That’s also my favorite it’s so slept on
I can’t pick a favorite song from Zach I mean there are around 350 to 400 songs I have heard from him that all compete for it. My honest opinion is Zach is the greatest song writer of all time and this is coming from someone that has studied almost all genres of music. He is an absolute legend in my opinion.

one of my favorites as well... hits harder when you've lived there for a few years and make really good friends and then move away.
Throughout the video, mostly in the notebook, there are references to Zach's other songs through the lyrics. 9 Ball, The Greatest Day of My Life, his poem this road I know, Younger Years, and Travelin' Man were the ones I caught.
I know you enjoy zach's emotion in his songs, you should watch a live version of Revival where he announces his band members at the end of concert, he goes crazy! The facial expressions he makes and the emotion he exudes gives you chills

About the music video not zach: I think his father passed away and as he’s cleaning out his house he finds a diary of his dad doing a cross country road trip and he does the same road trip in the video, and I think it ends at his grandfathers grave, which is where his dad finished the initial road trip to visit HIS dads grave.
Not sure how well the song coordinates but the video it’s self is extremely moving

You should look into Charles Wesley Goodwin. A country singer from West Virginia. His best songs imo is the last bite, cranes of potter and Seneca creek, but really all of his songs are really good.

Please so some older stuff!!! “A Boy like you” is a song that hits me so hard, also “Leaving” “from a lovers point of view” TALK about sad music. These are his sad classics that made me fall in love with him.
Lyrically I think he’s talking about reconnecting with his Boys from another time in his life. In his concert he talks about his band mates are all friends from high school that all went their own way. When he started making it big he said he called them up to go on the road with him. “High tide, it’s been rising up” is the climb and getting bigger as artists. “Thinkin of the times that you didn’t bat an eye at all those times of shade” is referencing being there for him when they didn’t have success, because they were Boys of Faith. They had faith in him. I think the video tells a different story than what he meant when he wrote the song.
