On the "Velma is evil" argument regarding "Where's My Mummy" it is important to note that Velma did not know the gang was going to visit her, and they showed up only a few minutes before the tomb robbers arrived. Velma didn't really have time to adjust her plan. Furthermore, Velma did at least try to convince them to stay out of the tomb and not to investigate the mystery, saying it was too dangerous. They insisted, and almost disrupted her entire plan. I think a good argument can be made that it wasn't really Velma's fault. Everything would have worked out fine if it weren't for those meddling kids!
Scooby doo mystery inc, one of the best reruns of this seriees btw, actually uses this theory in its show! As in, they are doomed to solve mysteries forever.
Some additional entries for the Iceberg: - The 2002 movie was meant to be both a parody and R-Rated. James Gunn has been very open in saying that the 2002 Scooby-Doo movie was meant as a R-Rated comedy, with Daphne and Velma having romantic feelings for each other, Fred being very deluded and full of himself, and the Shaggy and Scooby would've been stoners, which still remains in the final film as some off-hand jokes about smoking weed.
You should check out my other video on the iceberg. I actually talked about what you said here! Minus the fred and shaggy part. But i did talk about the r rated version of the movie. Link below ruclips.net/video/1qSjHgWX9D4/видео.html
The reason scooby doo meets the adams family is on the iceberg is because that is the only episode that has not gotten a physical release, except for an australian vhs copy, because the adams' estate will not let warner release the episode, which is why the newest release on blu ray and dvd is called the almost complete collection, which only doesn't have that one episode.
Ooo. Someone else commented and mentioned this same exact thing (minus the Australian vhs part). I will be sure to include this in my part 2 to this iceberg! Thanks for the information
@@theorist I will add: the “lost episodes” weren’t actually lost. The reason they called that DVD “the lost episodes” was because they released a definitive collection of The New Scooby-Doo Movies on DVD, and many were not included because of negotiations with various guest stars. They eventually sealed the deals on all but the Addams family and released the missing ones as “lost” since they weren’t in the original release.
I remember reading somewhere or seeing a video that explained that if Shaggy was wearing a green shirt, it's a guy in a suit. If Shaggy is in a Red shirt, the monsters are real. I don't think this actually tracks though, because while Shaggy was wearing red in Scooby Doo Meets the Boo Brothers and Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf, I'm pretty sure he was wearing green in Zombie Island.
Boy am I glad that he's in there and we're out here and that he's the sheriff and we're frozen out here and we're in there and I JUST REMEMBERED we're out here. What I wanna know is where's the caveman?
The one about "Velma being evil" may also be referring to the fact that in the "Be cool Scooby doo" series, she gets visited by the christmas ghosts and the one that shows her the future makes her see a future where she is (always) the only villain that the mystery inc group (now really old) stops in the future. This because she at some point separated from the group and blames them for losing her time solving silly mysteries when she could´ve been using her intelligence for more important things.
I've just realized the iceberg video craze has literally let people come out and talk and ramble about their interests in an extensive but organized fashion and I freaking love it.
I kind of want to make another video now, just because i feel like theres a few things i could add. Ill let the video sit for a while (maybe like a week) and let people tell me more stuff i left out. I do have like 3 other videos im working on rn so i would like those finished first
The Scooby-Doo timeline is something special but the reason why real monsters are in some episodes is because of the supernatural crossover which is why real monsters are in the Scooby-Doo universe in the timeline
ohhh. i believe you are referencing scoobynatural. Yeah i have since learned about how that ties into the real monsters in scooby doo. Thanks for the insight though!
@@theorist scooby natural isn't cannon to the scooby doo universe. it's apart of the super natural universe. and real monsters in scooby doo cannon for example every zombie from moon scare island aka zombie island, the real loch ness monster at the end of scooby doo and the loch ness monster, the boo brothers and a lot more i could go on but that deserves a whole video it self. if you need scooby doo info of any kind just reply to my comment and let my no i'll send you my discord over your reply to my comment. I have to much scooby doo knowledge for one human being to have. keep up the good vids man.
@@wizzerd2222 you are wrong and here's why. Scoobynatural takes place during the very 1st season of Scooby-Doo where are you, 1969. It pre-dates everything you mentioned. There are real monsters in Scooby-Doo because of the Winchester brothers and cas interacting with them. They brought real monsters into it.
@@freebird0147 yes it is in the first season But it’s impossible for it to be cannon because it’s an episode that has already taken place before. Scoobynatural is in the super natural universe here’s how. Sam and Dan get a haunted tv which is explained in the special, the tv starts playing Scooby doo where are you season 1 The haunted house hang-up and Sam and Dan get shucked into the episode where Sam state’s later in the special that he grow up watching reruns of the haunted house hang-up, which they use to solve the mystery and get back to there world. Meaning scooby doo is a cartoon in the supernatural universe like how it is for us. They didn’t get sucked into the scooby doo universe itself they just got sucked into the episode. Meaning it can’t be cannon to scooby doo as much as I love this special and the haunted house hang-up it just doesn’t make sense to be cannon to the scooby doo universe. By all means you can say it’s cannon if you want to after all there’s no official cannon confirmed for scooby doo yet. People just make cannon based on what fits and make sense in the given material available to us. Thanks for the feedback people just don’t talk about scooby doo as much anymore but it’s good to no there is sum people still out there.
Funny enough, there is an episode of What's New, Scooby-Doo? in which Shaggy wins a prize to visit the Scooby Snaks factory. I know because I had the VHS tape of that episode as a kid.
I feel like the cactus man is a hallucination. Look at the evidence, 1 he has no motive other than to mess with fred and Daphne. 2 his sudden disappearance. Now you might ask, how did he drink the water? Well i think fred and Daphne already drank the water and the hallucination is from dehydration in the dessert. That would kinda explain why the cactus "drank" the water there was probably no water to begin with.
oh yeah! i could definitely see this being real. It explains his sudden disappearance and the disappearance of the water. And we did see fred already hallucinate earlier with the pool so its entirely plausible!
Man, I was waiting on you to mention the Johnny Bravo Crossover. I remember having a good time with that episode, and some of the gags still hold up. Other than that, Great video!
Ooooo. that'll be a good addition to my part 2 on this video. A lot of people have been commenting on stuff I missed so i am currently working on a part 2 to this iceberg where I cover what I missed! Be sure to subscribe so u don't miss that upload
Sounds like someone watched the "Recipe For Disaster" episode of Scooby-Doo, and then dreamt it into a cannibalistic nightmare. Because the whole premise of that episode is as described in 16:20, except for cannibalistic Scooby.
Yeah! A few other comments beat you to it as they already explained this. Still pretty interesting thing to point out tho! Check out part 2 for more information!
Yeah, the gang usally not aging is an interesting theme. Most of the time the characters are high schoolers. In a few 80's shows they are stated to have graduated and having jobs and carreers. Same goes for 1998's Zombie Island. On Be Cool they have graduated and aren't at collage yet, because of mystery solving. Strangely in the sequels to Zombie Island and 13 Ghosts they are suddenly younger than in the original. Also there is the triology with the Sheriff from these movies. In Happy Halloween he says, he fooled them "all these years" but they didn't age during these 3 movies. My theory is, that due to some curse or some Anunaki prophecy (- ya know, Mystery Incorporated series) the gang always dies when Scooby does. A great dane has a life expectation of less than 10 years. And they either are reborn as babys maybe in a different town (coolsville, crysral cove), to different parents or they suddenly awake in the bodies of other teenagers and meet Scooby. Sometimes they meet villians from other incarnations or remember older mysteries. But they think all their memories come from one life. They don't know, that they always die and come back. This is absolutely bonkers and could hardly work in the canon, but I like it. It's my head canon.
I LOVE THE LAST PART. ITS MY HEAD CANON. LOLLLL. Thats meee. I love your points, especially about mystery incorporated. I actually did mean to include mystery inc in this and i even had it in my script. I just somehow glossed over it while recording. As for the gang not aging, an interesting theory you got goin! I love it
The gang literally do age. You just have to understand the chronological order of the series and movies, which can be a bit difficult as they are ordered all over the place. There is a whole series of them as kids, multiple series as high schoolers, and a few series and movies with them as young adults.
The shaggy is an addict part is actually talking about an episode from the adult swim show Harvey birdman attorney at law where shaggy and scooby go to court because they used weed
@@theorist go watch the third episode of Harvey birdman attorney at law shaggy busted that's the episode the shaggy is addicted is probably talking about
The Reddit No Sleep Help me identify this Scooby-Doo episode post goes into the same vain as the infamous Saki Sanobachi post on 4Chan Supernatural category on what is the most disturbing thing you have ever seen that very day.
@@theorist Well be warned; if you use the Wayback Machine in Internet Archive and get to that post, you’ll be easily disturbed by that creepy pasta esque s**t which isn’t as clear and real as Sesame Street Crack Master and Nickelodeon Clockman.
That jump scare from the flash game scarred me for ages. It still scares me when I see the picture of it. I was even playing it with my dad when it happened and he was like “it’s just a stupid jump scare” but omg hahaha
The concept of real monsters versus people in costumes was really at the forefront of the Zombie Island movie if you wanted to dive further down that rabbit hole, it was one of the first times that real monsters were the main villains of the story and definitely diverged from the previous canon plot line of unmasking the human bad guy at the end of the tv episodes.
In regards to the show having actual super natural events, one example of it would be in the episode “a night of fright is no delight” (I think) after they unmask the phantom shadows and scooby collects his reward for spending the night in the mansion, the brief case is filled with civil war money making it worthless but then a floating bone just kinda appears out of no where and everyone’s like “well isn’t that cool”
The gang did go to the Scooby snack factory at one point, but Scooby did not eat the gang in it. As for the gang not aging, in the 13 ghosts of scooby doo, they only catch 12 until a movie that takes place around a decade later. In it Flim Flam grows up but the rest of the gang does not.
My guess for Scooby-Dee being on the list is that in the episode it’s stated that she’s Scooby-doo and Scooby-dums cousin. And they both are trying to win her over romantically, and whenever she kisses one the other gets jealous. It’s all kinda weird
I think the Adams Family part was to point out that Monster definitely exist in Scoobies universe. Because not only does The Adams Family have real monsters in it. But so does the whole underground monster society that them and their extended family are part of.
i'm surprised mystery inc wasn't involved in it considering it's the darkest out of all the scooby doo series like the episode of people being eaten alive by cicadas
Additional stuff for the iceberg: In the 2010 series, There are implications of a character death by being brutally shot by what sounds like a multi-round caliber (Correct me if I got the gun-type incorrect. I'm not exactly one who knows all the different types.) in one of the last few episodes of season 2 along with other potentially unsuitable moments for children. Probably making the series being one of the the most darkest ones to date. If anyone's wondering, yes it's the Mystery Incorporated series.
I remember watching 'A Pup named Scooby Doo' with my sister whenever we were home sick from school, it was so comforting. Ironically, I'm sick right now and watching your iceberg video about scooby doo, at 28 I still find scooby doo comforting!
i think the drug addict one is literally just in reference to the fact that he looks and acts like a stoner, i dont think that whole creepypasta is what the original author meant also shaggy hates his real name as has been stated in a few episodes across the various series so i dont think he'd be depressed at being called shaggy
“What most people think of when you say Scooby Doo” Me: I know you said it 2 seconds ago but I already forgot what it’s called. THE ORIGINAL IS ALWAYS THE BEST!!!
The scobby doo factory episode does exist kinda its called Recipe for Disaster i don't remember them eating people but this could be what her memory was based on
There’s the theory that the gang is running from the government. The theory goes that since Where Are You first aired during the Vietnam war, Shaggy (who is a hippie) and Fred are running away from the draft, hence why they’re constantly moving around. Daphne is Fred’s girlfriend, and Velma is actually a protester who joins them
Also for the cursed costume theory. In the new series, Wonder Woman and Mystery Inc hunt down a minotaur. He stays in character even when Wonder woman is swinging a sword at him.
RUclips user Joe Capo is actually the person who created the original ultra instinct shaggy meme, He used to shitpost a lot on yt. He also made several videos on his channel that explained how he created the meme, and how many people have stolen and reposted all of his memes including the shaggy meme. It was made in part of a series he created called Dragonball X which was very strange to say the least, with characters like Scooby being a god of destruction and Duracell (literally Cell but orange with duracell batteries on his head) shit like that. I'm pretty sure it came about around the time that Dragonball Super (tournament of power arc) came out, that's when my friends and I found his series anyway. Joe stated many times in a lot of videos that most of his shit was stolen from him which probably caused him to consistently purge videos on his channel. I remember some time in he past 2 years he deleted everything off his channel and re-uploaded some content, and kept doing that in a cycle until he deleted everything again, changed his channel name, then seemingly disappeared from yt. He also said that any other channels that claimed they were him or made his stuff were lying. I'm pretty sure there's at least one or two channels that have reuploaded a lot of his videos. He created an "Oats" series as well that started that stupid lamp meme eventually because people stole his idea and turned it into something else. It's really strange and I can't even explain what made me pay attention to his activity besides that it was just so jarring. Great video by the way! I had a huge ??? moment when you mentioned the Ultra Instinct meme and I can guarantee the video you mentioned was made BECAUSE they watched Joe Capo's DBX.
Scooby-Doo is not only my favorite cartoon of all time, but my favorite character and as a fan for probably 19 years now. The second I saw this, I immediately needed to watch this video to expand my knowledge of Scooby lore . Also, the gameplay you have was one of my favorite games to play on the PS2 😂
A little bummed that Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated wasn't anywhere on this list, that show was wild. I think it actually ended up putting the gang into the Cthulhu mythos by the end. God that show was good
An interesting fact to possibly add to this iceberg is that there exists a Scooby Doo movie that doesn't feature *any* monsters, or paranormal occurrences, or villains in costumes, OR even a central mystery to solve. It's called 'Scooby Goes Hollywood' and is from either the late 70s or early 80s. Shaggy basically convinces Scooby that he should leave his regular series (which exists in this universe as a Sat AM cartoon, so meta before meta was really a common thing) and strike out for bigger and better roles in Hollywood, and the whole movie basically revolves around them trying to get a movie deal. Also the gang (who all play themselves in the show, apparently) try to get the two of them to come back and do the regular series again. It's admittedly a lot different from the usual 'Scooby' formula, but I still think it's quite fun. I used to watch it all the time as a kid.
there IS an episode of "What's New, Scooby-Doo?" in which shaggy wins a trip to a scooby snack factory, but thats all the similarities it has with the nosleep post
There is a show called Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law that aired on Adult Swim. It featured Hanna- Barbera cartoons needing to go to court for various reasons. Scooby Doo and Shaggy were taken to jail in one episode under suspicion of being high while driving the Mystery Machine. They took clips from the original Scooby Doo as their evidence. There was also an episode coving the shows that were copies of each other like Jabberjaw, Speed Buggy, and Scooby Doo. It's an awesome show with adult humor. I highly recommend giving it a watch if you guys haven't. Also, Frank Welker has voiced Fred in every cartoon adaption of Scooby Doo since the original and has voiced Scooby Doo since 2002. He's an absolute legend!
I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned this, but in a movie called scooby doo and the monster of Mexico , Fred confirmed that Shaggy has a high metabolism.
The 'bad artstyle Version" of Scooby doo of 2017 had one of the best and funniest scenes ever: that scene were the clown police took away the evil clowns. The first time I saw it, it got me laughing for several minutes and everyone, I have shown it to, loved it too.
The Addams Family reference is to the fact it is the only officially unreleased episode of The New Scooby-Doo Movies. I believe John Astin won't release the rights to use his voice in a home media release.
@@theorist As of 2019, Warner apparently still can't release "Wednesday is Missing" (the one where Scooby meets the Addams Family) on DVD. It is expected this was a hold up between either the John Astin or Carolyn Jones estate.
I feel like the 17:00 lost episode is based off a real episode except instead of Scooby killing everyone, the factory is haunted by a monster made of batter. It's actually a pretty good episode.
Regarding the "real monsters" part, I remember one of the "What's new Scooby Doo-era" animated movies actually had the very real version of the ghost someone else was impersonating show up at the very end of the movie, which gave me nightmares as a kid. I don't remember the name of the movie, but it was the one in an American Creek.
I remember the marathon they ran in the 2000s where they included commercials featuring the 1969/1970 versions talking about all kinds of facts about them and the show. For instance, Shaggy is called Shaggy because he has shaggy hair. But he used to go to military school and was called Buzz because he had a Buzz cut.
:O thanks! I love comments like this. Keeps me motivated. Im currently rearranging my little studio so ill be back to editing soon. Keep on the lookout for another video later today or tomorrow!
@@theorist I will be! I also am going to watch your TLOU video soon. I wrote my Scooby Iceberg script last week and then this popped into my recommended. It's such good quality! I can't wait to fully watch it and compare the notes we managed to get on each topic :)
This is so cool! One thing I thought would be on here that I can't find anywhere on the internet is the game show mini episodes. I remember watching them on CDs when I was younger. Like halfway through an episode a live action guy would pop up in a game show looking room and ask trivia questions about scooby doo (like multiple choice questions) then ask the viewer to answer them. I was wondering if anyone else remembers this?
The Great Depression theory actually is probably because the time it first aired, also love how you were playing Scooby Doo Night of 100 Frights!, I was just playing that before getting recommended this. Next with the disease theory, I personally think its just supposed to be basic humor. And the disappearing cactus man is just plain disturbing.
OH MY GOD i remember playing Escape From The Coolsonian when i was in elementry school in the library! That damned scared of that jumpscare spooked me so hard i remember awkwardly trying to show my the other kids in the class the game being like "it's gunna come any minute now"
I LOVE the scooby project. It's one of my favorite videos of all time and its so obscure and i think that makes it so much more creepy. although im kinda sad mystery inc (the 2010 show) wasn't added. it was so good and had so much lore and creepyness than (in my opinion) any of the other shows or movies.

For the real monsters in scooby doo theres multiple movies/episodes in which there is supernatural elements. Like the 13 ghosts of scooby doo, mystery incorporated, episodes in a pup named scooby doo, the boo brothers movie, zombie island movie, ghoul school movie and both live action movies. So in the scoobyverse theres instance after instance where the monsters are real.
Don't forget the series with just Shaggy, Scooby doo and Scrappy! That series, just called Scooby doo and Scrappy doo was 30 minutes long and had 7 minute shorts with them interacting with actual supernatural creatures, not only ghosts as I remember episodes with aliens and magic. Then the next series The New Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo Show had some episodes with real monsters. Like the episode where they baby sit for Dracula and Frankenstein's monster is also there. Or the episode they visit a party for an old movie star and at the very end its revealed to be that she's a vampire. This series was the one with only Shaggy, Scooby, Scrappy and Daphne
Shaggy beating up a bunch of bikers is actually a scene from my childhood favorite Scooby Doo movie "Scooby-doo! Legend of the phantosaur". Im surprised more ppl dont know about it but hey ig not everyone was as obsessed with dinosaurs as I was T0T
That cactus man thing was a really weird and specific thing to choose for the last layer. I think it was done more to pad out the episode's run time since the new scooby-doo movies were 45 minutes long. But then after watching this video I started thinking about it more and then it really started bothering me. If there was someone in the suit how did they get away so fast? It's a really weird thing.
8:40 I think the part about some monsters/ghosts being real is actually referring to the straight to DVD’s movies you added to the list. Since all of those movies (except for the Cyber one) had real paranormal events
In the zombie island movie fred tries to unmask a zombie but ends up pulling its head off or something i can't remember anyway thats probably what the real monsters entry is talking about
You should check out my latest video!! It has 24 more items on the iceberg to add and i go over stuff i didnt cover enough in this one such as the real monsters thing! ruclips.net/video/1qSjHgWX9D4/видео.html
A couple additions. The monsters are real comment probably refers to the 80s movies where the monsters are real like Ghoul School, Boo Brothers, Reluctant Werewolf, and of course 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo. The comment for the Addams Family episode is because they copyright blocked it and it was not released on the Scooby movies dvd. I don't know where you can watch it.
A lot of what you're saying in regards to Shaggy being a drug addict is a tad silly, *but* this is a pretty old thing even before that "theory" cropped up. Even when I was fairly young people would make jokes about him basically being a stoner, and it makes sense. He's depicted as kind of a hippy who loves food and is lazy etc. The live action Scooby-Doo movie makes several jokes about it, like the girl Shaggy like being named Mary Jane and the part at the beginning where you see smoke coming out and it turns out they're making hot dogs on a grill instead. Also the "Gang being cursed" one reminds me of the book "John Dies at the End" which is set in a town that the author refuses to reveal (They just call it "Redacted") and the town is just sort of a magnet of weirdness, its never explained *why* and there are various silly theories presented. If you like horror-comedy check out that book and its sequels - they're fun. They can even be genuinely scary too when they want to. I saw The Scooby Doo Project live. I remember when I first found it online it brought up some major memories, we used to watch Cartoon Network all the time. Cartoon Cartoon fridays were the best.
I remember having a leapfrog 3ds device and playing a scooby doo game where the whole gang was there but shaggy and scooby were the main charaters. I had some puzzles to figure out. I also remember a specific chain rattling noise anytime a ghost figure appeared.
okay this is an old video but ima put my opinion out here- Even though everyone hates Be Cool Scooby-Doo for its art style, I don't think it should've gotten cancelled. I loved getting laughs from this show and the last few episodes with the whole story/huge adventure thing were amazing! I loved the whole Fred and his father thing, and the whole twist with Rose.
Apparently I missed a LOT of stuff in this iceberg. Be sure to check out my part 2 on this video where I cover what I missed. It should be out in a few days or so after my next wandavision video
I’m sure it’s addressed in part 2 but as far as I know some cases where the monsters were real: most of the originals , (Zombie Island, Witch Ghost, Alien Invaders,) There was a lot of supernatural references and events in Mystery Inc, and the live action movies
My own Fan theory, is that Shaggy and Scooby were actual in the Army in the 60's and were recruited into the drug trials. After an extremely high reaction, they became highly anxious often turning to food for comfort and overreacting to "scary monsters" I believe their friends started mystery inc to help Scooby and Shaggy face their resulting drug reactions, and calm their fears. Scooby snax are loaded with anti-anxiety or smaller doses of the drug, which helps them to become almost fearless. It's explains why they almost always evade monsters with comical but amazing skill. It would also explain why under hypnosis shaggy had expert level combat and motorcycle skills.
The Adams Family/Wednesday's Missing one is a reference to the fact that it's the one episode of the New Movies that hasn't been released on DVD due to licensing issues. The series has been partially released on multiple occasions as they managed to negotiate for the rights to release them from the various companies and estates. So far, that's the one last holdout.
Scooby Doo and the Goblin King, all of the stuff in that film was real including the fact that Shaggy and Scooby had to go through thw Halloween world to save Earth from a really petty magician who turns Fred, Daphne and Velma into monsters near the end
Cyber chase is definitely top tier scooby… Followed by zombie island…. I’m 43 now have been watching scooby for as long as I can remember…now my kids and my grandkids carry on the tradition ,but not without me.. I really enjoyed the upload and appreciate your work.
Velma also became evil in Frankencreepy, I believe it was called
@@pipflakebricks8711 Yes, but it's stated in that movie she was under the control of outside forces and it wasn't her own choice.

Ohhh i see. I couldve definitely worded it better in the video. Appreciate the comment!
No problem dude, nice video btw.
Thanks!
I think it could be a reference to mistery incorporated, because the gang is cursed, the series itself said it, history goes on repeating itself
Scooby doo mystery inc, one of the best reruns of this seriees btw, actually uses this theory in its show! As in, they are doomed to solve mysteries forever.
Mystery Inc. was quite dark, brutal and had amazing closure. Maybe my most favourite series from SD universe (+ the first Scooby Doo series)

Some additional entries for the Iceberg:
- The 2002 movie was meant to be both a parody and R-Rated.

I don't think this actually tracks though, because while Shaggy was wearing red in Scooby Doo Meets the Boo Brothers and Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf, I'm pretty sure he was wearing green in Zombie Island.
Oh wow. Thats actually quite the catch for someone to make. Even though it doesnt completely hold up, its still pretty cool to think about!
He wears a red shirt in 13 ghosts of scooby doo too
I always thought it was a green shirt when he was with the gang and a red shirt without the gang. But that's neat.
he was also wearing green in the coral reef monster episode i think and that one was real too
Exept for mystery inc because went they went against the freak who was a real monster he wasent wearing a red shirt
Boy am I glad that he's in there and we're out here and that he's the sheriff and we're frozen out here and we're in there and I JUST REMEMBERED we're out here.
What I wanna know is where's the caveman?
OH MY GOD THAT WOULD'VE BEEN A GREAT ADDITION. AHHHHHH. I HAVE TO REDO IT NOW LMAOOOOO
Awesome Skooks reference!
fun fact: scoobert doobert
Just remembered were in there and I wanna know is where's the cavemen
The one about "Velma being evil" may also be referring to the fact that in the "Be cool Scooby doo" series, she gets visited by the christmas ghosts and the one that shows her the future makes her see a future where she is (always) the only villain that the mystery inc group (now really old) stops in the future. This because she at some point separated from the group and blames them for losing her time solving silly mysteries when she could´ve been using her intelligence for more important things.
Holy fuck what episode was that
I def gotta check it out
I gotta watch that episode, what the fuck
I've just realized the iceberg video craze has literally let people come out and talk and ramble about their interests in an extensive but organized fashion and I freaking love it.
Yeah. I really like icebergs. Plus. It makes for great bingeable content
@@theorist absolutely! I lose myself in them all the time while working on something!
I think the "Shaggy is an addict" part is a reference to the common Shaggy is a stoner joke.
Do you plan on making a follow up to this iceberg video?
I kind of want to make another video now, just because i feel like theres a few things i could add. Ill let the video sit for a while (maybe like a week) and let people tell me more stuff i left out.
I do have like 3 other videos im working on rn so i would like those finished first

the 2002 movie handled it well

@@theorist Sure, will do :D
I was thinking that too. I was like "right up until Scooby eating the gang, everything checked out."

@@theorist damn I’m late to the party 😂
I love it
@@theorist oh thank you. Iol. Yeah Mystery Incorporated makes a lot of things possible. Looking forward to your next videos.
I love this! Awesome theory! 👍
Man, Mystery Inc. was amazing. Still bitter that it didn't get a proper conclusion.
Wait whaaa. Ima have to look this up!

Bro same,
The concept of real monsters versus people in costumes was really at the forefront of the Zombie Island movie if you wanted to dive further down that rabbit hole, it was one of the first times that real monsters were the main villains of the story and definitely diverged from the previous canon plot line of unmasking the human bad guy at the end of the tv episodes.
As shown by Velma’s reaction to witchcraft
Boo brothers, ghoul school and reluctant werewolf all had real ghosts/ monsters over a decade before zombie island
I laughed so hard when I heard “Shaggy and Scooby have a disease”
I seen this comment right when he said this
LOLLL. Perfect timing 😂
@@theorist it happens all the time
Its kinda cool:))
What about the one series, “Scooby Doo mystery incorporated” it was a really good adaptation of Scooby Doo and it was serious and had a story to it.

Ever played Scooby and cyber case on ps1 ! That ghost is a nightmare to beat!
I thought that everyone knew about all these series and theory’s. I’m starting to think maybe I’m a little obsessed with the whole franchise-
The cactus man in The New Scooby-Doo Movies is probably a Cactuar from the Final Fantasy franchise.
wait... no this one's onto something here
I think they are on cactus juice ('its the quenchiest!') - sokka and momo in atla b2
But so does the whole underground monster society that them and their extended family are part of.
oooo. i like this point. I did however clarify the real monsters thing in part 2! you should check it out if you hvan'et already!

I saw the second right after this one. But you are totally right, you did have this in the second one. Great videos man.
The Cactus Man was clearly an SCP.
i'm surprised mystery inc wasn't involved in it considering it's the darkest out of all the scooby doo series like the episode of people being eaten alive by cicadas
nevermind i saw the second video
Additional stuff for the iceberg:
In the 2010 series, There are implications of a character death by being brutally shot by what sounds like a multi-round caliber (Correct me if I got the gun-type incorrect. I'm not exactly one who knows all the different types.) in one of the last few episodes of season 2 along with other potentially unsuitable moments for children. Probably making the series being one of the the most darkest ones to date. If anyone's wondering, yes it's the Mystery Incorporated series.
Hotdog water was shot by a WW2 robot. Series finale
I remember watching 'A Pup named Scooby Doo' with my sister whenever we were home sick from school, it was so comforting. Ironically, I'm sick right now and watching your iceberg video about scooby doo, at 28 I still find scooby doo comforting!
i think the drug addict one is literally just in reference to the fact that he looks and acts like a stoner, i dont think that whole creepypasta is what the original author meant
also shaggy hates his real name as has been stated in a few episodes across the various series so i dont think he'd be depressed at being called shaggy
Escape from the Coolsonian was my thing back in primary school, I think it might have been my first jump scare experience.
“What most people think of when you say Scooby Doo”
Me: I know you said it 2 seconds ago but I already forgot what it’s called. THE ORIGINAL IS ALWAYS THE BEST!!!
The cactus man entry is creepy for real. Not even given an explanation as to how that even happened.

@@theorist Yeah, I did. I posted the comment before I saw there was a part 2.
Ooo! Gotcha! Yeah i figured. Sorry for getting to ur comment so late! Ive been trying to catchup on all the comments ive been getting!
What about scooby doo and the 13 ghosts and mystery incorporation
Oooo. Ill be sure to include these in the follow up video im making. It should be coming out soon!
OOO i didn't even know about that, also you should check out part 2 to the iceberg if you haven't already!
!!! Thank you! People keep forgetting Scooby Dee and Scooby Dum!!! They're Doo's cousins!
I knowww. I feel like people dont know/remember them at all
@@theorist I left the comment on the part 2 but, my sister swore up and down that i had made up scooby dum
I remember the Scooby Doo Project, I didn't understand it since I was a kid and didn't know about the Blaire Witch Project at the time.
you should watch the part 2 to this iceberg! it goes a lot more indepth than part 1
LMAOOO
A pup named Scooby Doo is probably my favorite iteration of Scooby Doo
The Addams Family reference is to the fact it is the only officially unreleased episode of The New Scooby-Doo Movies. I believe John Astin won't release the rights to use his voice in a home media release.
Oh i didn't actually know this. I wonder why John Astin won't release the rights. thats pretty strange.
@@theorist As of 2019, Warner apparently still can't release "Wednesday is Missing" (the one where Scooby meets the Addams Family) on DVD. It is expected this was a hold up between either the John Astin or Carolyn Jones estate.
Oh wow. Ima include this little bit of information in my part 2 video. It should come out shortly after my next iceberg video
I'm here from reddit and oh my god I'm loving your content! :)

That damned scared of that jumpscare spooked me so hard i remember awkwardly trying to show my the other kids in the class the game being like "it's gunna come any minute now"

the "shaggy is a drug addict" one is infuriating because i know exactly when and why that came about. was a very crusty time on the internet

Kinda thought that he'd have rabies from something else and become Cujo. Wasn't expecting it to be a Scooby snack.
Ooo i see what u were thinking there. Makes sense
I feel like this left a lot out. No Mystery Inc or live action movies? No mention of the failed reboot where they diversified the gang?
For the real monsters in scooby doo theres multiple movies/episodes in which there is supernatural elements. Like the 13 ghosts of scooby doo, mystery incorporated, episodes in a pup named scooby doo, the boo brothers movie, zombie island movie, ghoul school movie and both live action movies. So in the scoobyverse theres instance after instance where the monsters are real.
Oh wow! I actually never realized how many real supernatural occurences happen. Thanks for the insight!
Music of the vampire also tackled real supernatural stuff. Also Shaggy did bowl against Dracula
It used to come on boomerang
I also remember a specific chain rattling noise anytime a ghost figure appeared.
okay this is an old video but ima put my opinion out here-
Even though everyone hates Be Cool Scooby-Doo for its art style, I don't think it should've gotten cancelled. I loved getting laughs from this show and the last few episodes with the whole story/huge adventure thing were amazing! I loved the whole Fred and his father thing, and the whole twist with Rose.
Me during the cursed costume theory: WHERE IS MY SHAGGY COSTUME!??!?!!?
Shaggy fighting bikers was a movie not the og series tho
Scooby Dee is Scoob's sister from the Scooby and Scrappy era. Dixie Doo is his cousin who is often mistaken for Dee.
Wow! I actually lernt a few new things even though i'm a real Scooby Doo nerd. I heard about the ice berg but never saw the original post
Apparently I missed a LOT of stuff in this iceberg. Be sure to check out my part 2 on this video where I cover what I missed. It should be out in a few days or so after my next wandavision video
Don’t forget Mystery Inc.
The 🐐 Scooby Doo show imo.
It had storylines, stakes, character development, mature themes, just the whole package.
I’m sure it’s addressed in part 2 but as far as I know some cases where the monsters were real: most of the originals , (Zombie Island, Witch Ghost, Alien Invaders,)
There was a lot of supernatural references and events in Mystery Inc, and the live action movies
I did address it in part 2! Thanks for commenting tho! I also go a lot more in depth on part 2
Well done.
Nice to see you on RUclips, tho.
Thanks! I think im finally back to uploading again. I got tired of seeing the channel dead.
A Pup Named Scooby was my favorite as a kid! I always looked forward to it and 2 Stupid Dogs!
So when it comes to real monsters in the Scooby Doo universe is a different timeline when they met dean and Sam off supernatural
I actually address it in this video! you should check out my part 2. much more in depth and LOTS more

Aren't we gonna acknowledge that be cool Scooby Doo has a family guy or an American dad art style
Scooby Doo and the Goblin King, all of the stuff in that film was real including the fact that Shaggy and Scooby had to go through thw Halloween world to save Earth from a really petty magician who turns Fred, Daphne and Velma into monsters near the end
watch the film theory
Cyber chase is definitely top tier scooby…
Followed by zombie island….
I’m 43 now have been watching scooby for as long as I can remember…now my kids and my grandkids carry on the tradition ,but not without me.. I really enjoyed the upload and appreciate your work.
