Love the reporter, he always does such a great job reporting. Please let's have an update about the child Daniel and his father. Also, about how the villages are doing, and if the government stepped in to help?
The soil from the looks of it has nothing that can hold it together such as tree roots that can go drep in the soil. And my observaton as the prople build homes just near these mud moutans which is really dangrrious during the flooding sesson
julia herbet the homes were built on forest reserves. The government doesn’t have much control on where people build homes and as a result, people are cutting down trees and building homes on reserved lands.
VintageShee I think what's going on is corrupt people in that government who are receiving money from the people and allow them to built homes there. There's no government that has no control of the land. Land is the country. How can it be a government without land. What the government needs to do is to get rid of the corrupt politicians amongst the government people.
My God... It's been a year since this was posted.... And I had NO idea. This is awful. Poor Maliki... Poor Daniel...I pray they are able to heal and thrive after this devastation... And so many other families affected or even destroyed.

Just so sad, just brings tears to my ears, especially when Daniel's father was crying and saying, "Who will call me papa?" "Ishmael." Blessings to them all. Love the reporter, he always does such a great job reporting. Please let's have an update about the child Daniel and his father. Also, about how the villages are doing, and if the government stepped in to help?
I'm so happy to live in a core country.
Am so sorry for them.May God give them patiency
Same thing happened in my country... A bridged collapsed in a city and 40 people where in a school trip in a bus, 27 children died, 1 injured, 2 probably floating in the sea, 10 teachers injured, :(
