😄 Ha! Sure hope you didn’t get “grounded” for it, even if you did it was totally worth it, eh? We had to “pick our battles” with our parents.
I’m sounding like an old fogey parent/grand parent here, using reverse psychology, because I am! 😆 😜

Great performance showcasing their “swampy” blues sound - Pauls fantastic vocal and harp playing skills. Did some digging and realized this is his “Better Days” band, and that Paul was trained as a classical flautist.
Tulsan Elvin Richard Bishop, “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” songwriter-slide guitarist got his start with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band way back at the beginning in 1965. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015. It’s sad that Paul Butterfield succumbed to addiction brought on by his health struggles with peritonitis, and died at age 44 in 1987.
Thankful we get to enjoy these gigs…forever…❤…

Wow, so lucky, that’s great to hear he’s still cookin’! Don’t believe I’ve seen him but there’s a certain time period way back when, around 18-19yrs young I’d go to many shows at the Cains Ballroom in Tulsa, OK like Little Feat, Jerry Jeff Walker etc…hazy days of youth 😉, and didn’t keep the ticket stubs.

I love that song “Don’t say no to me” on East-West - Elvin Bishop’s hung-dog vocal is so cool. Amazing band and PB is awesome on this live track as usual.
