I remember there was another video that was filtering Viva Forever individual vocals. Victoria's lower harmony was said to be Geri's, while the fans knew it all along that it was Victoria's. I'm glad that this video clarifies everything & knowing that Geri was actually singing (although literally her voice was drowned with layers of vocals & harmonies) the melody with Emma & Melanie B in the chorus blew my mind.
I don't know if you'd agree with me but Geri's main vocals + Mel B's low harmonies give the song a totally unique Spice character. Same happens with the Too Much outro or even Wannabe. Her voices are the most compatible.
YAAAAS! IM SO HAPPY, in the older videos the Victoria harmony was still mixed with Geri's lead in the chorus so I get why some people didn't hear her, but a lot of us did. Its sound beautiful the way you isolate it 😍
And let's talk about Victoria's ability to harmonize, it's a very difficult harmony to sing, the lead voice can drown you away from the notes the song needs you to sing. What I'm trying to say, she's capable to do it, and for doing so you need to have a great ear and I'm tired of people saying she's not talented. You wouldn't believe me how many singers don't have EAR to harmonize.

I was hoping just to confirm Victoria was on the chorus and got the pleasant surprise that Geri was singing as well. I had only assumed it was four part harmony (with Em doing the two highs), but 5?! WOW!
I only hear 3 different harmonics: (1) Emma and Geri sing the melody with Mel B singing the melody but an active lower (2) Emma singing the higher harmony (3) Victoria singing the lower harmony. (4) Mel C doing ad libs of course

Well, I guess layers and layers of vocals with harmony provided by the four Spice Girls was enough already to make the chorus strong in the song & it's only fitting for Melanie C's to adlib to make the chorus more dynamic. Imagine after the instrumental in the middle of the song, they're all gonna be singing the chorus three times before the outro by Melanie B. Without Melanie C's adlib part, it's definitely gonna be a boring repetitive melody & harmony.

I know it's not the question. But if you want to start looking for hidden vocals, and lead in your favorite songs use Audacity. I've been using it for YEARS now and it's very easy, free and good for starters
@@buffyfan84 it would be hard to get a clean sound of lets say Victoria's harmonies. But if you go to effects and go to the bottom and press Isolate vocals and you increase the ratio of isolation you can get clear Emma's lead vocals. Or if you want Geri's harmonies you go to effects at the bottom, press in extract vocals, and then on top of that Isolate. And it would be pretty solid I'd say. Hope it helps.
