WARNING: These do not work on PS5 via 2.4 GHz. What do you guys think of the price? Do you think it is worth it? I'd love to discuss. Honestly, I'm still LOVING the sound, look, and comfort of these. I was playing Horizon Zero Dawn last night with a different pair of headphones and then took those off to put these on and felt so much more immersed. They may not be the most accurate sounding but man do they make it feel like you are there.as Custom EQ Settings: 125 Hz = -2 250 Hz = 2 1000 Hz = 2 4000 Hz = 4 8000 Hz = 6
Price has to do with materials. If you own the Apple AirPod max you’ll notice that they use them as inspiration for these headphones. Higher end materials result in higher prices. 😅
@@Z_3D While I agree that price and materials do go hand in hand, I don’t see this headset having higher quality parts than others at lower price brackets, but perhaps I’m missing something. I do own the AirPods Max and while I agree some of those materials help justify the cost even those are still way over what they should be for what you get. Personally, I find the drivers and sound quality to be in the $100 range. The cushions you could argue to a certain degree put it in the upper end as is the headband wrap. So, agree there. But have seen lower tier headsets with similar quality for a lot less. The paint is very good as well. Which helps justify upper end, but not premium price bracket to me. Microphone also comes in at the $100 - $150 range for me in terms of the ones I’ve tested. Yes, it is solid. I think $150 - $175 is justified. $225 I personally think is excessive for what you get. But I’m extremely interesting in hearing your thoughts on the matter. What makes you think this headset is using higher end materials over something cheaper? Or what justifies the cost in your opinion?
@@ThomasMuehler I noticed the other ones in the gaming line up are all plastic based housing without the metal articulating band. I suppose I will agree with you after they arrive and I try them on and compare to my other headsets. I don't have anything that will provide mic input and ps5 compatibility out of the box. I saw them all at Akihabara mall in Tokyo and decided on these based on your review and my time trying them on in person. Hopefully the price will go down as the year passes. I've seen the other rgb option on best buys website for 50 dollars off!
@@ThomasMuehler I can't really hear much on it. Ive turned it all the way up and raised the volume on the PS5. I'm really just astounded at how low it is. You were right. Not worth the price.
@@Z_3D You’ve definitely got me thinking a lot about the quality of components that I think I overlooked originally. I do appreciate that. As like you say the metal articulating band is better than most that are plastic. I doubt they will reduce in price and I’d be interested to hear what else you think and find on them once you get them in and get more familiar with them. Unfortunately, they DO NOT work on PS5. As your findings are similar to my own and many others in my comments thread. I’m pretty sure it is due for licensing. Where since Logitech didn’t pay Sony (my assumption not confirmed) they artificially limit the sound to be exceedingly low and unusable. Even though they come up on the PS5 as working correctly. Which is dumb. However, you could plug it in via 3.5 mm Aux into your controller and it should work normally (but you’ll need a 4 pole aux cord so mic will work). Bluetooth also may work (I’m not sure if PS5 even has Bluetooth) but you’ll notice some latency with it. Otherwise it only works on PC (3.5 aux, Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless) and phone (via Bluetooth). Where you’ll notice volume is just fine. I missed it too as they don’t mention official support for consoles. Again, not sure why they chose not to have these work on console. Which just reinforces my opinion that I think Logitech totally dropped the ball on this headset and line of peripherals.
I've had this headset for over a month now, and I adore it. As a female gamer I find other headsets are waaaay too big for my head and ears and are loose and uncomfortable, these are perfect! A huge problem that I've had with other headsets is it being a bit too noise cancelling and I find myself shouting, these are perfect and dont make me feel deaf to my own voice. They are so soft and comfortable and light even with glasses on, no creaking so far and they are fantastic on the go with a huge bluetooth range. The GHub is great for customising the lights on the headset and the battery life is exceptional!! Now the cons, the mic is absolutely awful, even with the post processing presets. Its just awful, no ifs or buts about it. And of course the price, its so pretty and comfortable but shouldnt be more than 150 in my personal opinon.
So how is it after 2 months ? I really need some white clean headphones for gaming mine Razer barracuda got some problems wich is kinda annoying.. and my channel is mostly white and blue as my logo so I find them so refreshing.. do you stream or make video’s yourself as well ?
All of the Logitech g series headsets are very comfy even the 435 which are small but still very comfy but that mic popping is excessive it was none stop the mics on the other headsets that I own are so much better in terms of that. I'll still use em to game but that's it no streaming with those for me
I have a small head too and deal with the same issues you mentioned, which is what drew me to these (aside from how pretty they are lol) but the mic is really horrible (especially for how much they cost). I currently have Steelseries Arctis 7+ which have an okay mic but it retracts which I adore so much and don't know if I could live without now. They were too big originally but I got thicker earcups from amazon and it solved that issue perfectly, though it can cause some discomfort with glasses after a long time (but that's usually a good signal that I've been on my computer too long lol). I just wish they were all white. They are really sleek and minimal and feel super high quality but the aurora headset definitely wins in aesthetics. I guess ill just have to go try on the auroras in store, but I cant tell if they would be a more expensive downgrade. They're so pretty though I wish I could combine the best of both😭
I have the G733, and was looking for an alternative as the mic seems to not pick up as well now, and I worry about when the elastic band looses elasticity and would rather have a more sleek looking headset, has anyone here made the switch? What do you think of both headsets?
I picked up a pair on sale for $80 off today, so I'm happy. I really wish the headset had connectivity via the USB cable, but alas I learned that the USB cable appears to only be for charging. My Corsair has ability to connect via dongle, usb cable, or Bluetooth so I do kinda miss that option. I don't use 3.5mm connections anymore. I still have to experiment more with this headset, but so far seems ok. My intent is to primarily use it for Teams, Zoom, and training video watching on the PC, and perhaps to use the Bluetooth for calls & listening to music from my phone. I love the feel wearing these. Very comfortable. Probably the best I've used in recent memory. They look amazing as well.
I found it wild that USB is only for charging. As that doesn't make sense to me. Especially, for the price. If you remember to update me I'd love to hear how it works out for you with Teams and so on. As I'm getting a lot of comments who want to use it for the same thing and would love to hear how it works from a real world perspective so I can share it with them. Definitely very comfortable and are one of the most attractive headsets I've seen. And for $80 off I think you got it at a good price for what you get. But again, looking forward to hearing your findings if you care to get back to me.
This was the exact reason I looked up a review of the headset as I just got them during Prime Day for a lot off as well, making them well below the 200 price and more in the range of 150 aka their worth. Now, I realize the USB is only for charging as confirmed by this comment thread... :( Is there a way to maybe have them charging AND usable at the same time? Another cord purchase perhaps?
Just bought this headset and I love it, sound quality is not as rich as to the HyperX cloud alpha (my old ones) but I can bare with that considering they are super pretty especially now that I stumbled upon your video and your EQ preset helped SOOOO much, thank you so much for that! a life saver!!
Thank you for this review! Someone else reviewed these and said you cant turn the lights off and the battery life wasnt great. Appreciate your reviews!
I bought this for my daughter, which she wanted with the aurora collection, and a much cheaper headset, also from logitech, for my son (G635). I tested them both out. First of all, the G635 sound quality is so much better. Second, I'm still trying to get the mic for the G735 to work, which I am doing right now and why I'm watching this at all. I'm pretty disappointed and as a female gamer myself, feeling a little bit like this is a jab at women for not being able to know good quality sound, and that it's not just working right out of the box like the cheaper one, but maybe that's just me.
I completely agree with you. They market it hard for women while having it at a premium price tier and you get meh results from it. Which I think does come across as a slap in the face. As they could have made a fantastic product for an underrepresented demographic. But instead it feels like a cash grab which is frustrating. What issues are you having with the microphone? Perhaps I can help?
@@ThomasMuehler Oh thanks! I got it working on my computer. I seemingly just needed to reboot to get it to pick up. Tonight we'll see if my daughter can get it to work on her computer. She gave up on it and asked me to try on mine. Fingers crossed.
The best review I have seen to this headset. So detailed, amazing! So now I can explain the headset to my friend because she asked a lot about it before buying . :)
I'm seriously considering replacing my A50's with these (they're too heavy and starting to die) but the $230 pricepoint is hard to justify. The G735s were the most comfortable and aesthetic out of what I tried (I wish HyperX had more color options) but they aren't compatible with PS5/xbox, seems like a step down in sound quality, and the mic sounds horrible (I use another mic anyway but I'd expect it to sound better for this price). I'll probably wait for a deal.
Totally agree with all points. Aesthetic and comfort are great. Sound quality is in general disappointing, especially in comparison to the price point. And compared to the A50's (which I think are one of the best sounding wireless headsets I've tried) it is definitely a step down. Same with the microphone as again the A50 mic is better. But the A50 kind of got cut off at the knees with the optical port not existing on consoles for some time now. As the USB just doesn't provide the same level of audio quality. Also, don't understand how Logitech would charge $230 for a PC only headset and not include consoles. I guess you could technically use Bluetooth but latency may be an issue. Anyways, main point is it seems like this headset you take a lot of hits just to have excellent comfort and aesthetics. Which is a real shame. As it is soo attractive.
Your a50s are superior in every way. Don't downgrade. 🤦♂️ There are few headsets/mic that are better. You'd have to go with a stand alone mic and Sennheiser pair of cans to get better audio performance. The g735 we're just gifted to my lady yesterday. They sound great, but definitely not better than Astros.
I will get mine tomorrow and I really hope your EQ will help a lot as I play DBD a lot, and hearing is significant there. but I guess I'll be fine if only this headset will do better than razer barracuda, which I use now. thanks for review, it's really helpful
I would love to get your opinions once you try it out a bit. I was testing them out again the other day and continue to be on the fence about the sound. As at times it is super immersive and I like it a lot. And other times I just don’t like it. lol
@@ThomasMuehler I'm still testing it in game, seems like nothing special, but nothing disappointing as well for now. but the music is hella good and your EQ is the best I found for myself, big thanks! I tried out g pro x wireles the other day, had a white noise, so had to return it, sound was terrible from the box, but had a potential to be awesome if you play with EQ or find a nice one. forsome reason stock profiles in ghub sounded terrible for g pro x. and 735 is kinda ok from the box, EQ just makes it much better. and for some reason even stock profiles are not that bad for 735, both mic and sound. and my ears finally fit into the ear pads, my old razers were too small. so I'm happy with this headset at the moment and glad I decided to return g pro x. maybe there was a defect, but 735 is a win for me
Thank you for the detailed review! I recently ordered these headphones, then returned them, because of the crackles in the speakers. I couldn't find a solution on the Internet, but you suggested that the problem is in USB 3.0, so I think I'll order them again
@@disneyyy Nooo. Bummer. I truly am sorry to hear that. Interesting that you got two in a row that do that. I still think it is likely due to interference of some sort. Just not sure from what exactly. As these days a lot of things can cause that and it tends to be more location specific. But man that stinks.
I also have g733 and the only issue I faced was that the mic just randomly stopped working after like a year and half through use. I am thinking of replacing my headset now, but I am not sure if this Aurora one is worthy or not..
Just bought this on sale for $210 AUD. Early thoughts it is insanely comfortable and the sound is ok and suitable for my gaming. Issue I have is I can't get the mic to work on my pc. Did you have any such problem? Edit: I'm stupid af. I was plugging it into the audio jack instead of the microphone slot because I was in a rush at 1am at night.
What would you like to know? 1. You plug in the headset to your PC (wireless dongle). 2. Download/open Logitech G Hub. 3. Click the headset -> Sound -> then add custom EQ, make adjustments, then click save. All done. 4. I'd recommend trying my own EQ setting and if you don't like it going with your own. 5. Make sure you AREN'T using surround sound.
I don't know if I'd say "bad". I think for a wireless microphone it is above average. I also think it fits perfectly in the "good" category regardless for a headset mic. Perhaps even above average. But definitely not great. As even most wired mics these days still don't sound good. They have improved in the last year or so. But agree wireless mics are still not ready for prime time.
@@ThomasMuehler my hyper x cloud fly s have mouch better micro qualität i dont understand how in 2022 logitech dont can do a headset with good mic and sound how there can ever sell them FeelsBadMan
@@heypancaks Totally agree. It seems like in general Logitech has been gliding the last few years. Really since the Logitech G Pro Wireless came out. As nothing interesting has really come out from them outside of a refresh of some of their previous best hits. Even the Logitech G502x is dead on arrival.
This works great for me with the Switch. I can get game audio through the lightspeed adapter and use discord on my phone for voice chat. Worth the money to not have to deal with the ridiculous workarounds with splitters and and adapters and multiple cables.
I would love to see them compared to their other products, like the logitech pro x wireless ! Specs look very similar but for a noob like me it's hard to know which would be a better fit for me
Excellent idea. Funds are tight for me right now so I'm not sure if that will be done. However, I like that idea a lot and if I can do it I will. I will say in general from my testing of Logitech headsets and what I'm seeing on other reviews Logitech headsets tend to not be all that good. Are about C Grade across the board. SteelSeries tends to be well received. Personally, I think their Arctis Nova line is pretty good. Especially, the top of the line Arctis Nova Pro WIreless. I enjoyed the Corsair HS80 Wired a lot. It also comes in wireless but I haven't tried that variant. Razer appears to be hit or miss. Going with Sennheiser (which is now under a different name that I forget) are always excellent. HyperX also tends to be very good.
Just purchased on amazon, they haven't arrived yet so I can't say how I like them, however they were the only headset I found that was so versatile. I'll be using them primarily for narration and wanted something with the ability to connect to my Blue Yeti mic via 3.5mm jack, so the noticeably crappy mic won't be an issue. (I'm also not at all pleased that the 3.5mm aux cable wasn't included) I also like the ability to connect to more than one source and adjust the volume independently, AND that it matches my whole Pink/white workstation theme with really cool RGB effects... Honestly, if any other headset were able fulfill those needs for less, I'd buy them. If they exist, tho, I haven't found them. Since this is the ONLY headset I found with those features, looks like I'll deal with the hefty price tag.
Love that you know what you're looking for. I am bummed for you that it severely limits your options. The only other White peripherals I'm aware of are from Razer. Which depending on how much you like/dislike these may be the only other option for you that MAY work. But I'd love to hear your thoughts on them once you do get them in and try them out. Seeing as I'm still on the fence about this product. Having other peoples opinions is greatly beneficial for myself and others I speak to.
I bought mine for 127$, so I’m happy instead of having to get it for 200. I think it’s a steal to get these at 127, which should lowkey just be their original price point
I asked for these for Christmas or my birthday (don’t remember) as I was using a hand me down wired razor headset. I’ve had these for somewhere over a year. I find them to be comfortable and they don’t shake off my head, but I have a small head. They have, perhaps, a few barely visible marks but that’s really my fault. It’s otherwise still clean. Mind you, I’ve been storing them under my desk, on the floor. (I really should find a different solution…) Having little reference, I think the sound quality is fine and the mic quality is just alright. But I maybe use the mic like a couple times a week for discord or zoom. I connect them via bluetooth to my MacBook so I don’t typically use the Blue Voice features in GHub. I have never used the LightSpeed and bluetooth at the same time and have no reference for the audio mixing. The battery life lasts my use about two weeks but closer to one week with more use. They charge fast enough for me. The main game I play is Minecraft. If you’re not playing audio for a long enough time, they will shut off to conserve battery. This is nice when I forget to turn them off but could be annoying if you are only using the mic.
This headset is AWFUL. I don't understand it. I had such high hopes. But friends in discord tell me I sound like a robot half the time, and game audio (I mostly play FPSs) is ATROCIOUS. I'm sorry to be so negative but I can't understand how I could pay $250 for a headset and hate it so much that I go back to my 8-year old $40 Astro A10's. :( So sad about it
The microphone was definitely a big let down for me as well. I thought the sound was average with stock settings. But got a lot better with a custom EQ. But sometimes getting those EQs to be in the right spot takes a lot of time and effort. Did you happen to try the one that I mentioned in the video? Regardless, I totally get your frustration. Especially for the price. As you would expect both of those to be a non-issue.
I had the same problems with g pro x (not wireless) and then I decided to sell it. Both of them could be good headphones but for some reason they just work terribly on everything except Windows.
@@jgvtc559 Interesting. I'll have to try it out. But that's frustrating nonetheless seeing as most people are going to be using it on console/pc instead of their phones. Unless if you are saying to connect via 2.4 Ghz wireless and then also connect to the same PC via Bluetooth and use bluetooth for chat. But that seems complicated.
Great Review, I had this ones and sent it back, still waiting for something decent to come. But please try to review the Astro A30 Wireless they are very similar and could be a better option maybe?.
Yes, I think at that price it is a reasonable and would recommend them. Especially, if you don't like the sound try my EQ and see if that helps. If you pick it up, I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the headset and if it is worth it for that price.
What I really dont like about them is they are really sealed off with the pleather ear cup and close back design, it builds up moisture and heat in your ears quickly and can easily lead to infection over long term use.
I'm not sure that I agree about the infection standpoint. But understand your thought process and your criticism is valid. Personally, I prefer the sealed off, pleather, and close back design. But that does appear to be an unpopular opinion. Where most people are definitely in your camp! Greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your two cents!
HOW the heck do i keep these headsets connected to the G HUB? My keyboard and logitech mouse stay connected to GHUB, but these headphones do not. My drivers are updated, but these G735 headphones are not. I cant even change the color of them. How do I change the color and keep these connected to GHUB. I got the comfortable headphone covers, and it keeps my ears from sweating. And theyre washable.
Hey!! Loved this video it's very informative!! i just wanted to ask, i have the Razer Kraken Analog Gaming Headset. Would this Logitech be an upgrade in terms of audio etc or not? Thanks!!
I tried a Razer Kraken a long time ago. I'm not sure how they have improved on them or not. So, I'm not sure how they would compare. I find this headset to be a mixed bag. I'd read through the comment section. As there are quite a few people who have chimed in with their opinions. I would definitely only get it on sale. As full retail I don't think it is worth the price. I'm leaning that you would see an improvement with sound quality. Especially, with my preset. But I say that hesitantly. As each of our ears are different. And I'm not quite sure what Sound Signature you tend to enjoy. If the Kraken's are the same as they have always been then the bass is overwhelming. Where this will have less bass. But hopefully more treble and mids. If you do end up picking them up I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Supplemental Observation: After 1 day of use at work, I noticed that bluetooth quality to my iPhone is HORRIBLE: constant studder/pops. Still struggling getting the wireless via dongle to work in Teams. Suspect that's learning curve so reserving judgment on that. Overall I am very disappointed due to the HORRIBLE bluetooth to iPhone quality issue. My Airpod Max NEVER has such problem, nor do Gen 2 Airpods. Even the Corsair headset doesn't have this issue over bluetooth. For the price, I expected so much better.
I think you may have a defective unit. Also, keep in mind that AirPods are meant to work well on any Apple device so when you are comparing them to any other non-Apple device they should perform better. Whereas, if you try and use an Apple device on a non-Apple device you tend to get slightly less good results. But the issues you are having shouldn't be happening. As for the Wireless Dongle. Also, weird. Could be interference and using the extender dongle may help (as the USB ports and other parts in your PC give off a lot of interference. But I'd love to hear if it did somehow end up being "user error". But you seem to know what you're doing so I find that unlikely. Also, appreciate you getting back to me.
I know that this is a headset, and I am not a gamer… but I look for good, light, aesthetic headphones which don’t hurt me when I have my glasses on. Can I use this headset also as headphones? Or is that weird?
I think they are A. Light, B. Aesthetically, look great, and C. Won't hurt with glasses on (at least in my experience). I think "good" is subjective here. As I think they are way overpriced for what you get which makes it hard for me to recommend them. Especially, when you can get actual Bluetooth headphones (such as the Bose QC35, Sony WH1000XM4, Sony WH1000XM5, or from Sennheiser) for around the same price (when on sale not at retail pricing) which I think are better and fit what you're looking for in teh sense of "good, light, and won't hurt with glasses". As Aesthetics are subjective so can't comment too much on that. I think the XM5 look great but are too expensive (thanks Apple AirPods Max pricing). Also, yes you could use these as headphones. Sound quality again is subjective but the thing that makes me hesitant in recommending. It's not bad by any means but not $230 good. As it tends to be hit or miss for people. No, that is not weird to use them as headphones. I'd also argue that these (with their Bluetooth functionality and removable mic) are meant to also be used as portable Bluetooth headphones.
I got these and I absolutely love the feel of them BUT I'm having a horrible issue with the audio crackling out. It's only on my PC too, I use these regularly with my work laptop on calls and with music throughout the day without the extra adapter. But when it comes to my PC it's like it won't keep a solid connection and I haven't been able to find any reason for it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, disconnected & reconnected the bluetooth, and even with it physically plugged in with the cord it came with to my PC it still crackles. It's driving me up a wall and I can't seem to find any post about anyone else having this issue. If you have an pointers that would be wonderful.
I'm not sure exactly how you've got them setup. So, I apologize if I go over something you've already tried. It sounds like you've done a lot of the things correctly. But looks like you are using it through Bluetooth instead of the 2.4 GHz wireless. Just FYI, the USB cord is only for charging so it will still be relying on the wireless connection. Which is why it still crackles. If you plugged it in with a 3.5 mm cord (with the headset off) and still had crackling then it is a defect with the headset. But I think that is unlikely seeing as it works just fine at work. Making me thing this is an interference issue. USB 3.0 can cause interference. Making it if you have this headset connected via Bluetooth via a dongle or via the 2.4 GHz wireless dongle directly in a USB 3.0 port attached to your computer that can be spitting off a lot of interference causing the drops. This is mitigated by using the included charging cable/extender dongle to create as much distance from your PC as you can. Ideally away from anything else electronic within reason. I would also recommend using the 2.4 GHz dongle over Bluetooth. As it is going to have a better connection and should provide higher quality audio with less latency. If you have Bluetooth built into your PC's motherboard, depending on the quality of that motherboard, and the version of Bluetooth, it could also be putting off a lot of interference which isn't happening at work. The fix for this would be using the 2.4 GHz wireless or I guess you could technically buy a new Bluetooth Adapter (which I don't recommend). Last, you could always use the headset hardwired via a 3.5 mm aux cord. But if you were to do that make sure you get a 4 pole one as that will allow you to still use your microphone. But then depending on your PC you may still need a 3.5 splitter (if your PC has the microphone and normal sound port separated instead of a single port). If none of that works let me know.
I got this headset because I heard it was comfortable for people with glasses, which it is! The mic is AWFUL! I've used a Razor headset and the mic for years now and it sounds pretty well. This mic was just awful. Frankly, I'm disappointed with it. However, I'm just going to make the jump to a stand alone mic and keep the headset due to how comfortable it is for me. Also, this video was greatly appreciated! The detail and honest was on point. Thank you!
I REALLY wanted to like this headset. And it does have certain aspects that are solid. Comfort being one of them. I just think the cost is excessive for what you get. But I'm glad that you like it well enough. I think an external microphone is a great call regardless. As it will provide a lot better experience for those you are talking too. But definitely is a bit more cumbersome for you. Thanks for taking the time to share your opinion. I enjoyed reading it!
I currently have a steelseries Arctis Pro. I dont know if you’ve used it but do you think this one would be a better one to get? I’m just looking for an amazing sounding white headset to match my setup. So if you could give me a suggestion it would be much appreciated! Thank you for the video
No, I don't think it would be the better one to get. I think the Arctis Pro is the superior headset all around. And that's coming from someone who isn't a huge fan of the Arctis Pro. "Amazing" and "Sounding" are not two words I would use to summarize this headset. I'm not saying it is terrible but definitely not top-tier. I'm not aware of a whole lot of white headsets so if that is the main criteria I think you've probably found one of the best already with the Arctis Pro.
I have not tried the logitech G733, so I can’t really tell you how they compare. However, I have tried to G335 and G535, which are similar to those. I found the comfort to be excellent. Along with the build quality. The RGB is meh. Microphone quality was adequate/good. Sound quality was treble focused that lacked bass. I found them to be good competitive headphones as they have good directional quality, and I could pick up on several audio cues, such as reloads and footsteps. But in general came across as kind of flat and surgical sounding. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But definitely comes down to personal preference and not the typical consumer sound that people tend to enjoy. So that really comes down to what you were looking for personally. I found that the G735 (This headset) is also very comfortable. Definitely has better aesthetics. Microphone quality is not as good as you could clearly tell from the review. Again, your call if that is good enough. If you were using an external microphone, then that’s a non-issue. I do think that the sound on these is better for most people. As it just has more oomph. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that it is good for the price. I think if this headset was cheaper at around the $100-$150 mark then it would be excellent. But since they’re asking 229 I expect it to perform a lot better since it’s at the premium price category. You also gain Bluetooth and that whole audio balancing act. Which may or may not be something you’re looking for. Additionally I do believe that the G733 may work on consoles as the other two headsets that I mentioned do. Whereas this one does not. Personally, if money is not an issue, I find that I prefer the logitech G735 over the logitech G335 or G535. As I do think comfort is about a wash. Aesthetics are a definite win to the G735 along with sound. But the microphone quality is probably better on the other ones but may be a close wash as well. So it’s really hard to say. As none of these headsets are particularly great. I do like the corsair HS80 wired. I haven’t tried the wireless, but I’ve heard it’s really good as well. So that would probably be my recommendation over all of these. But if you’re dead set on these two, I would do the G735. Whatever you choose, I would love to hear your thoughts on them. Once you get them in and try them out. As that also helps me with recommendations.
I'm here because I bought the G733, it's good for the price. Volume is SUPER low, have to sometimes turn it up to 100 to watch some movies. Sound is decent, comfort is amazing. It's light, and build is solid. The buttons are cheap and sometimes i feel like i'm pressing onto some plastic toy that is imitating buttons. but it works, range is awesome, microphone (unpopular opinion) is really good with blue voice configuration.
Hi! Thanks for the recommendation, I have just purchased the aurora one. I love how it looks sound! I would say im happy i went with this decision. Thanks again!
Hey great video! did you notice any hiss/white noise? I just returned some Cloud 2 Wireless because of that and I don't want to make the same mistake twice
I'm going to try my best to remember to test this when I get home. But I think there is a good chance I'll forget. With that said, from memory I do not remember any white noise/hiss. If it was there, it was very mild where I didn't notice it. Also, that hiss/white noise can occur depending on custom EQ tuning if you have a certain frequency tweaked too high. That last sentence was more just an FYI.
@@ThomasMuehler I ended up buying the Corsair Pro X (wired) anyways haha so forget what I said. Do you have any reviews on these headsets? I saw a lot lf CS pros use them so I bought them
@@Mayerrr354 I have not tried the Logitech Pro X headset. As the reviews I've seen make it seem like it wouldn't be something I'd be interested in. As it doesn't seem to be leading class. I've always wanted to try it. But since I don't think it would be stellar and since this channel is not financially viable I am limited in what products I can choose so have yet to pull the trigger on this one. Whether my bias there is actually true or not is a completely different story. That's just my thought process behind it. But I would absolutely love to hear your thoughts on it!
I haven't tried the Arctic 3. So, I can't tell you for sure. I think that SteelSeries tends to be more treble/mid focused with light bass. So, this headset would likely give you better bass. With good treble. But unsure how the mids, imaging, or separation would compare. And this is all pure speculation.
I haven't tried the HyperX Cloud Mix. So, I can't tell you how that compares. However, I have tried the Hyper Cloud III (the newest one) and I absolutely love them. They are wired like the Mix but don't have the Bluetooth function. But are $100 so are cheaper. If you really want wireless than the G735 are fully wireless and have Bluetooth. I can't remember off the top of my head if you can do both of those at the same time though. I have a love/hate relationship with the G735 still. If you can find them on sale then I think they are worth it. If not then I think there are better alternatives. I tend to flop back and fourth with teh sound still. Where sometimes I think it is great and other times I don't. Which is a long way of me rambling and not giving you a ton of information. All I can say is if I had to buy a new gaming headset the HyperX Cloud III would be up there with one of my picks. The only reason why I wouldn't recommend them is if your primary use case is listening to music. But in that case none of these would be the best option for that.
I found these for $150 do you think it's a good buy at this price point? I want a versatile headset that offers a good mix of entertainment, gaming, and mobility. I haven't found anything that does all of these things as well this one.
I think at $150 it is fairly priced for what you get. And I do continue to go back and fourth on the sound quality. Where some days I think it is awesome. And other days I prefer something else. But at $150 I think it would be a good choice. If you buy it, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it and if you think it was worth that price tag or not. As in general, the feedback I'm getting back is at full price it isn't worth it. However, when discounted and when people have looked around and want this guy they have thoroughly enjoyed it.
@@ThomasMuehler I'm torn between this and the Razer Barracuda, I'm starting college in late October so I think I'm gonna pick them up in September, I will share my thoughts when I do
@Mo-bz4if I haven't tried the Razer Barracuda. So, I can't give any opinions on that one. So, either way if you remember or care to get back to me I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Update: I ended up getting the Nova 7X as I got a Xbox and I really benefit from simultaneous Bluetooth and 2.4. Insane quality and feel. Coming from a 6 year old Hyperx Cloud 2 the wireless and weight are a blessing, my best purchase in ages.
@@Mo-bz4if Appreciate you getting back to me! Agreed on your points. I haven't personally tried the Nova 7x but heard good things about their Nova line in general. I have to Nova Pro's and really enjoy them.
Totally, redid this comment. As I was thinking of a different headset. I think they would be a good choice assuming that you get a good price on it. As I find them to do well at both gaming and music. Especially, with my tuning.
Unfortunately, I haven't tried the G Pro X wireless so I can't comment on the differences. However from some of the other reviews that I've watched they've said that the G pro X wireless sound quality is better as it is more gaming focused. I have no idea what that actually means though. Also I don't know how close you could get with this headset to that with your own custom EQ. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
This was such a huge miss from Logitech. They could have made this headset one of their best if they would have changed the drivers to the g pro x ones and make this headset their cool competitive headset. I'm not saying that the g pro x headsets are ugly since I own a pair of them myself but I would have definitely swapped them for these, if only they would had used the same g pro x drivers.
That's unfortunate! Headset shopping can be highly frustrating. Always fun to get a new product. But not fun trying to find a product that is perfect for you. I'm not sure what you game on or price point. But my two favorite headsets that I've tried recently are the Corsair HS80 Wired (also comes wireless but didn't try that one so not sure how similar they are.) Great sound and the microphone quality is the best I've ever heard in a gaming headset. The second would be the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. Unbelievably expensive. But extremely nice. I'd also recommend checking out @gadgetrytech as he does a wonderful job at reviewing a bunch of different headsets and is far more knowledgeable than I.
Listening to you through the video i can tell that the stock mic is dogshit, at least you have the option to switch to "blue" setting. I am a G733 user looking for a replacement, mainly because of the wireless range of the headset. I move somewhat about 7 meters away from dongle with a wall in between, and they start disconnecting right away. Does this 735 have the same issue?
Sorry for the late reply. I had to actually remember to test it. Hmm... hard to answer. It varies quite a bit. I notice that if I leave my room and go into the living room (which is about 7 meters away) through a single wall that I don't really haven any issues except for occasional crackling. However, if I go to the kitchenet that is in the same room and it starts to go through more than one wall I get semi-regular crackling/degradation but can still hear things. But then I can go upstairs and essentially walk around everywhere and not have really any issues either except for occasional crackling. Some drops at the outer edges (which comes back quickly) once I stop moving. So, a part of me wants to say it is good while another part of me says it isn't. Leaving me square on the fence. Internally my gut reaction is to say that it isn't one of the best performers I've had. But after the test I just did it isn't nearly as bad as I thought. Which means it probably comes down to your own setup/interference.
@@ThomasMuehler ty for ur reply. I returned them to the store and they replaced them as doa and the new ones still have the same issue. So i guess i didnt have faulty headsets, they just suck.
@@theoal5718 I can’t fault you too much there. I’ve never been all that impressed with Logitech’s headsets. I’d probably rank them B or C Class in general. Where they are just about average in everything. While not completely crap they don’t do anything amazing either.
hey!! i’m thinking of getting this collection as a first timer for upgrading my gear in general! i normally play “comfy”, plot heavy, immersive games and was wondering if these headsets (or collection in general??) is worth it?? i don’t have a headset currently and i’m just using some $25 keyboard and a mouse that was gifted to me 😅 also i use a pc i really love how this looks!! and i’m not that heavy of a gamer and my multiplayer goes as far as apex and minecraft lol, so if you don’t think this collection is worth it what would you recommend instead?? (money isn’t an issue)
I would say that our gaming interests are very similar. As my preference is plot heavy, immersive games as well but tend to play a lot of competitive games due to friends and lack of options on the former. With that said I think that with my sound preset that this headset would do a good job at what you are looking for. As I thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough of Horizon Zero Dawn with them. However, I continue to think that this headset is overpriced for what you get and have a hard time recommending it. If you can get it on sale then it is an easier recommendation. As for the rest of the collection. 100% absolutely NOT worth it. The keyboard is average, and the mouse is terrible - again for the price. They are perfectly adequate. But personally, I don’t like to pay top tier pricing for adequate. But everything is going to be an upgrade over what you have already. So you’ll see an improvement. Also, aesthetic wise they are some of the most attractive peripherals I’ve ever seen. Going with what you will be happy with is the best option. If we are taking money out of the equation my recommendation would be: Mouse: Razer Viper V2 Pro or Razer Deathadder V3 Pro or Logitech G Pro X Superlight. Keyboard: Corsair K70 PRO (not Mk.2) w/ OPX switches. Either the full size or TKL (depending on your preference). Or if you enjoy a small keyboard and willing to wait Wooting 60HE. Headset: Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. All of those are going to be some of the best-in-class peripherals. More reasonable pricing: Mouse: Lamzu Atlantis (or any of their mice), Logitech G Pro Wireless (over superlight as it will be on sale more often and is essentially the same but more buttons, RGB, and heavier), Razer Viper Ultimate (often on sale for $60, performs than all other mice other than other Razer mice), Razer Deathadder V2 Pro (Same as the Razer Viper Ultimate an the last generation of the Viper V2 Pro/Deathadder V3 Pro), Razer Deathadder V3 Pro WIRED (if you like palm mice and don’t mind a cord), Steel Series Aerox 3 Wireless. Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB Pro still. Headset: Corsair HS80 Pro Wired. Probably the best overall sound in a headset that I have tried. While having an unbelievably good microphone. There is a wireless variant but I haven’t tried it. Rig 800 Pro is a good option as well that is wireless. But make sure if you have a console you buy the right version.
@@ThomasMuehler !!!!! thank you so much for such a detailed reply!! i’ll definitely look into everything you’ve suggested!! im sorta bummed this collection didn’t match the price if you know what i mean, especially since it was marketed towards females and wanting to be more inclusive. i feel a little left out still, the quality isn’t worth the price and they chose to focus more on looks :/ why not have both an aesthetically pleasing set WITH great quality all around that’ll match the price set such a shame that they finally have something made and marketed with us females in mind be so lacking, it’s a hard let down
@@goodystyle60 I completely get what you mean. It's a huge letdown and I'm definitely right there with you. As it almost comes off as, hey here is an untapped market that we can charge an arm and a leg for. But since they are women they won't care about quality and only care about aesthetics. A bit extreme of a viewpoint and I'm sure that's not their point. But as you say there are very few peripherals aimed and made for women. When one finally drops and it is disappointing it hits extra hard. I would have made sure they were bomb not only in aesthetics but performance as well to capture that market and satisfy that target demographic. But alas, maybe next time. I have had multiple women comment on this who have bought the headset and none of them have been upset at the quality. Especially, when they get them on sale. Also, a keyboard tends to be a keyboard. The keyboard itself would still be a good option. You are paying a premium for the look. But aren't really sacrificing a lot of performance. As for your use case I don't think 8,000 Hz polling is going to be significant (Corsair K70 Pro). Nor is the Analog switches on Wooting 60HE. But that comes down to your preferences. But bottom line I think the keyboard is probably the best peripheral they have in the collection and I'd definitely get it if you enjoy the TKL style. I think one of them is wireless as well which can be nice to have. But definitely skip the mouse. There are a lot better out there.
@@ThomasMuehler exactly!! i’m glad you get what i was trying to say also i ended up getting the steelseries arctic nova pros you recommended ☺️☺️ i tried the display and was blown away so i can’t even imagine how great it’ll be in game!! i also tried the logitech ones and they were more lightweight but not as comfy, and the sound was also pretty good but i wasn’t blown away lol my only complaint about the steelseries was it didn’t come in white but i can still customize some little pieces here and there, hopefully i’ll like them enough to keep them for a long while thank you again for the recommendations and replying back!!!!!! you really helped me out
@@goodystyle60 I'm excited for you! If you end up not liking them I would love to hear your opinions so I can better recommend to other people. Also, totally agree, if they came in white that would be epic. In general, I wish more peripherals came in different colors. Happy gaming!
Hello thank for doing a good review on this. At the duration 6:35 about the 3.0 receiver being interfere a lot from other connections and using the extender to avoid the problem. When you said mentioned about using the dongle extender. I don't understand what you mean by extra dongle, as in the other dongle that connects to the wire to recharge the headphones? If So, wouldnt that become wire and not wireless anymore? Because the only dongle I see is the retriever. Hope this make sense. Thank you
By 3.0 I mean USB 3.0. The extender dongle is the Female USB C to Female USB A adapter that is included in the box. Where the male USB-C charging cable plugs into the headset for charging, otherwise, it plugs into the extender dongle, while the other end plugs into your PC. Where the wireless USB male adapter (receiver) is also plugged into. If you aren't getting noises or having issues then you can just keep it plugged into the USB 3.0 port on your PC and skip the dongle altogether. But it is recommended to use one to get the best experience possible. Does that make sense? Did I answer your question?
@@ThomasMuehler ahh okay. If I'm understanding it correctly. I use the dongle to plug into the extender usbc and connect that to my usbc slot on my mobo to act it as a wireless. I hope I understood you LOL. Thank you for your reply
I apologize on the delay. I kept not being at home when I saw this comment. Yes, the RGB works with a wired connection. However, you still need to have the wireless dongle plugged into your system to get audio. As the USB only charges the headset. It DOES NOT make it a wired connection.
@@ThomasMuehlerthanks for the input, but I was referring to using them with AUX cable. And as I found out, the RGB would work, but only by showing random light sequences - not the ones user has created..
I know these are marketed as wireless but I wanted to get these for work. Work doesn't allow anything that's wireless incase you're with a client and (the off chance) something dies. Can this be used plugged in to USB? I was also looking at the Krakens but they are too big for my tiny head, I look like a child fighter pilot. Also, we're not allowed to upload any software to the company computers so messing with the EQ isn't an option.. It looks like you can cycle through some default RGB on the headset itself?
A child fighter pilot had me rolling. Absolutely hilarious. hahaha. The Krakens are HUGE. It can be plugged in via USB for charging. But DOES NOT come up as source for your computer to use so will not work via USB. The only way to use them work wired is through the 3.5 mm connection. I did try that, and I was able to get sound with the headset on or off. However, I don't have a 4 pole 3.5 mm aux cord (which is required for the microphone to work) so I wasn't able to test that and see if the microphone would work. For some moronic reason they do not include a 3.5 mm cord with the headset (despite the ludicrous cost for it). So, it would be an additional cost. Also, you can save the EQ and lighting via Logitech G Hub. Which then persists even without the software. The only way that I know how to change lighting is that if you double tap the power button it will turn on or off the RGB lighting. But I don't think there are any other buttons to customize it onboard. Unless if I explained something in the video. And obviously if the headset is powered off no RGB. I also noticed that there was a lot of what I call "cable talk" when the 3.5 mm was plugged in and the headset was ON. Meaning when I would bump the cable I could hear that in the left earcup where it is plugged in. This was reduced when the headset was OFF but still easily noticed. Making me think the sidetone where the microphone is may be picking up that movement and noise and boosting it. Which could be annoying for daily use. Volume wheel appeared to work when the headset was on along with the side tone. But when it is powered off the side tone didn't work. Which is nice as that means the headset won't die on you if you have it hardwired. When it is powered off I am unsure of the microphone works. As again I can't test that. Conclusion: I'm not sure if this would be a good option or not. I think it would be plenty comfortable for all day use. Also, with it not needing power when hardwired via 3.5 mm would work for your use case. However, I worry about A. If the 4 pole 3.5mm work would for the microphone. B. It is a closed back headset meaning when the headset isn't on it causes some noise reduction and often people will talk louder because they can't hear themselves making it so it may be annoying to your co-workers. This is mitigated by powering on the headset as the side tone then works and works extremely well. But I'd be worried about a possible issue if the headset were to die on a conversation if that would momentarily mess up settings on your PC. I don't think that would happen as the source itself isn't changing just the volume. C. Microphone quality while not terrible isn't great. May be better hardwired. And is probably to pair with a lot of other cheaper headsets. But has me slightly concerned.
@@ThomasMuehler I've had a wireless ManO'War set for a while now (since about 2017?) and they're nothing special but they get the job done. The plastic creaks here and there but I've never had a problem with them crapping out on me. I was jesting with the idea of getting the whole Aurora collection, but after review and price point, I don't see the justification to take the leap. Thank you for your review and your further input!
@@samanthajean808 Unfortunately, I think the Aurora collection is a dud. Which is a darn shame. As I had high hopes for it, especially since there aren't a lot of peripherals marketed/geared for females in mind. But they are egregiously overpriced for the quality that you get. Making it so I just can't in good conscious recommend them. But if you don't care as much for performance and more on looks then they do well. As they look fantastic. I'd recommend looking into the Corsair HS80 Wired. They are my "budget headset" of choice. They sound great, have probably the best microphone on a headset I've ever seen. Are relatively comfortable. Have RGB. Also, work via USB. Relatively low profile (compared to others). It may even come in white. I think the wireless version does but unsure about the wired variant.
Thank you for the great review! I was going to get this to use with my PS5, and also for discord. So glad I havent bought it yet. Can you recommend something as comfortable as this one? But better sound quality and compatible with PS5. Thanks!
I haven't tried a lot of gaming headsets so my recommendations are limited. Of the ones I've tried I haven't like too many of them. 1. Logitech G535 is very comfortable with good/solid sound (but nothing to write home about) microphone is solid as well. But again more middle of the road. 2. Astro A30. I haven't tried this one yet. I will be getting one but waiting for it to arrive. But I have high hopes for this one. As it looks like it will be very similar to this one but work on every console and hopefully be better with sound and microphone. Same price point. So, honestly that would be the one I would recommend at this time. But could be terrible. 3. Astro A40/A50 are always a solid bet. I have been using my A50's for a long time and still think they are one of the best headsets you can buy. However, in my review of them (and the pinned comment) I go over the issues with them. Mainly being that they use an optical cord to get the best sound which modern consoles don't have so that means you need to figure out a way around that. If you are playing on a TV and it is modern then it likely has a optical port that would work. But as you can probably tell from my comment already there is work to be done to get them to work correctly with questionable QA which makes it a miss for most people. 4. The Corsair HS80 Wired is the only headset that I've tried that I absolutely love. Comfort is probably the worst thing about it but I still find it to be very comfortable (but not as comfortable as any of the above. But the microphone is seriously incredible (the best I've ever used on a headset) and sound quality is also really good. However, it isn't fully supported on console. I know they work (sound wise) but not sure about microphone wise (but I thought that worked too but I would double check if you go down this road). They also have a wireless variant that got good praise but I haven't tried them. 5. Sennheiser Game One is also one that I've really enjoyed all around. But comfort again isn't the best. And it is wired. 6. Outside of that I start to get into more headphones (which is what I use to game most of the time) along with a separate microphone. 7. I've heard good things about the newest SteelSeries Nova series and the G Pro X.
Hi thank you for the recommendations! I thought about it, and checked all the reviews, I think I’m gonna go with Logitech G735 for my ps5 because its looks so good and comfortable! Do you think the sound quality will be better if I use your EQ settings?
@@diandramonami The G735 doesn't work on PS5. The volume is too low making it unplayable. Which is perhaps the thing I hate the most about it. As I really wish it would work as then I'd recommend it more often. As for your second question. I'd go with whatever the stock sound settings are with a game you know well then try my EQ settings and then see which one you prefer and go with the one that works the best for your ears.
i love how u said “if u like the video leave a like, if not, a dislike” idk what that made me feel bad u seem like such a nice guys 😭 i just got this headset for christmas today and i loveeee themmm!! thankyou for the lovely review! 🫶🫶
That's fair. I didn't find it to be all that uncomfortable. It isn't the most comfortable. I think it is more comfortable than a lot of headsets I've tried. But to say the most uncomfortable I'd disagree. I've definitely worn more uncomfortable. lol
@@ThomasMuehler I'm just frustrated because I spent all this money and it feels really small around the ears and I don't understand why there isn't more plush around the top especially since it's made out of metal. And I'm a fairly small girl so it confuses me a bit to hear people compliment it for its comfort
@@baniboo All totally fair points. The top padding is very limited so I 100% agree that they could have done more there. For me personally, the reasons why I said what I said were. 1. I find them to be very lightweight. Due to them being lightweight the pressure they put on the top of my head is minimal. 2. I find that the padding around the ears to be more than I’m used to (compared to most other headsets I’ve tried). It is also quite plushy. With the clamping force being light most of the pressure is pretty even around my ears to keep it in place. But since it is light it doesn’t feel like it is vice gripping my head. But a complain would be because the clamping force is so light that it doesn’t really utilize the plush all the much as it more just sits there without depressing. Which makes it not as comfortable as I would expect when I press it with my finger. 3. There is adequate movement of the joints to try and fit most peoples heads. With that said I do agree with you that these are not the most comfortable headset I’ve worn. They are middle tier. And I would expect them to be a lot more comfortable based on how they look, who built them (Logitech), and how much they cost. This is also one of the reasons why I’m so frustrated with this headset is I think they missed a lot of the critical points. Have you tried (as counterintuitive as this sounds) to either tight them a bit more (like push in the headband so more of the pressure is around your ears) or vice versa loosen the headband by expanding it to see if that loosens the pressure and see if that helps. As I’ve noticed that depending on the headset that sometimes a looser or tighter fit is more comfortable.
That is a great question. I don't know. My search was fruitless too. I think it's prior to 4.2. Which is yet another thing that is disappointing about this headset. It could have been SO GOOD but no.
I just got this headset and I like it, but sometimes the audio cuts off for a second (don't have much tech stuff in my room) and I'm still trying to find a proper eq preset. Could you maybe upload the preset in the app so we can download it? :)
For some reason some interference is likely going on creating the signal from your headset to your receiver to stop talking to each other for a second. I'd recommend trying to move the extender dongle closer to your headset and away from any USB 3.0 devices (if applicable). As for the EQ preset I have no idea how to do that. Also, not sure where I would upload it to be downloaded. So, I'm going to respectfully decline on that. You'll have to just do it manually. I think I have it listed in my description as well.
Honestly, my first reaction was no. But I haven't tried the Arctis Nova Pro. But it seems like reviewers love it. Granted all the reviews I have seen for this guy have also been positive. So, after some thought I really don't know.
Will these work with a wired connection on PS5? I love everything about the headset, but if they don't work at all with PS5 I will have to find something else Edit: Forgot to ask, can you still use them while they are charging?
Yes, you can use them wired on PS5. Through the controller. I don't remember if the USB to PS5 would work. I could try when I get home if I remember. As for while charging. Yes.
It does have onboard memory for basic features. But for RGB sync you need to have G Hub open. Because some unknown reason. Not sure why so many gaming products won't save lighting to the onboard memory.
i have been looking a getting these for a while as they looked super nice and i was looking for a headset with a decent mic. they are on sale at target rn for 199$ + 25% off + the 10% and 5% i get as an employee so they would be about 128$. would you recommend them for that price? the mic seems like the most lackluster part from the review so i’m just not sure.
I'm going to be honest, I'm probably not going to do this. But didn't want to leave you on read. If that changes I'll reply to this comment and let you know.
i recently got this headset and ive noticed that they have a audio delay, more noticeable when im playing rhythm games, which for a supposedly lightspeed connected headset ahs me very confused. I was curious if u perhaps know how to fix this issue?
I personally am using the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless and I LOVE them. They are stellar all around and easily the best headset that I’ve ever tried even beating out the Astro A50’s. And that’s coming from someone who really doesn’t like SteelSeries or any of their products. Definitely won me over. Eventually, I’ll get to releasing my review of them. But they are S Tier. The SteelSeries Arctis Pro (I’m not sure if you are talking about the Wired here or the Wireless) I’ve never been a huge fan of. As I think they are B Class. (S, A, B, C, D, F highest to lowest ranking). Definitely think they are better than these. I’ve tried them twice now and wasn’t blown away by them and found them to be pretty average in general which is why I never released a review as I just didn’t think they were worth the time and effort. But people tend to also love them so maybe I’m missing something. You’ve got my thoughts on these from the review. I’d be curious on which ones you decide to go with and your thoughts on them once you’ve tried them out if you remember and care to get back to me.
A question to G735 owners, is there any hiss / white noise ?? I have tried two Logitech G Pro X Wireless headphones now, had to return them both as both headphones had constant white noise...
i was just chaning the settings on my Logitech G Pro X headset and i found out that i have a lott of white noise when i turn up the 'Sidetone'. Its a setting which lets you hear your suroundings/yourself through the mic
@@schoesteriris Interesting. Sometimes that can happen just from picking up ambient noise or interference. What happens when you turn off or mute the mic?
@@schoesteriris Unfortunately I hear it the minute I turn the headset on, sidetone is set at 0, and the usb isn't even in pc, so it's not a connectivity problem...
Sounds like you are using it on the PS5. It doesn't officially support console so either Logitech or Sony purposefully nerf the sound so it doesn't work correctly and you'll either have to connect via Bluetooth, or plug in 3.5 directly to the controller. Or get a different headset.
This is a bummer. I am glad I got to this video first but this just killed the G715 for me. The mic quality is MUST as a gamer. If someone was popping to me like this the entire time, I would be internally raging.
I missed this review and I just purchased mine thinking that will work fine on ps5 but I have that low sound issue. Is there a way to improve the sound so far or do I have to quit and just use it with my phone? :/
Unfortunately, there is no fix for low volume on the PS5. Unless if you plug it into the controller and use it wired. Or if the PS5 has Bluetooth (not something that I've ever tried) that would probably work as well, but haven't tried so again can't confirm. As Sony or Logitech due to licensing (my assumption not confirmed) purposefully doesn't work on PS5. I haven't tried Xbox as I don't own one.
When you turn the headset off does it allow Windows to automatically switch the output to your speakers? I have both the Corsair SE and XT and the SE has this function, but the XT does not. I constantly go from wearing the headphones to wanting to listen through speakers and having to click in the taskbar to change source is highly annoying. Thanks!
I've been meaning to test this. However, I tend to answer RUclips comments at work away from my computer to test. I've been meaning to do this but keep forgetting and see that is likely to continue. When I've used it it does not auto switch. As the device doesn't disappear from my Sound Devices making me believe that it would not do that. I'm confident that I'm not wrong. But not 100%. lol
@@ThomasMuehler I went ahead and purchased the headset and can confirm that it does not auto switch. I returned them which sucks considering they were really nice for all the reasons you mentioned. Thanks for the follow up though!
Is there a way to get these to work on a ps5? They were advertised that they worked, I can get voice to come through but is ridiculously quiet through a USB c to USB adapter but I just wanna just them properly :(
Advertised that they worked where? As I haven't seen that they are officially supported. Also, if I mentioned that they were in my review that was a mistake and I apologize. Technically, the PS5 will read that they are correctly connected. However, whether it be licensing issues with Sony or Logitech they make the volume too low to be viable. I am unaware of anything that makes them work correctly. Other than you could technically get an Aux cord and then plug that into the controller. I suppose you could also try bluetooth? Does the PS5 even have bluetooth?
Ranking (S, A, B, C, D, F). I'd say B-Tier. I think as a competitive headset they are better than most but not great. I go over that in the sound section of the review. But I can hear general direction well but not exact location. Footsteps also vary dramatically from game to game. I don't play CSGO or Valorant on a regular basis as they aren't my cup of tea (more Escape From Tarkov (EFT), Halo, Apex Legends). In EFT I can hear footsteps but not as good as other headsets but better than most. As mentioned my custom profile helped tremendously in competitive play/immersion. But still not sold on the sound of this headset in general. As I think it is overpriced for what you get.
@@ThomasMuehler Thanks first of all, I'm going to switch from HyperX Alpha, I'm playing high rank in Valorant, I was hesitant, I want to use them on both PC and iPhone, I hope they satisfy
@@razien4209 If you pick them up I'd really appreciate getting your opinions on sound for FPS. As that is super helpful not only to me but anyone else who has the same question. Also, my EQ that I used is the one listed in the video at 10:54.
I’ve been having issues getting mine to connect to g hub to use the lightsync I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. My husband even tried to figure it out and wasn’t able to so idk. He tried uninstalling and reinstalling and has tried some other things but nothing seems to work 😭
That sounds very frustrating! I know this is a silly question but you have the the USB Wireless adapter plugged in and paired with the headset correct? You aren't trying to do it through Bluetooth? As that would be the only thing I could think of. Also, you could try hardwiring it via USB
ive repeatedly tried getting the headset to come up on my g hub and it just wont. my birthday was yesterday and i got this headset as a gift, but the sound is just awful and i need to fix it somehow. do you have any idea why its not showing up and how to fix it?
I am so sorry that the headset isn't working for you as intended. Especially right after your b-day. Happy late birthday. I hope outside of this it was a good one. As for your question, my only things that I can think of for how to get it to show up in G-Hub is to 1. Make sure you are plugged in with the included USB-A to USB-C cable directly to the headset (over the wireless dongle). If that works make sure to update the headsets firmware if applicable. 2. If that doesn't work ensure the G-Hub software is up to date. 3. If it appears up to date Uninstall/Reinstall G-Hub. 4. If that doesn't work makes sure the drivers of the headset itself are up to date. (windowsreport.com/logitech-g-hub-not-detecting-headset/) 5. If that doesn't work I would reach out to Logitech Support. As I have no idea. As for sound. Depending on exactly what you mean by "awful" it could be; 1. That the headset's sound profile just doesn't sound good to you. I personally was not impressed with it as. But it was more meh than awful. Others in my comment section haven't been impressed either. I do recommend trying the preset that I mention in the video as it made a huge difference for me. For that check the pinned comment and/or description of this video to see if that helps (once you get G-Hub working). 2. Do you own EQ setting to see if that helps. 3. It could be defective. Especially, if you never get G-Hub to work. Unfortunately, I found this to be a miss (like the mass majority of Logitech headsets as of late). Which is extra frustrating seeing how heavily it is marketed towards women. I'd love to hear if you got it working and if you changed the preset if it was helpful or not. If not you won't hurt my feelings.
I just got these from amazon yesterday and I am struggling to connect it via Bluetooth to my laptop. It connects to my phone just fine but everytime I try to pair it with my laptop, it shuts off. The only way I can get it to work is with the wireless receiver, which I cannot use most of the time because I don't have enough USB ports when using multiple peripherals at once. Any ideas?
I don't fully understand what you mean by "shuts off"? Mind explaining that a bit more in-depth for me? Specifically, like I'm a 4-year-old. I know for one of my laptops that it was moody AF with Bluetooth connections and often wouldn't stay connected and when it was connected it wouldn't play audio the right way. Likely a hardware failure as it was consistent across any bluetooth headset. It later completely gave up on life and now no longer boots. Not sure if that is the case with your laptop or not. Do you have another Bluetooth headphone you could test and see if that works just fine (from a friend or something)? As if this headset works just fine on your phone it seems like something on your PC (firmware, software, etc) is not working correctly.
@@ThomasMuehler What I meant was when the headset is in pairing mode and pairs with my laptop, a pop-up window will ask me if I want to set up this device (even though it is already paired with my laptop), and when I press 'ok', it says it's connected, but no audio will come out and the whole headset will just turn off in about 10 seconds. My laptop is fairly new, and works perfectly with all my other Bluetooth devices, so I'm not sure what is causing this issue with the G735's.
@@natalieansah-adu80 Hmm... I'm wondering if you've got a defective Bluetooth module in your headset. I'm talking with another person who is having a lot of issues with Bluetooth as well. But you say it works just fine on your phone? Do you have another bluetooth device you could test it on? Like another Laptop or TV?
If you want to use on ps5 but your own Bluetooth dongle then and only then it'll work on console but no microphone you will have to use mic in controller
I need some kind of advice because I bought these and I plugged in the dongle into my PS five and the sound is extremely low no matter if I adjust my settings in my PS five or max out the volume on my headset the sound is completely low and I can’t seem to get it to crank up. I have no idea what to do and I’m about to return this headset.
So, for some reason Logitech limits the volume of their headsets for PS5 unless if they are "officially supported', which these are not. Therefore, you get sound that is extremely low despite everything being read correctly. If I had to guess, Logitech/Astro didn't want to pay PS5 a fee to allow their headsets to work on PS5. And since PlayStation is kind of snobby they don't let headsets that don't pay that fee work. So we the consumer lose.
Great question. In everything there is always a noise floor. So, in a quiet room the decibels will be like 32 dB. Silent is actually 0 dB. So, you have a noise floor of 32 dB. Often in headsets, microphones, etc. it will be picking up some sort of noise or has noise from the internal components which usually is not audible at normal operating volumes. Kind of like when you have a conversation in a quiet room you don't hear the hum of air conditioning or something. But if you crank up the volume enough in the headset when things are quiet and even when they aren't you can hear a bit of a hum or crackle or hiss that is persistent. Another way of putting it. If the volume on the headset is 50% and you don't hear anything, then you crank it up to 100% you may hear a hiss. As you are then making the noise floor audible to your ears. It is present at 50% too, but since you can't hear it, it doesn't matter. Which happens more often with wireless devices because of reasons I won't go into. Does that make sense?
Only thing I am aware of is making sure the wireless dongle is plugged into the PC. If it is already plugged into the PC try removing it and then plugging it back in again. Otherwise, I'm not sure.
To be honest, I have no idea. I'm not a EQ type of person who highly specializes in that. I would try my preset and if you don't like it you could tweak it yourself to see if you can find something better.
I just got these today and I have mixed feelings so far. The sound is okay, but the bass seems too loud no matter what settings I use. The mic picks up all of my mouse and keyboard sounds even after messing with the signal cleanup settings. My gaming buddies aren't a huge fan as they can hear everything going on in the background. Has anyone found a fix for either of these issues?
Depending on your PC you may be able to download Nvidia Broadcast which would cut out all the background noise if your graphics card supports it. As for the bass, the only thing I can think of is going into a custom profile via G Hub and reducing the bass range down into an acceptable range for your ears. And even then, it may just mess up the sound further (or just not like it). As when you start to mess with EQ settings you can get into the woods pretty quickly if you don't know what you're doing. Small changes to the bass range in Hertz (Hz) tends to be your best bet (-1 - -3). Alternatively, you could boost the mid and high-end range.
@@ThomasMuehler After some messing with it some more I realized that turning off the "surround sound" feature eliminated the overpowering bass sound I was getting. As for the background noise, its still not great. I changed the gate a bit and that helped a lot but I think I'm going to try using Krisp to help some more. Unfortunately I don't have an Nvidia GPU. I think it would help if the mic was able to adjust towards my mouth more, and if it had an opening on only the mouth side instead of both sides. I don't really understand that design decision lol
@@bjsiau The two sided microphone is supposed to provide some "noise cancelling". As it takes what you are saying along with what is going on from the other side of the mic so it can cut down on background noise and focus more on your voice. Which sounds great in theory but doesn't always work well in reality. I'm almost wondering if your mic is actually slightly defective where it is boosting that sound instead of reducing it. I'm not sure if A. you could provide enough information on an RMA for that. As with it being a removable mic they may just send you a new microphone you could use. B. If they have it available to just buy a la cart. or C. if you are still in the window to exchange it at the store. As you're definitely doing all the right things and still having a lot of issues which shouldn't be the case.
@@ThomasMuehler Now this is interesting. I called Logitech to see if they could send a replacement mic and they said that this model does not have the background noise canceling technology built in like their other gaming models do so there's nothing I can do to fix the background noise. It's so bad that the mic picks up the sound coming out of the headset itself, causing a ton of echo for anyone I'm in a chat with. The only fix I have found is Krisp which is $12 a month. I will probably return these and get something cheaper and better just less pretty lol. I'm disappointed to say the least, given the ridiculous price point.
@@bjsiau 1. Interesting, I would have figured at this price point and with the microphone design that it would be a feature. How surprising! Also, what a load of BS. $230 and you don't include that?! It's robbery. 2. They still didn't offer you a replacement? Seeing as the microphone shouldn't be picking that stuff up regardless?! They were just like "oh well, sucks to be you?" What a crap and poor response. 3. I'm glad Krisp works, but I know I couldn't justify $12 a month for that. I'm sorry you'll have to replace them for something less pretty. That is a bummer. It leaves me at a loss at what the heck Logitech was thinking regarding this entire lineup. Especially, seeing as laissez faire their response has been to the whole thing while holding onto their premium price point.
u mentioned using usb 3.0 would interfere with the dongle, would u kno if the same goes for the logitech g pro x superlight mouse when using the dongle?
Yes, I believe that refers to ANY wireless peripheral. That it will have a stronger/better connection by providing a bit of distance. Will you actually notice a difference? I think it depends on the setup. Where if you have a lot of peripherals plugged in (like on my main gaming PC) yes. Also, a desktop will provide more interference than say a laptop. If you have a laptop and that is the only thing plugged in perhaps not. Also, certain tech handles said interference better than others. With Logitech and Razer being two of the best. So, that's a long answer to say that yes, you should likely provide a bit of distance by using the extender dongle on both your wireless headset and GPX superlight. As it won't hurt anything and will likely give you slightly better performance.
@@ThomasMuehler thank u for ur thourough reply, i highly appreciate ur proactivity. I fortunately only have g pro x superlight as the only wireless peripheral in my setup, must admit that i dont fully trust wireless gaming gear other than mice as i noticed that even the most miniscule of features typically create a noticeable amount of buffer which results in increased input latency, things like rgb, onboard memory and now also having to take interference into account, but i guess the same goes for wired gear
@@ThomasMuehler when u say distance do u mean distance between the mouse and its extended dongle shouldnt be placed to close or is it the mouse dongle and the headset dongle should have a fair bit of distance to function optimally?
@@monfrezo I'm with you. I fully trust wireless mice (as they have been proven to actually perform as good if not better than wired). But when it comes to audio hardwired is still superior sound wise. Some other wireless things are hit and miss. But I think hardwire in general is still superior. Just FYI before we get into it you may want to Google Search yourself as most of this information that I'm pulling is fuzzy and I haven't looked at it for quite some time. So, if you want more info or exact dimensions you'll need to research. As I don't remember a lot off the top of my head. But I know that USB 3.0 causes interference (I forget why). Especially, on the back of a desktop PC (as you have a double whammy here with multiple USB 3.0 along with the interference from the motherboard, etc. granted shielding has improved in recent years). Along with on USB Hubs. Therefore, it is recommended for the best performance to separate it maybe by a foot or two from the hub/back of PC. Which is why Logitech includes the USB -A to USB-micro (I don't think it is USB-C?) which then goes into the USB-Micro to USB-A extender dongle, which then plugs into your wireless dongle. They also recommend for optimal performance that the wireless dongle should be a foot or so away from the wireless mouse (again, I'm not 100% on exact dimensions as it's been a while) but that is close and you could verify deep diving Logitech's website as they will list that somewhere. I think it's actually in the user documentation that comes with the mouse. Being TOO CLOSE won't be an issue. The further you get the more likely you are to run into issues (just due to signal strength reducing and increasing possibility of interference). I just remember thinking that it is farther then I thought but also closer then I would think. If you have multiple wireless peripherals (which you said you didn't) I'm not sure how much it matters if they are close or further apart. As I haven't researched or looked into that. But I keep most of my wireless stuff close-ish to each other but away from hubs and never have any issues. In general this whole interference talk is mostly splitting hairs. As they are quite robust these days and interference is rarely an issue. If you are running into erroneous issues with your cursor/mouse that is when I'd start looking into possible interference issues. Or you can just play it safe and do what they recommend.
I bought these for my ps5; however, it shows the output and input connected, but the volume is super low and won’t turn up when I attempt. Is there something I’m doing wrong or should try differently?
Undecided if Logitech is A. limiting the sound so it doesn’t work on consoles, or B. Sony is a dick and if Logitech doesn’t pay to play then their headset won’t work correctly, C. Some type of firmware/software issue, or D. A bit of both A, B, and C. As I’ve found that any Logitech Wireless headset (that isn’t specifically made for that console) performs the same where it will read the device correctly in the settings however sound will be nearly imperceptible. So, think there is some Shanahan’s going on from one or both of the companies that leads to us as consumers losing. So, that was a long way of saying no, you aren’t doing anything wrong. Unfortunately, the G735 aren’t officially supported and therefore don’t work on PS5 (and I’m assuming Xbox but don’t have one so can’t try it). But work just fine on PC. Unless if you plug in via 3.5 Aux to the controller at which point it should work like any other headset.
hello I got them less than 2 weeks ago, and just have the time to try them with my ps5, and i get zero, none, nada of sound T_T , absolutely bummed I don't know what the heck is happening, and like you say, they show as input and output but they don't work, I hear nothing
@@pato424 Yep, as mentioned in the comment above. Something is artificially limiting them from working and on the product page it doesn't officially support PS5. I've had a lot of people report the same findings. Which is unfortunate.
No! That's terrible news. I'm sorry. I don't necessarily blame you. This really was a swing and a miss from them. Have you tried my audio preset? Or is the audio not the thing that you hate about them?
@@ms6653 That shouldn't be happening. I'd try moving the dongle to a different place. If that doesn't fix it and you're going to keep them I'd definitely reach out to Logitech and do an RMA (unless if you can just exchange it in store).
Does anyone know how to return the headset to the default lighting it comes with? After I downloaded the RGB program and fiddled with the lighting I ended up just liking the original light effect but now I don't know how to change it back 😅
In Logitech G Hub under the lighting you'd either pick "default" or I think it is the "Pastel" or "Paint" or something like that. I don't remember the exact name and am too lazy to download the software and check.
They may not be the most accurate sounding but man do they make it feel like you are there.as
Custom EQ Settings:
125 Hz = -2
250 Hz = 2
1000 Hz = 2
4000 Hz = 4
8000 Hz = 6
Loved the rundown, all great points. Thanks for taking the time to share! Totally agree with you, I think this headset would be great at $150.
As a casual gamer and full time work from home engineer, I love these headphones. Your EQ settings really made them sound better.
Thank you for letting me know about both aspects! Very much appreciated.
Oh, thank you for your comment! I'm in the pretty same scenario as you, so I believe this headset is gonna be worth it for me :D
I really appreciate how in depth your review is without it feeling like an essay :)
I appreciate the kudos. Thanks for taking the time to let me know.
That is amazing news. I'm glad you are enjoying them so much and the EQ profile helped. Thanks for taking the time to let me know!
Thank you for this review! Someone else reviewed these and said you cant turn the lights off and the battery life wasnt great. Appreciate your reviews!
Happy to try and help!

They sound great, but definitely not better than Astros.
bought this one for gaming and work. very lightweight. Love your reviews!

I have the 733 Logitech and Love it . Have had them since Oct 2020 . and NOT ONE problem with them to date two years later
That's great news! I'm glad those are still working great for you. I've heard good things about them.
I also have g733 and the only issue I faced was that the mic just randomly stopped working after like a year and half through use. I am thinking of replacing my headset now, but I am not sure if this Aurora one is worthy or not..
Great review, thanks for being so thorough.
Frist, totally agree on insane comfort and sound being ok. Second, I'm glad you got it figured out!
Just bought this headset, been waiting for them to go on sale and they finally are!!

@@ThomasMuehler yeah I ended up getting them for $180 not too bad
@@Turboj47 That's not terrible. And as long as you love/enjoy them it doesn't matter.
Any chance for more in depth instructions on how to change the settings for them to be good for gaming? thanks for the Review!
Bro the mic sounds bad thats sad that wireless headsets aren't ready with the mics..
For over $200 too I’m like damn..
@@thenicoleodeon Agreed. I think they overpriced them HARD. I think around $150 would have been a lot better.

The best and the most objective review on the internet, thanks man!
Appreciate the encouragement!
@@ThomasMuehler thanks for making the time yo reply :) i will make sure to take that into consideration when i buy my next headset !
Has your headset arrived yet? If so, how did you find it?
Update?
@@adrianyeager6463 I'm assuming you mean an update from Krista?
I bought mine for 127$, so I’m happy instead of having to get it for 200. I think it’s a steal to get these at 127, which should lowkey just be their original price point
I agree.
Great rundown! Appreciate you sharing your findings. I agree on all points.
@@ThomasMuehler are they using the Bluetooth though
That's clearly what it was designed for
@@ThomasMuehler and sounded 100x better in a side by side comparison the Bluetooth wins
It was the ending for me 🤣🤣🤣🤣 " Thats like another 2 bucks or something, you can't include that? ridiculous".
Great Review, I had this ones and sent it back, still waiting for something decent to come. But please try to review the Astro A30 Wireless they are very similar and could be a better option maybe?.
they’re on sale now for black friday
Thanks for letting everyone know!
this was such a great review!! Thank you!
These are currently on sale for 120 dollars... at that price point do you think these are recommended?
Yes, I think at that price it is a reasonable and would recommend them. Especially, if you don't like the sound try my EQ and see if that helps.
If you pick it up, I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the headset and if it is worth it for that price.
I got it for 130 repackaged at target I think it’s been pretty worth it
For that price I would say it would be worth it.
Super underrated channel!
I appreciate the encouraging words!
The bumps btw are not just bumps, its Braille for R and L
You are exactly right! Which I think is great.
SAME i even got the pair replaced and SAME issue still persists!
Did you Buy it? I am choosing at steelseries arctis pro or g735
Please help, I'm unsure between this one (the aurora headset) or the Logitech G733. Which one should I buy, what do you recommend between the two?

Would you say the sound is worse or better than the SteelSeries Arctis 3?
I haven't tried the Arctic 3. So, I can't tell you for sure.
I think that SteelSeries tends to be more treble/mid focused with light bass. So, this headset would likely give you better bass. With good treble. But unsure how the mids, imaging, or separation would compare. And this is all pure speculation.
I can't decide on headphones ( Logitech G735 or HyperX Cloud MIX ) what do you recommend better?

Totally, redid this comment. As I was thinking of a different headset. I think they would be a good choice assuming that you get a good price on it. As I find them to do well at both gaming and music. Especially, with my tuning.
What are the best headphones and which is better the logitech pro x 2 light speed or the g745?
I haven't tried the Logitech Pro X2. But that would probably be the one that I would go with. As I've heard good things.
How do you compare this to the G Pro X Wireless in terms of sound quality and mic quality?
Unfortunately, I haven't tried the G Pro X wireless so I can't comment on the differences. However from some of the other reviews that I've watched they've said that the G pro X wireless sound quality is better as it is more gaming focused. I have no idea what that actually means though. Also I don't know how close you could get with this headset to that with your own custom EQ. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Are there any talks of these being released in black anytime soon?
I haven't seen anything. But I also haven't been following anything about it either. So, I can't confirm or deny.
@@ThomasMuehler cheers
This was such a huge miss from Logitech. They could have made this headset one of their best if they would have changed the drivers to the g pro x ones and make this headset their cool competitive headset. I'm not saying that the g pro x headsets are ugly since I own a pair of them myself but I would have definitely swapped them for these, if only they would had used the same g pro x drivers.
I'm completely with you. I'm not sure what was going through their heads.
Sadly I’m back in the headset market as my turtle beach elite atlas aero just snapped while going onto my head…..😭
While not completely crap they don’t do anything amazing either.
hey!! i’m thinking of getting this collection as a first timer for upgrading my gear in general! i normally play “comfy”, plot heavy, immersive games and was wondering if these headsets (or collection in general??) is worth it?? i don’t have a headset currently and i’m just using some $25 keyboard and a mouse that was gifted to me 😅 also i use a pc
i really love how this looks!! and i’m not that heavy of a gamer and my multiplayer goes as far as apex and minecraft lol, so if you don’t think this collection is worth it what would you recommend instead??
If we are taking money out of the equation my recommendation would be:
Mouse: Razer Viper V2 Pro or Razer Deathadder V3 Pro or Logitech G Pro X Superlight.
More reasonable pricing:
Mouse: Lamzu Atlantis (or any of their mice), Logitech G Pro Wireless (over superlight as it will be on sale more often and is essentially the same but more buttons, RGB, and heavier), Razer Viper Ultimate (often on sale for $60, performs than all other mice other than other Razer mice), Razer Deathadder V2 Pro (Same as the Razer Viper Ultimate an the last generation of the Viper V2 Pro/Deathadder V3 Pro), Razer Deathadder V3 Pro WIRED (if you like palm mice and don’t mind a cord), Steel Series Aerox 3 Wireless.
@@ThomasMuehler !!!!! thank you so much for such a detailed reply!! i’ll definitely look into everything you’ve suggested!!
im sorta bummed this collection didn’t match the price if you know what i mean, especially since it was marketed towards females and wanting to be more inclusive. i feel a little left out still, the quality isn’t worth the price and they chose to focus more on looks :/ why not have both an aesthetically pleasing set WITH great quality all around that’ll match the price set
such a shame that they finally have something made and marketed with us females in mind be so lacking, it’s a hard let down
@@goodystyle60 I completely get what you mean.

@@ph0sh1zzle close. PC -> USB A port on the included cable -> usb c side of Extender dongle -> wireless transmitter.
I would really like to know, if RGB still work with wired connection, or they just turn off? Haven't seen ANYONE testing this..
Aw, that is very sweet of you. I’m glad you are enjoying them! Merry Christmas!
I'm convinced that people are talking this thing up because I have never worn a more uncomfortable headset
Do you know what the bluetooth protocol version is? I can find no official info and need at least 5.0 otherwise for viewing tv it's too laggy.
You think this headset can compete with steelseries arctis nova pro wireless?
Honestly, my first reaction was no. But I haven't tried the Arctis Nova Pro. But it seems like reviewers love it. Granted all the reviews I have seen for this guy have also been positive. So, after some thought I really don't know.
What are the issues with ps5? I’m thinking of picking this up or the corsair xt
I go over it in the review...
Volume is too low on the PS5. Not officially supported.
Will these work with a wired connection on PS5? I love everything about the headset, but if they don't work at all with PS5 I will have to find something else
Edit: Forgot to ask, can you still use them while they are charging?
Yes, you can use them wired on PS5. Through the controller. I don't remember if the USB to PS5 would work. I could try when I get home if I remember.
As for while charging. Yes.
@@ThomasMuehler thank you, appreciate it! 😌
i hear g733 has no memory is it the same with the g735?
It does have onboard memory for basic features. But for RGB sync you need to have G Hub open. Because some unknown reason. Not sure why so many gaming products won't save lighting to the onboard memory.
i have been looking a getting these for a while as they looked super nice and i was looking for a headset with a decent mic. they are on sale at target rn for 199$ + 25% off + the 10% and 5% i get as an employee so they would be about 128$. would you recommend them for that price? the mic seems like the most lackluster part from the review so i’m just not sure.
I think for 128 it is a good deal.

i am not sure if i should buy these headphones
It is a tough call. I think it completely depends on the cost.
Can you please make a video of explaining GHUB and light setup. Mine has not been working , it just keeps cycling blue and pink. Thanks
Interesting. How far away is your dongle from your headset? And is anything obstructing it?
I’m stuck between getting the steelseries arctis pro’s or the Logitech g735 I’m on ps5 which would you recommend?
Is that a 6 or 5 for the 8000 HZ EQ? Thanks
It is a 6.
A question to G735 owners, is there any hiss / white noise ?? I have tried two Logitech G Pro X Wireless headphones now, had to return them both as both headphones had constant white noise...
Not that I have noticed on my unit. But am interested to see what other people find.
i was just chaning the settings on my Logitech G Pro X headset and i found out that i have a lott of white noise when i turn up the 'Sidetone'. Its a setting which lets you hear your suroundings/yourself through the mic

Great video
Why is the volume on my headsets really low like it’s at its max and it can’t go up
Sounds like you are using it on the PS5.
Yeah I'm not quite sure what they were thinking with this guy. It had so much potential and they just dropped the ball.
Well made video
Thank you!

Fir this price tag, I'd rather fet a mic on boom arm, then another headphone with 7.1 and better sound quality.
I agree. I think that would be a better use of money.
Does it works for listenting to music in your phone?
Yes, you can connect it via Bluetooth to your phone and listen to music. Even while gaming on your PC/Console.
How does the ground give direction and footsteps (Cs:go, Valorant) for games like ?

That sounds very frustrating! I know this is a silly question but you have the the USB Wireless adapter plugged in and paired with the headset correct? You aren't trying to do it through Bluetooth? As that would be the only thing I could think of. Also, you could try hardwiring it via USB
Only deal breaker for me is the leather cups. Can't do it, I get all sweaty.
That’s fair. But it seems like more and more headsets. These days are going towards those leather cups.
ive repeatedly tried getting the headset to come up on my g hub and it just wont. my birthday was yesterday and i got this headset as a gift, but the sound is just awful and i need to fix it somehow. do you have any idea why its not showing up and how to fix it?
I am so sorry that the headset isn't working for you as intended. Especially right after your b-day. Happy late birthday. I hope outside of this it was a good one. As for your question, my only things that I can think of for how to get it to show up in G-Hub is to
(windowsreport.com/logitech-g-hub-not-detecting-headset/)
5. If that doesn't work I would reach out to Logitech Support. As I have no idea.
As for sound. Depending on exactly what you mean by "awful" it could be;
Appreciate this! Very helpful!
I mention in other comments that these don't support PS5. Which is why you're having problems.
6:55 what does it mean cause the noise floor to become audible ?
@@ThomasMuehler makes full sense. Thanks for taking the time to explain it that thoroughly! Great review! Cheers!!
Happy to do it. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask. @@SataPataKiouta
i cant fihd the headset on the logitech g hub can u help pls?
Only thing I am aware of is making sure the wireless dongle is plugged into the PC. If it is already plugged into the PC try removing it and then plugging it back in again. Otherwise, I'm not sure.
How to set EQ suitable for Vietnamese students with the best, optimal and most advanced sound quality.
To be honest, I have no idea. I'm not a EQ type of person who highly specializes in that. I would try my preset and if you don't like it you could tweak it yourself to see if you can find something better.
@@ThomasMuehler This headset, is it noise canceling or not?
@@SONGCANCO1TAMLONG No, it does not have noise cancelling.
B. If they have it available to just buy a la cart. or
C. if you are still in the window to exchange it at the store.
Bought them and I regret it. Here I'm fucking hating them
No! That's terrible news. I'm sorry. I don't necessarily blame you. This really was a swing and a miss from them. Have you tried my audio preset? Or is the audio not the thing that you hate about them?
@@ThomasMuehlerI haven't, I'll try. I'm not blaming you or anything. But they usually disconnect during a dota match
