      Ali Cola Vice reporters need to be transgender or some sort of cancerous thing like a feminist to join Vice, if they are the token representation of their “gender” they then get a role as a reporter

      Sorry for the delay. Malikie has been busy - as you'd expect - and it took some time for us to make arrangements. He has set up a PayPal account. You can send him money using his email address:
      malikiekamara2005@gmail.com
      Or, if you want to send a lot of money (!), you can email him and he will send you his bank account details.
      I will be going back to Sierra Leone next week. There is a screening of the documentary at the British Council in Freetown and they've asked me to come and speak. Its a great chance to show the film to people there and see what they think of it. Plus I get to see Malikie and make sure he knows how much you all care.
      Please send whatever you can. What seems a little to us could really go a long way for him.
      If you do want to contact him to offer medical treatment for Daniel or any other type of donation, you can email him on the address above too. Please keep me informed, so I can make sure he sees any offers like that.
      Thanks

      MAMA AFRICA
      When this happened it was on almost every news channel in North America and Europe, 95% of foreign aid for these people came from Europe and North America. Me and my own family here in Canada, personally donated $320 dollars. So stop with these lies that western media doesn't care because western countries helped way more then any other country in Africa, even their own government is ignoring it's own people. If it wasn't for foreign aid half these people would be dead. When Ebola happened 75% of doctors were from western countries, 20% were from Asian and only 5% were doctors from Africa volunteering their time to help sick people. I worked for free flying sick people back and fourth in Sierra Leone for 9 months, all the fuel and maintenance for the aircraft was paid by American and Canadian people donating money. Do you know that 80% of the fresh water Wells in Africa are drilled by Western countries, 70% of schools are built with western donations. What the hell else do you people want, this is literally making my blood boil when I hear people like you crying that the western world is not doing enough. I got 3 pilot friends that died flying sick people in Guinea for free, they didn't have to do it but they did because there wasn't enough pilots to fly all the sick people and I feel partly responsible because I talked them into going to Africa. The thanks I got for my work was that I got robbed 2 times in Sierra Leone, that's the thank you I got from the African people for volunteering my time and flying for free, and all you can do is complain and complain that the western world is not doing enough.

    I have sensitive eyes in general and crying doesn’t help. This breaks my whole soul and heart. I can’t nor will ever come to the terms of losing anyone I love I just can’t fathom how much hurt he’s feeling right now.

      I agree about damn global warming, but as others have pointed out, it was deforestation that was a major contributor. And one guy in the docu said quarrying is also a factor.

    I just came to this documentary after watching one from 12 years ago when freetown was expanding and crawling up the mountain side.
    Coming from a mountainside in the tropics I was cringing at what was unplanned uncontrolled hillside enroachment. It always ends in immense personal tragedy when vegetation and forest cover is stripped off the mountainside in the tropics.
    Monsoon brings death and destruction. A mudflow is one of the most destructive things in nature.

    Just so sad, just brings tears to my ears, especially when Daniel's father was crying and saying, "Who will call me papa?" "Ishmael." Blessings to them all. Love the reporter, he always does such a great job reporting. Please let's have an update about the child Daniel and his father. Also, about how the villages are doing, and if the government stepped in to help?

    The soil from the looks of it has nothing that can hold it together such as tree roots that can go drep in the soil. And my observaton as the prople build homes just near these mud moutans which is really dangrrious during the flooding sesson

    • @SW_Wilson
      @SW_Wilson 6 лет назад +3

      julia herbet the homes were built on forest reserves. The government doesn’t have much control on where people build homes and as a result, people are cutting down trees and building homes on reserved lands.

    • @juliaherbet2063
      @juliaherbet2063 6 лет назад +5

      VintageShee I think what's going on is corrupt people in that government who are receiving money from the people and allow them to built homes there. There's no government that has no control of the land. Land is the country. How can it be a government without land. What the government needs to do is to get rid of the corrupt politicians amongst the government people.
