😂😂😂. Bro what?? Terriost group??? Where do you think the Cartels get there GUNS from???? The reason why Mexico got so dangerous the last 24 years is because all the GUNS going south!!! It's the U.S fault. What do you think happens when you send guns to a 3rd world country!!! The U.S leads all the modern countries in Homicides it can't even control guns in its own country!!! The U.S should be labeled a Terriost group.
The country needs to be prosperous without drugs
Yeah, good luck unfortunately. In the meantime. Why do people continue going to search obviously high-risk places? Costa Rica camera places within Australia, places within the United States. I’ll have beautiful surfable areas without anywhere near the level of danger from humans.
What?? Terriost group??? Where do u think the GUNS come from??? The U.S should be labeled a Terriost group. Out of all the modern countries or develope countries the U.S leads them in Homicides they can't even control there people with GUNS. So a 3rd world country like Mexico does not have the infrastructure to control that many people with GUNS.

no vengas y ya
I've seen many vanlife videos of travels in Mexico, mainly about Baja - it looks idyllic in parts and they say some of the locals are friendly and welcoming. It seems to be so desirable for a lot of young people, like a rite of passage to visit Mexico. And some go back again and again. Personally I would not want to go to a country where so many of it's residents are desperate to leave. I'm Australian and my heart hurts for the families of these three young men.

People need to stop going to Mexico. The authorities don't care if you go missing. They can't control their population let alone provide a safe environment for tourists.
My son and his wife are going on a week company-sponsored family vacation in Mexico and I had to step in and refuse to allow my 5-year-old granddaughter to join them.
My son did some research and agreed to leave her home with me. I'm still trying to convince them not to go. My daughter-in-law is leaning in my favor now. I have 3 more months to sway them to cancel. It's not worth the risk.
Sincerely hope you are successful and your son comes to his senses. There are lots of wonderful places in the US to vacation.
Baja is a death vacation.
I prayyyy you can convince them.
He is like sweet no kids, lol
Where in Mexico???
One of the brothers was a doctor at a local hospital here on Victoria's south-west surf coast of Australia. To think that a person who works to help save lives, had their own life cut short by the scum of society... is beyond words.
I know their campsite location was less than a wise decision, but 2 days ago at Coffs Harbour, NSW, a 22yo surfer left the water and was stabbed to death in the beach carpark. Not something you would expect here. The world makes a little less sense with each new day...

What an absolutely tragedy. Young men with so much to live for. Jake was a doctor, on holidays visiting his older brother for a surfing trip. I can’t imagine losing both my sons. The poor families of these 3 young men. My heart goes out to them, it’s sickening.
There seems to be this pattern where these trusting ''free spirit '' types go to dangerous places thinking they will be fine,......until everything isn't fine anymore.
As soon as they mentioned the torched vehicle, it reminded me of the Aussies who drove into Sinaloa despite everyone warning them not to. It did not end well for those Aussies.
There's no pattern. It sounds like you are being critical of these 3 young men instead of being critical of murderers who killed them.

It's more a problem with women traveling alone. Three grown men should have been ok.

Gosh, when I think about the time( I was maybe 19) my girlfriend and a useless boyfriend of mine drove into the deepest part a a Mexican desert. I don’t remember where we were trying to reach, but,it was hundreds of miles into Mexico from the Tijuana border. It was pitch black and flat and we got stuck in the sand. No cars. No light. No getting the car out. Then, coming down the road, singing, and laughing, came a truck full of men. A LOT of men. So many, some were hanging on the outside of the truck. I was as nieve as possible, and, flagged the truck. It took a long time for the truck to stop…pretty far from our car….and, I began running towards them…soooo happy. Almost there and my girlfriend hollered at me to stop. I did, but, the truck was now backing up. We did not speak Spanish. I believe those gentlemen were calling us “stupid gringos”, but, they pulled our car out, laughed, and, left…I think we tried to offer the few dollars we had, and they just laughed and drove off…a miracle I will never forget. It was 50 years ago. That’s the world I want back…

Yes my friend told me his story of fleeing Mexico for California from the Cartel that put a hit on him.
Yup. Cartels have their operations in the high and low deserts in California.
@flyingjew2994 they are in all 50 states dude look it up
They are practically led and shuttled to our southern border. This 3 /12 year diaspora is carefully orchestrated & paid for.
Statistically, American cities such as Baltimore, Chicago, New Orleans, St. Louis, LA, and others are much safer than the worst areas of Latin and South America. Yet people avoid those cities and hardly no one would think to go to Chicago and backpack through town and sleep out on the beach. Yet think nothing of going to Bogota or Ciudad Juarez.
Trust me, the safest slum in LATAM would be considered the worst ghetto in the USA. Statistics are bonkers because LATAM doesn't even have a strong infrastructure to really give accurate data, even in the US murders don't get reported everytime, imagine in LATAM.
@@BhadVhibes I have no doubt about that. There are to be sure some very nasty places in the US. Have you ever heard of East Garfield Park, Chicago? But even in such places, the crime stats don't tell the whole story. The crime is still being perpetrated largely between other criminals. Disputes over territory, drugs, and the like, or "disrespect". But in the places you refer to, it is a free for all, where even a mayor who commits to clean up the violence will be gone tomorrow. Where even an ordinary family will be forced to pay tribute to the local gang. And violence that would make the most hardened gangs in America tremble in fear. There is a spirit of darkness over that land that lingers on from the days of the Aztecs, who were arguably the most merciless tribe of people who ever lived. They were civilized by the Spanish but evidently they did not go far enough.
@@WarofThoughts your comment has alot of ignorance. I've seen the worst the US has to offer and I grew up in LATAM, but like you and I agree, there's no comparison, trust me ghettos all around the world share things in common, a hood in the USA is still dangerous no matter where you come from, because..... its the hood. There's just different scales of danger between regions, your ignorance comes from mentioning the Aztecs and how the Spanish "civilized" them 🤣 you have no Idea how evil the Spanish were, but hey atleast they didin't eliminate 90% of the natives like the Europeans and Americans did in the North America. And also calling them the most merciless to ever live is an obvious exageration because there has been countless tribes throughout history, also remember colonization history was written by colonizers.
@@BhadVhibes Actually we have extensive art and inscriptions from the Aztecs themselves, detailing the scale of human sacrifice which they practiced as a ritual within their civic religion. We also know that they inflicted this brutality on neighboring tribes who relied on the Spanish to free them from the tyranny of Aztec rule when the Spanish arrived. Anyone studying this problem today can see obvious parallels when you see what gangs are doing down there. They are chopping people up limb from limb, they are removing brains, eyes, performing satanic rituals. These are not nice people. You might like them though. Also, the Indians were not killed, strictly speaking. Sure some were killed in war, but there was no program of extermination spearheaded by Europeans. What happened is the Europeans had smallpox, syphilis and other diseases endemic to the continent that didn't kill Europeans generally, certainly not those on a strong diet. But those same pathogens could easily kill the Indians who had no immunity to them. It was a simple screw-up and regrettable, but the Europeans are not culpable for that. They had no idea what caused disease at that time. They thought it was humors, vapors, and bad air (mal aria).

I am so sorry for your loss and no family deserves to go through that
My condolences to you! So sorry for your loss.
I'm so sorry for your loss , hearing about this must be extremely painful God bless
I remember your son in law from the news. Terrible tragedy. I can't imagine.
I hope you and your family can heal.
Oh my! I recall reading about this back when it happened! Blessings and prayers to you.
This is absolutely heartbreaking. You would think traveling in a group would be safe? Not anymore. May these men rest in peace.
It’s the location. Traveling in a group doesn’t mean anything. Mexico is not a safe place and people should know that.
3 to me is not a group. least not for these parts but yeah, i hear you
And it could depend if they carried arms for protection (which they might not have) as to whether you’d think 3 guys together ought to be safe.
Not unless you have guns unfortunately
this is so heartbreaking 💔 my deepest heartfelt condolences to both families
drove to to Cabo and back in 1997 surfing, camping, snorkeling. never felt unsafe (once we were beyond Encenada) and have always wanted to go back but......one bit of advice someone gave us before we went was to stay in the campgrounds that the locals ran and not by yourself on the beach. seemed like good advice so we took it.
These poor families! My heart goes out to them. This is what happens when Cartels run the country! So sad!
Yes, a very sad story. These men were in their prime, enjoying life and met death in a tragic way. I will remember them and their families in my prayers. I spent my summers as a kid and teenager with my maternal grandparents in Sonora, Mexico. Those were great times but now, Sonora, too is run by the cartel and is no longer a safe place to visit.
They run the mexican government
I lost a child in an accident and it ripped my heart out. I can't imagine what the parents of those young men are feeling right now. they are certainly heartbroken.
May God give you strength!
Im so sorry for your loss😢
@grit1679 hope you would say the same thing and keep that energy if it was your own family members that was murdered
@@grit1679 Do you not understand that cartel territory includes just about everywhere in the world?
@@grit1679The poster never said they were children. Besides, why are you victim blaming?
This is absolutely heartbreaking sending prayers to the family 🙏♥️
As Mexican, my recommendation is to don’t travel to México looking for adventure, you can visit touristic places that are well knew, but never ever remote places, it’s very unsafe 💔😢. I have 10 years without visit my country, my family, I’m so scared of what is happening there, I don’t want to risk my kids. Please plan very well your trip, and considerate the risks 😔
This is extremely sad. They look like good guys just trying to enjoy life. Condolences to the families.
The last 3 times I visited Mexico...we were robbed by policia all 3 times! Let that sink in fer a moment fellow Americans! I haven't been back to Mexico since. Basically, we had to bribe our way back to the American Border....I'm just grateful to still be breathing. R.I.P. to the 3 surfers. My deepest condolences.
You went back after the first and second times??
99.99% of Mexicans are incredibly kind, generous, honest, friendly welcoming, etc, etc. I've spent the last 3 winters down there from 7 weeks cycling the length of Baja, 3 months driving to and from the South in my van, and this year cycling from Mazatlan to Guatemala City. I didn't feel threatened ONCE in those 9-10 months. Baja is a magical, incredibly beautiful land that is visited safely by many thousands of N Americans every year. These guys got very unlucky
So sorry for the families horrific loss. Prayers for all.
My cousin just rented a house in Rosarito for 6 months. This is not good. The problem in Baja is that you can't carry a gun, so only the criminals have them.
Exactly. But these corrupt left leaning countries want you disarmed and silenced.
So the same as Cali as it pertains to guns. Smh
Same problem everywhere in the world
You think carrying a gun would keep your cousin safe in Mexico? LOL
Probably rented that house from a shady character. Good luck.

I live in Perth. After this I would not step foot in Mexico. It's left such a scary on everyone I'm sure. Massive condolences to their families and friends. Absolute loss and tragedy.
My deeply condolences for the mother who lost her two sons from this tragic incident in Mexico. 🙏😭🇲🇽
I visited San Diego a few weeks ago and was dismayed to find out the beaches have been closed for months due to unsafe bacteria level in the water. Apparently, Mexico has been dumping their human sewage and hospital waste into the Tijuana river.
Now hearing this story....
Im 42 and a SD Native. Sewage (imperial beach) has always been an issue….wayyy before I was even born. 😅 Imagine all the Bad investments people have made buying beach property @ IB.🌊😵💫🥴
Whaaaat😮😮😮😢
FOR YEARS!!!
It's been like that since the 80's. We sometimes would need to go to a northern beach during closures as a kid. There are also times you can smell it when you get near the coast in Imperial Beach.
Wow disgusting!
I had a friend from Los Angeles who decided to go get tattooed in Tijuana because it was cheaper and he’s been missing since this was in late 2019 .
Oh god!
lol
@@DaisyDay.-pm2cf I'm sorry but you're a damn fool if you go to Mexico for any kind of Healthcare because it's cheaper. It's more expensive here because we have standards. Our doctors have to go to school, and be board certified and they can be sued to high heaven if they mess up, even if you sign waivers. You're paying for their experience.
😲
Our drinks were DRUGGED in Mexico, almost died, NEVER BEEN BACK
This breaks my heart!❤ love to their families!
Oh No! This is so sad. I am sorry. Sypamthies and condolances to the families and friends.
What that mother is feeling right now. My heart goes out to all their loved ones. Bless them.
There's more than 1 mother . Be more open minded

Completely irresponsible for traveling to a dangerous area. I'm Mexican and this infuriates me because of how ignorant people are.
Are you mexican or American lol it's getting old
DON'T VISIT MEXICO EVER
🤣🤣🤣 you are funny
Agree......It's really just Los Angeles (extreme) South now anyway!
I've been to Mexico quite a few times without any issues. For me it's boring af
I wouldn’t visit the US ever! Too much racism, discrimination, gun violence, school shootings etc the list goes on!!
DON’T VISIT THE US!! EVER! SCHOOL SHOOTINGS, GUN VIOLENCE, VIOLENT POLICE FORCE, RACISM etc the lost goes on
there was a berkeley graduate mexican american who went solo thinking he was spanish speaking and can go forage and study plants . they found his truck also destroyed w him inside.

Wow... frightening

How very tragic for these three young men 🙏🙏🙏 , Sending Deepest Sympathy to their Families 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Mexico is not just tacos and margaritas, it is dangerous beyond your wildest imagination. RIP to 3 Young men who ignored the reality.
My friend who was born in Mexico and raised in Chicago said he would never ever want to go to Mexico because his uncle and nephew were robbed and killed on two separate occasions. Acapulco area. Nephew was getting married and he wanted to have the wedding in Mexico so he went to arrange everything. His uncle was found dead in the river.
Sad.
they got killed twice?
@@cesarusgeminis3561 ROFL
I’m sorry that happened to your family
Acapulco has been dangerous since 2000 and even then, Mexicans wouldn’t visit that place and told people to stay out because of the danger
Prayers to family/friends for ur loss.
At this rate they designate the cartels as a terrorist group. This is a sad story.
Why are folks still going to Mexico when the state department clearly says DONT GO
Nobody wants to listen to the government. But when they get in trouble they call the government for help.
you think the State Department is telling you the truth ? Mexico is way safer than the U.S
Last year, my daughter and boyfriend went to Costa Rica. I’d checked the U.S. State dept page. It was a # 2 rating of perceived dangers. I did ask them to consider not going, but knew they’d go anyway. Two Accountants who just wanted sand and sea instead of winter 🥶
They had great time, no problems, home safe. When they tell me they want to move there, I pray God keeps my knees from buckling.
Costa Rica is part of the Central America direct route north these millions of illegals are traveling through.
If it weren’t for the Lord, I’d go mad. Then he gently reminds me to cast upon him my fears she’ll die young. I do cast them, then my yoke is lighter. Always.
@@lucycan6363costa rica is ranked the 38th safest country to visit. America is ranked 129. You are much safer there than you are in Florida. Americans are pretty hypocritical and righteous when it comes to judging others. The majority of Latin Americans trying to get to America are doing so to escape violence , not engage in violence. That being said we just don’t have the room.
@@GraceEvans-us7uyfor now Costa Rica is fairly safe but that’ll change. Just as it has everywhere else.
That area along Highway 1 is so dangerous, I used to watch an RV channel many years ago where they had stopped them in daylight hours, pretending to be cops It was crazy the first 50 to 100 miles from the border into Mexico is literally the most dangerous part trip. The fact that they stayed there and camped at the beach at Ensenada thinking all is good, even though where the area is loaded with drug traffickers and killers, is beyond ridiculous.
Back in the days of Route 66, a black man put together a ‘green book’. It took Black travelers through 66, showing where to stay, where not to, etc. so that Black folks could make the whole journey safe (many died who didn’t have the green book)
I think it’s about time someone write a book like this about the SD/Tijuana/Baja CA areas. Like a local who knows area well, the known unsafe, safer places.
Oh dear 😢 Poor Momma. I’m so sorry for your loss ❤🇨🇦🙏🏻
