This is just my opinion. There's a saying "Birds born in a cage think flying is an illness". It basically means if you never step out of who you think you're supposed to be you'll never know who you really are.
If a bird never gets out of the cage, it will never know it was meant to fly.
As a neurodivergent person, these kinds of songs/concepts bring me a lot of comfort and happiness, some of which I never would have experienced if it wasn’t for you and your brilliant analyses. Thank you so much.
I probably sound like a complete moron but what exactly is a neurodivergent person ?
@@fullluvrinnie6793 No, it’s great that you’re asking! ‘Neurodivergent’ refers to someone who’s brain functions/processes things differently from the majority of society. Not worse, just different. Some examples include people with autism, adhd, dyslexia and Tourette’s. The opposite is ‘neurotypical’, but I personally don’t use it since I dislike how it makes it sound like everyone without a diagnosis functions the same way.
@@SpringoFlamingo thank you sm 💕💕for responding I Fr learn more on RUclips than in school
@@fullluvrinnie6793 Happy to help😊 and same, don’t know why school is even a thing anymore🤷
Here we go again with the locks being unlocked. So they do talk about Frankenstein's Monster in "Maniac," I totally forgot that part of the lyrics lol. I did mention Frankenstein's Monster in your last video about the "ODDINARY" album trailer.
The fact that we have to keep the manic in its shackles till the day we die. I don't think I'd ever have the courage to let it all out.
But one day, maybe ONE day, we can hope to get it out.
Just live for the hope of it all ❤
Everytime I get into theorizing about SKZ I check your videos, your theories are so good and help me make my own sense of the story/the meaning of the song so nicely! Thank you for linking so many dots and making so many cool theories always!
Carl Jung talks about a shadow self, and some unconscious stuff we repress. I think if I am not mistaken the personas we put on he describes can be like cosplaying the part society wants us to play. I have heard some people compare the unconscious to Alice in Wonderland, which reminds me of that character who says “We are All Mad Here.” Anyway I like this video and the original mv. Your videos, some of them help me understand some of them in new ways.
Persona, Shadow, Self. They know all of their persona, their shadow and now they live in balance between everything in them. I love how they express it
I feel like I.N and Felix are half ODDINARY because their eye colours are two different colors one signifing evil and one good
Thank you for your insight and explanation 😊you point out things that I missed 💕
I always love your breakdowns. Thank you for making a video about Maniac! It's a great song
The train and the upside-down world remind me of the movie Inception. They also have the broken mirror (which is a scene from the movie) in Class S
can you do Venom too! i love your theories!
Sorry I was mentioning Carl Jung and the shadow self, because maybe you talking about the unconscious and Stray Kids talking about cosplaying reminded me of that. Psychology that is
Hi Bookish Theories! I’ve been following you for a while and I love seeing your insight on things! Tysm for your dedication
Hello!! ❤️ thank you so much!! 🥰
i love this channel so much! thanks for making these videos for me (who really likes theories)
Thank you for this video, as always it really helps to explain what is going on in those comfusing mvs T-T
I’ll be answering your question for now.
The entire thing with two cities is because of the two moons combining from Levanter. The red moon represents fantasy from the I Am/Cle world and the white moon represents reality. When they combine, the cities are seen together simultaneous because that’s the combination of the moon’s worlds happening.
MIROH’s clothes are essentially “highlights.” They look like yellow highlighters. A symbol of individuality? Which means that MIROH and Maniac’s themes are one in the same but Maniac is a more mature way of thinking rather than MIROH. Think of it like a mountain with a high peak and you’re trying to climb it. In MIROH, they must run through the jungle because they are at the bottom of the hill. In Maniac, they are near the top of the mountain and see all of the mistakes they’ve done in the past.
It is indeed Back Door scenes. Although, the white scenes here in the mind and the doors may convey that this jumping power comes from in the mind. They’re most likely not jumping dimensions; they’re jumping time through memories in the brain.
For I.N.’s eyes could refer to the fact that he has clones that are jumping two dimensions. I Am Not I.N. ditched the bus to find his happiness, and there’s two I.N.’s. One is in NOEASY and one is with SKZ. The true Jeongin is in NOEASY, and the other Jeongin is in for the ride.
SKZ loves multiple meanings for the same thing. On a tweet that I made that went viral, I said “ I guess SKZ made that trailer because they’re trying to tell the story from the opposite side: the traditional people who want conventionality. They see people who are not normal as freaks or villains, the connotation we’re getting in the trailer!” Freeze and Cheese have similar functions in double meaning. If we aspire to see what they see as a double meaning (or multiple), then we can see more aspects of what SKZ aid trying to portray.
Back to the original memo, storyline. SKZ’s storyline is the struggle to find happiness through reality and fantasy and through peace and conflict. Maniac connects everything from the Live trilogy and the previous trilogies together to form: jump between reality and fantasy at will. SKZ find a ticket with “to new world” in Levanter and opens a door, which allows them to see their prospects in the world more clearly. Also in Maniac is the “trapped in the mind” mindset. When they go outside of their mind (getting untrapped), they see the world in a new light that allows them to flick their “maniac” switch off and on.
@@annanguyen4560 THANK YOU. This both: explains a lot and leaves me with more questions lol. But it is very helpful so thanks
@@blackcat6374 I’ve been down in the rabbit hole for three years. You’ll get yourself into it slowly. Lately, I’m trying to connect the I Am series to everything else. Maniac helps me with that a lot.
Ask me any questions you want. I’ll answer them for you :)
Yes it’s definitely connected! The double city was first introduced in Hellevator and now its back! I personally think they have the same significance with the difference that now they learned to travel back and forth between their two worlds! The way I see it, even if Stray Kids’s story is full of action it’s still very much introspective because it’s about them growing and learning in a difficult world where you can take many paths. To an extent the different roads you can take are symbolised by the split between dimensions, but after Levanter, the Highlight Reels said that after the moon reunited they awakened their true self so that’s who we are following since God’s Menu! Personally I think the odd eyes of Changbin and I.N mean that after the two moons got together, their two sides are now reunited and they are ‘whole’, so they are free to embrace their full potential 🤔
Also, the one information about I.N that was confirmed by Chan is that he is some sort of Oracle in the story, so he has the ability to see the parallel worlds! He said it a while back during Chan’s room! :D
@@bookishtheories Thank you for answering
Rewatching these vids trynna guess next comback concept
Yees our waiting is over.....🥳🥳💚
Not gonna lie I been waiting for this video to come anyways stream manaic
Your videos are just fantastic I love how you stitch it all together ❤
Do you think the mirror cities are a reference to Spiderman No Way Home? All the funny dimensions and- What did Doctor Strange call that funny world?
Thank you for these explanations!! I appreciate you 🥰
Many people compare the two parallel worlds in maniac with the two worlds from Hellevator. If they are related, how could they be connected?
For sure, I agree with those people too! :D The way I see it, I still think they hold the same significance in the sense that the upside down world is their inner world 🤔 Hellevator was kind of the prologue of the story, so it had the purpose to introduce the journey of growth ahead of them and their inner conflict or “division” if you will. In Levanter, when that part of the story concluded, there was no city in the field, but they danced on a mirror after Felix said ‘it’s all good now’. That implied that they understood their lesson and their inner conflict was healed, hence the two worlds reuniting once again. In Maniac the two worlds still exist, but now with a huge difference: now they can jump back and forth with no consequences! To me this means that now they know themselves and fully embraced all their potential. I think this change started with God’s Menu on, because in the Highlight Reels they say that when the moons reunited, the light brought back their true selves! I think what we are seeing is that concept coming to life!! :D
woow u is good
19:46. Hey, I was wondering if you could take a look at Skz Code Ep 3 as it has something about I.n and the storyline at the very end. I was confused as to how this linked out to the story as well. Here's the link of the video and the time stamp for when it happens.

great explanation ✨
hello ily stay safe and drink water ❤
buh bye
Please explain iu's celebrity song I know it's old song but it is still very confusing to enterpret 🙂💜
You certainly made this make sense to me since I’m relatively new to stray kids and still getting to know them so this video made no sense to me, I felt like I was on an acid trip watching it lol I was so lost but you and others explaining gives me a better understanding and it makes more sense, I like this telling of a story through mv in kpop bts red velvet and stray kids so far that I know of have done it and when they do it from the very beginning it’s so interesting cause it’s like a mystery you have to figure out or puzzle pieces you have to put together til you see the full picture and realize what it is you put together, im so intrigued by it
Inner Maniac lol 💚
Please explain Suga and jungkook's stay alive song there is a hidden meaning behind but I am not able to enterpret 🙂💜💜
