Yes! If you hold two strands of DK yarn while crocheting, it should be about the size of medium weight yarn

that's a good idea, but that only works with three strands, would it end up too thick? Also are two 100g balls enough for a pair. Thanks

Do you mean for the sewing? You just want to make sure that the heart is right side up and the right sides are facing out
