OMG. A capitalist Singaporean can become a monk in Thailand. I am really happy for you, as you could benefit from your ordination with wisdom. Mindful meditation is really helpful. Practice makes perfect!

So inspiring. You could do it. I kept longing for it, through out. But my positive karma was not ripped enough for that in this life. May I be like you in my next life. I have truly realised by now. Yes, Samsara is suffering. Only nirvana could be the ultimate peace ✌️

For such a brief video, it was inspirational. The monk definitely was as well. Of all the forms of Buddhism, Thai Buddhism is truly a motivation. Be well and stay well.🙏

nice video. it would be great if the monks did NOT use disposable plastic bottles though. I was shocked to see that.

One thing that will assist an individual who desires to walk that path is to truly, ernastly, consistently look at the state of this world. And while one cannot escape it and its suffering, monkhood is more peaceful and orderly than the outside world. That would give me at least the incentive to persevere.🙏

I fast forwarded the video to catch the last bit where you said " my level of mindfulness and concentration has never been this good ".....
I like to add something further.....
The ultimate objective of achieving concentration and mindfulness is to bestow upon you the ability to see things what they really are and not what they appear to be......that in itself is WISDOM.
When you achieve the wisdom to see things what they really are, you give up wanting and clinging.
Unfortunately, the video doesn't display the essence of Buddha's Teaching.

Why is the monk not able to sit still on the chair? I mean the posture. He has to take some support.
Is it because of the long meditation, or eating less food, the back has become weak?
    I don't know

    • @seesharpminor7996

He might be doing that deliberately, so as not to get too comfortable, or he could be slightly nervous in front of the camera
