Ive been casually following Jimmy since the Old Haggard days wayy back when he daily drove that silver wrx on work equip 05;s but for the last year or two he has easily become my favorite automotive channel. I fully agree with eveything you said

Omg putting the E46 hood bubble on the E36 hood might actually look so clean covering the supercharger. I can't wait to supercharge my S50 swapped E30. Also I see you put on the old magnesium valve cover. What I did was swap out the S50 magnesium cover for the S52 plastic cover. It did require me to swap out to the S52 ignition coils, but I never had to deal with Magnesium corrosion and oil leakage.
Since the e36 is a touring and you allready have a Chaser i feel like the ultimate name for the touring would be Tourer 36 or take inspiration fron Boosted bois wagoo and call it the german word for station wagon which is Kombi. Great video BTW, i love seeing some more european cars that are more common here in Sweden, and maybe get som inspiration for som future cars :)

I am local to Toronto motorsports Park and I’m pretty sure that you’re gonna have to bring your muffler set up with you. I think it’s mandatory there to run a muffler I know it is on the circuit.

Jim, im oretty sure hydraulic lifters are meant to spring back out when you compress them, and defo shouldnt make a rattle when you shake them. there is a spring inside them that keeps them pre-loaded. Some of those lifters you had looked and sounded collapsed, so i hope it doesnt have a top end tap when it starts😕 I rebuilt a set of 16 for my engine a few years back, as they are no longer available new. Was a bit fidddly but not a bad job.

I named my touring Tina because i said Tina Turner funny once and it sounded like Tina Touring. Thought it matched the vibe of the old gal car because she hits them notes and the 6 cylinder hits them notes, so it's been Tina ever since.
One of the first tools I bought from HF, back when they just opened stores(use to be a catalog). Was a cherry picker(engine crane), theirs was over $100 less(use to mean more, inflation) than other places. It was nice to not have to borrow one anymore. Still kinda pissed mine doesn't have a push/pull handle or that you can buy a folding one for just as cheap.
The NV valves have larger valve stems. This makes them quite a bit heavier. So even though it has a stronger valve spring, you shouldn't rev it higher.
In the future, utilize a shop vac while your granding cor cutting. Love the videos. Hopefully, my fc will sound as good as yours when im done with her.
In sweden many do this setup :) M50b28 turbo . Its m50b25 with a m52b28 (528/328) crank in it. 135 mm rods with forge pistons. Non vanos head is the best. On e85 with forge enginge you easly go 600-800whp with 800-1000 wnm :D And it hold if you service it for many many years ! /Nils
