Ok good to know!!!! I've been disenchanted with that one because it has given me problems...but I am going to really work hard on that one :). Thank you sooooo much!!!!
I fell in love with the hoya chinghungensis when I saw it on your Valentines heart shaped leaves video. 💚💚💚 i’m so happy to hear you’ll be propagating it. i’d love to get one from you. your collection is amazing! ♥️🪴♥️
This was a great video and fun to see all of the mother plants to mine. I was waiting for lori lyn. My favorite would be my Matilda. Splash and super splash. My ingloriana and my chin. Chingham Genes😅 I really love my Hawaiian crony on a black too. Your pot choices are so cute.
Hi, Lynn!!!!! I love how the voice to text spelled out Hoya Krohniana Black....too cute :). I didn't end up including the Hoya Lori Lynn in this one. But I'll have it in another video :). Thanks so much xxoo
Hi Gena. Thanks for sharing your small leaf Hoyas. I must say I enjoy them compared to the very large leafed types. Just watching this video made me think about my very first lot I’ve owned for less than a year and how well they’ve grown even through the winter we’ve just come out of. My more recently purchased plants would be medium leafed and are also growing very well. So I’m doing something right! Thanks again for an interesting video Gena.
Hi Renate!!! Just imagine the amazing growth you will soon get in summer….so exciting!!!!! And the blooms too!!!! So much fun ahead for you 💚💚💚. Thank you 🥰🥰🥰.
OHHHH Drool worthy video. I am so attracted to the really small and really large leaf hoyas. The hoyas I have gotten from your shop have done really well for me.
Hi Chris!!!! Same for me!!!! I love the small ones and the really big ones the most. That’s awesome!!!! Yours are all doing really well for me too 😊😊😊.
Love the small leaf hoyas, thank you for this video! I just learned recently that the variegated bellas are called 'Anneke Buis' (outer variegated) and 'Lida Buis' (inner variegated). They were named for the daughters of the hoya grower who developed them. There is no Hoya bella 'Louis Bois', that's just people struggling to say the name 'Lida Buis' correctly. I can't wait for your next hoya update, thanks again!
Hi, Kristin! That's so interesting! I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing....I love learning new things :). Hope to get a new Hoya video up again soon..they are a favorite of mine. Thanks again!!!
Gena your linearis is STUNNING I have grown it various times to very lush conditions only for it to be decimated by mealy bugs. Now for the umpteenth time I have some vines in water propagation. Loved your small leaf Hoya collection💚
Oh no!!!! How heartbreaking!!!! I have never had any pest issues with mine and I feel I'm jinxing myself by saying that out loud LOL. I hope this one is pest free for you!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you :). Thank you soooo much!!!
I know!!!! It looks like a big plant but it's really not. Just a super cool long stem growing plant. Like I said, it could easily be trellised...but I'm more partial to the crazy wacky wild growth look. Eventually maybe I'll just end up having to trellis them.
Hi Gena! I really enjoyed this video! Small leaf Hoyas are my favorite. You have so many beautiful varieties! I’m envious of how glossy your krohnianas are. Love your little pots too, especially the pottery ones. I think you’ll love the burtoniae once it starts blooming. Mine is a prolific bloomer.
Hi Cheryl!!!! I was just thinking about you today as I was making my video for Sunday 😊😊😊. I won’t give any spoilers here but you’ll see why on Sunday 💚💚💚. Thank you soooo much 🥰. I have always had problems with the Burtoniae so I really hope I can get it to the point of blooming!!!! Hopefully one day!!!!
I’d love you to do a video on how you rescue your Hoyas from root rot and also your philodendron. I have found the philodendron need more moisture and root better in perlite than moss. And all my Hoyas from Lowe’s get root rot so I have been putting them in moss in a baggie and the publicalyx I have in pumice w water and they seem to be doing ok
I love your collection videos!! Your plants are so beautiful. Right now my favorite hoyas are sigillatis, manipurensis, tenchongensis, patella pink, and sp Papua im-08. I really would love thomsomii pink and gps 7240, it looks soooo cute sunstressed!
Thank you 🥰., thanks for sharing your favorites too!!!! I’m going to have to look up the sp. Papua im-08!!!! I’m not familiar with that one!!! Ok now I really want my thomsonii and gps 7240 to grow fast so I can sun stress!!! Thanks for the heads up on that 🥰.
Yes absolutely!! I know gps will sunstress, I don't know if thomsonii does but if it's like patella it might appreciate more light. I'm probably going to order cuttings of both because they are too cute!
I know it’s supposed to work wonders on propagations. I just don’t like it past the point of propagating. In my experience it gets very compacted looking and what bothers me the most is how messy it is lol. I wonder if it has carbon in it because that’s what it reminds me of.
Hello Gena from Puerto Rico!!! Beautiful hoyas!!! Most of mine are in Pon and 1-2 are objecting. I guess they do like more water. I just started my English speaking channel and would appreciate your support. Love your videos!! 🙋🏼♀️🌿🌵🪴
I'm not sure I do. That definitely sounds interesting since some are more prone to pests than others. Thanks for the suggestion. By the way, the soap is AMAZING!!!! I absolutely love it :).
I don't think I am very good with small leaf hoyas although I do love them. I've killed a few of them already. I do have serpens but it lives under a cloche and grows soooo slow. I'd love to try that tengchongensis but I should probably know better!
I think that one is just a slower grower. I haven't had a ton of luck with it either. But my luck seems to be changing since I stuck it in the greenhouse cabinet. I guess time will tell if I get any improvement in the rate of growth :). Actually the tengchongensis seems easier for me...so far anyways.
It is! Dry rot happens when you underwater your plants. The roots dry out too much and then when you water they rot. Root rot is from overwatering. The root’s basically suffocate and rot. Hope that makes sense 😊.
Good to know! I have a kroniana super silver under grow lights and it’s growing wild but, my matilde is in a natural light area, growing so so - I’m going to move the matilde under grow lights now and see how it does.
Yup and I think what really helps both of those types out is to not keep them in terracotta. I want to transfer mine in terracotta out to ceramic. They just dry out too much in the terracotta.
Yippeeeeeee small leaf hoya video 😊thanks super enjoying ❤
So glad!!!! Thank you 🥰
Yeas me too burtonie is not my love but she is huge and always 12 months blooming. Beautiful collection ❤
Ok good to know!!!! I've been disenchanted with that one because it has given me problems...but I am going to really work hard on that one :). Thank you sooooo much!!!!
Love your papillons/butterflies!
Thank you!!!! 🦋💚💚
Beautiful collection!!! 🪴🙋🏼♀️🌱🌿💚
Thank you!!!💚💚💚
Nice collection of small leaf hoyas… my curtsii loves pon.
Thanks!!! Oh awesome!!! I’ll propagate mine in pon. Thanks for the tip 😊.

Thank you so much for showcasing these small leafed Hoyas!
Thanks for watching!!!! 💚💚💚

What a great collection! I love the small leafers! ❤ The variagated ones are definitely my favorite 😍
Thanks!!!! The variegated are just extra special for sure 🥰.
Your collection is amazing!
Thank you!!!! 💚💚💚
Really love your collection
Thank you 🥰
Loved this video love all hoyas but the small leaf ones are so cute🥰
I’m so glad 🥰. I’m particularly partial to the small leafs too because they are just so cute!!!!
Hi Gena, what a great video showing us your collection of small leaf Hoyas. I love them all 🤦🏻♀️
Have a great rest of your week ❤
Hi Sylvia!!!! Thank you 🥰. Glad you enjoyed seeing them 🥰🥰🥰. You as well 😊.

I am just amazed how small the pot size is for the H. engleriana. I like it’s look.
I know!!!! It looks like a big plant but it's really not. Just a super cool long stem growing plant. Like I said, it could easily be trellised...but I'm more partial to the crazy wacky wild growth look. Eventually maybe I'll just end up having to trellis them.
Good Morning Gena ☕️ so excited for this video since Hoya is one of my favorite genus 🥰
Good morning!!!! I hope you enjoy it!!!! Thanks for watching 🥰.

I have always had problems with the Burtoniae so I really hope I can get it to the point of blooming!!!! Hopefully one day!!!!
@@ThePinkTrellis Can’t wait to see Sunday’s video! I’ll be visiting my son’s family this weekend but will try my best to tune in as soon as possible.

Thank you!!!! This just reminded me I need to email you. I’m about to head out but will do so later today 💚💚💚.

Fluval Stratum is the Best for me, but never used it on Hoya. I love Fluval!

Hi! Thank you!!! I will check it out 😊.
Yippee 🎉
💚💚💚
Not that you need another Hoya, but Hoya fitchii is a stunning small leaf Hoya with a delicate splash and light green leaves.
I am all over that!!!! LOL thanks Paul!!!!!
Hey Gena!
Hi Darlene!!!! :)
Do you check for Flat Mites?
No. I have never checked for flat mites.
Love
Do you have a video on houseplants with pest issues and a few that seldom have pests? Thanks if that sounds interesting?
I'm not sure I do. That definitely sounds interesting since some are more prone to pests than others. Thanks for the suggestion. By the way, the soap is AMAZING!!!! I absolutely love it :).
@@ThePinkTrellis Oh, I am so happy that you like it!!

What is dry rot? Different from root rot?
It is! Dry rot happens when you underwater your plants. The roots dry out too much and then when you water they rot. Root rot is from overwatering. The root’s basically suffocate and rot. Hope that makes sense 😊.
Do you have problems with your indoor hoya?
Hi! No not really. Occasionally one will throw a fit (dry rot) but for the most part they do just fine.
Khronianas like high light and moisture. They can’t dry out like other Hoyas. Mathilde is this same requirements.
Good to know! I have a kroniana super silver under grow lights and it’s growing wild but, my matilde is in a natural light area, growing so so - I’m going to move the matilde under grow lights now and see how it does.
