I'm sure its a DQ in person too.

Webcam makes it so easy to cheat. Really, online should be using tabletop simulator, but that means people don't have to buy the cards

This is why you should always declare an ask at the end of every turn How many cards are in both players hands.
I always do that and even call my actives Don!! and number of blockers so my opponent have it clear and don’t have to ask it all the time 😅

If you were putting down one after the other it would seem more obvious, as you'd naturally stack them on top of each other starting from the top
