He's more of an agnostic. "Fairy man" hmm, what year is it? Ooooh, 2018... But what is 2018? Oh yeah, years after the death of "fairy man's" son... So the entire world uses A.D/B.C (regardless if they want to say B.P or some other feeble attempt to remove God) so who is the winner?
Since no one ever seems to know the origin of that Fix It Felix “bootleg” whenever it comes up in these streams, this was a homebrew by an English programmer. It was then translated into Russian, as well as several other languages.
Its gameplay is however based on a real promotional flash game that Disney put out. They're very close, but the flash game doesn't have the beginning cinematic thing.
My man hasn’t played Blood of Jurassic yet😰. Although tbf maybe even that isn’t as bad as Felix, and it’s only and some versions of it, most just have a badly drawn triceratops stepping on a guy
8:04 - I have returned with knowledge of the music in that bootleg game. From a collection of demo trackers included in TFM Music Maker (a SEGA Genesis tracker that utilizes the YM2203), that song in particular is 'Skelett I Garderoben' by Swedish music composer, Linde. It plays at a faster tempo because the Clock(Hz) is changed. Quite a handful of Russian bootlegs use those demo tracks - like 'Mario 3 - Around The World' for instance, only further emphasizing the lack of effort put into these bootlegs.
Yes, that is another demo track from TFM Music Maker, 'Overheated' by composer Warlord to be specific. It's actually quite a short song for what is expected. Again, it's sped up because of the Clock(Hz) change.
As far as I'm concerned, there is a playlist of _some_ of these demo songs. Not all of them sadly... Here is two playlists from other Bootlegs that Joel went over in his other streams: ruclips.net/p/PLRvVYSKH92aSh4vzufTvmAWKk8AREfQpD (Felix the Cat Russian Bootleg) ruclips.net/p/PLRvVYSKH92aR47FHQgc8LIqws7NKi6FCX (Mario 3 - Around The World). Other than that, if you would absolutely like to listen to these songs on your own, the only way to access the files is through the .zip file of TFM Music Maker, load up the demo module in the extracted program and just play it in the background.
I found the two songs on this site! zxart.ee/eng/authors/w/warlord/overheated/qid:79527/ zxart.ee/eng/authors/l/linde/skelett-i-garderoben/ The difference in tempo from these originals seems to be roughly 20%
The ROM hacks that weren't identified are as follows: _Final Fantasy_ is _Barver Battle Saga: Tai Kong Zhan Shi_ (yes, that's spelled right), which is an unlicensed Chinese game by Chuanpu. _Grand Theft Auto V_ is _Outlander,_ which was made by Mindscape. _Naruto_ is (appropriately enough) _3 Ninjas Kick Back,_ made by Malibu Interactive. The other _Naruto_ is _Mystical Fighter._ (I think I said this in a previous archived stream…?) _Transformers_ is _Mazin Saga Mutant Fighter_ (aka _Mazin Wars)._ Someone said this, but I thought I'd give the full title. Also, the people who made _Iron Man, The Adventures of the Gummi Bears, and TMNT - The Legend Returns_ is a company called "BMB."
Barver (now brave) Battle saga is in English from Super Fighter and Piko. It’s an average RPG with some nice graphics and music, pretty good for an unlicensed title. Also, is the Narnia sprite from somewhere else?
34:55 spykids being played in a rattling bus constantly stopping and starting as the DVD player tries to handle it, is funny as fuck, it reminds me of those times :D
1:31:05 TMNT alright mates, if you're wondering what the music was, here is the song name: John Silver-Swanson Joel recognized it because it was from the Felix the Cat bootleg
That feeling when Joel calls the Corneria theme "F-Zero music". First skipping the Starfox stickers in every Bob Ross 64 stream, now this; why you do me like this, Joel? :(
24:42 Gotta Protectors on 3DS had an official NES ROM released online to go along with it. Let's just say it could make a streaming situation get *thick* really fast.
Can we all just take a moment and appreciate how terrible the Bubsy 2 falling-death animation is? (15:12 for reference.) You hit the death line and you expect Bubsy to just, you know, keep falling. Maybe a funny cartoony scream sfx plays! No. First he stops in mid-air, obviously paying homage to a classic cartoon trope: the character walking several steps past a cliff and into the air, only to look down, probably look back up at the audience and gulp, and then start falling. Now you're thinking, “okay, he's gonna look down and up really quick and _then_ he'll fall!” Again, no. He spends _just a little too long_ looking down, then up. You're thinking, “alright this is getting a little drawn-out, but he's gonna fall now for sure!” Nope. He pulls out a tiny little umbrella, and now you know exactly how this is gonna happen. Surely, he will look at the umbrella, reassured, before the umbrella collapses and he falls. Not quite, but I swear to you, we're finally in the home stretch. The umbrella collapses...and he continues to float in the air, surprise bukkaked onto his stupid fucking face, for a couple more seconds before finally, _mercifully,_ falling to his death. You know why dying isn't nearly as drawn-out and irritating in other platformers? It knocks you out of the game for three or four seconds, tops. _NOT FOR TWENTY FUCKING SECONDS._ Your character does a quick animation, probably falls off the screen. _THEY DON'T DO AN ENTIRE FUCKING WILE E. Joel, google translate simply fucked up. Proper translation for Spiderman is Человек-паук. Make google translate say it. For turtles - Черепашки-ниндзя.
44:42 About Asian languages... PREFACE: The "gana" in "hiragana" is the same word as the "kana" in "katakana". There are exceptions (especially when writing foreign words in katakana) where multiple kana are combined to create modified sounds not otherwise used in the language. Kanji are logographs, i.e. each kanji is an entire word... but kanji can be considered to be "spelled" by the pieces that make them up, the same way their Chinese root characters are, and most practical words (especially non-verbs) are actually made from two kanji. - - - - - - - - - - It's true that many older games such as FF1 didn't have support for kanji, but YOU DO NOT EVER WANT TO LEARN WRITTEN JAPANESE WITHOUT KANJI. Very late response, but the connection between 本 and books is a later innovation, and AFAIK only Japanese uses it with that specific meaning (in Chinese it serves as a classifier for books, roughly equivalent to "copy" or "edition"-the main words for "book" are 書/书 and 冊/册, the latter mostly in Classical Chinese and Southern Min languages). The alternate meaning "root, stem; origin" is the original and is more clearly reflected in the older forms of the graph, which depict a tree with roots extending downward.
человек-паук (chelovek-pauk) was the result of me putting Spiderman and (using lower caps,) spider person on Google Translate. All caps gives СПАЙДЕР, yes. Odd language, this Russian thing
Actually, in the earliest ages of Kanji, it was representative of the nouns it represented in a form similar to hieroglyphics, but over time, it became more streamlined and simplified to what we have now.
Almost all of these are just translations of actually decent games that never got legit translated to Russian, so I can't blame the Russians for doing so. Why Joel thinks that's so funny... I'll never know. Play actual bootlegs Jorbel.
Oh my fuck, Danny Phantom was godlike. I miss that show. Butch himself misses that show. I seriously hope someone pulls a Samurai Jack on it. I know this isn't a relevant comment, I just needed to get that out there.
Jurassic Park Rampage Edition is definitely a real game, but it looks like that version was an unlicensed Russian translation. It sounds like the main menu almost loads since you can hear it in the background.
28:08 Apparently the Japanese “wwww” thing is because it’s supposed to be like “wa wa wa wa”, I think because of the は character being pronounced as “wa” instead of “ha” when it’s used as a particle (part of Japanese grammar/syntax). And yes, the Mexican “jajaja” thing is because of J in Spanish being pronounced the way H is in English
Worms is an unofficial Russian localization of a legitimate port. It's not very well known because it only came out in Europe in 1996, by which point nobody was paying much attention to the platform anymore. Ditto the SNES port.

1:15:00 what I would hear during fever dreams as a fucking child, oh my God
I think the wreck it ralph is a game on the app store that was made to promote the movie
Almost all of these are just translations of actually decent games that never got legit translated to Russian, so I can't blame the Russians for doing so. Why Joel thinks that's so funny... I'll never know. Play actual bootlegs Jorbel.
This comments old so I wonder if you're still a boring asshole 😪
18:33 Oh snap prototype Super Ghostbusters.
53:00 What is the English Rom Name?
That boot narnia- best attack evrr
that iron man bootleg was VERY to the lego pirates of the caribbean game from last stream??
Tetris is the official Sega version in Russian, Barver Battle Saga is an original/homebrew Chinese bootleg translated to Russian.
1:37:40
I seriously thought that was the Danny Phantom opening theme for a sec
Oh my fuck, Danny Phantom was godlike. I miss that show. Butch himself misses that show.
I seriously hope someone pulls a Samurai Jack on it. I know this isn't a relevant comment, I just needed to get that out there.
The Genesis doesn't have a select button.
Jurassic Park Rampage Edition is definitely a real game, but it looks like that version was an unlicensed Russian translation. It sounds like the main menu almost loads since you can hear it in the background.
''Disney made a genesis game?'' One of the best games in the console is world of illusion, made by Disney.
damn, that "suka blyat" scream was really good
I just noticed.... The gummi bear game is literally just Mario 4 and 3 on the genesis but with different stuff in it.-_-
Раптор = Raptor Not PANTOP
Rasmus Wedin pantop

7:18 Iron man is definitely a reskinned version of mario 3 bootleg

Nope-a meme.
BAM! He Yarcabovocouh.
Cat mNap.
OOOOOHHHH MYYYYY GOOOOOOD!
*GOD IS REAL.*
Joel..... Joel you fuckin making memes again
Fix It Felix Jr. wasn't a real game. It was based off of Donkey Kong. The game was made only for the Wreck-it Ralph movies.
Lmao this is really fucking funny please do more
anyone else notice that Joel kinda turns into a horse when he starts laughing?
Worms is an unofficial Russian localization of a legitimate port. It's not very well known because it only came out in Europe in 1996, by which point nobody was paying much attention to the platform anymore. Ditto the SNES port.
There's like one Russian developer that makes like all the modern Genesis bootlegs. They make original tiles as well as the title screen hacks.
anyone else think that the man spider outfit looks shockingly similar to the homemade suit that was in homecoming cdn1-www.comingsoon.net/assets/uploads/2017/03/spideyhomemade-1.jpg

Oof, the chapters got stuck in Narnia.

There is Logan Paul film material in the top right
Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition is definitely a real game. I don't know if the one played here is an official version or not. Probably not.
Wreck-It-Ralph is actually a modern movie so this bootleg is not that old

wow joel you mistook that star fox music twice by now, that russian iron man were made by the same company who does lego pirates of carribean that you streamed a few streams back, i think it was either snes bootleg/madness or maybe sega genesis madness
Watching Joel play tetris makes me unreasonably mad.
Ну что же вы, Димитрии?
