I legitimately quit wrestling for good once Undertaker lost at Wrestlemania. That one really hurt, and I will remember that for the rest of my life. I remember exactly what I was doing and where I was.
That's when I stopped watching as well. It's not the lack of violence, swearing, or partial nudity, it's the fact that you can accurately predict the winner of every match as soon as they're announced. It's gotten so bad that the fans started booing Ronda Rousey a full week before her "surprise" heal-turn. If that's not predictability, than I don't know what is. And that's why I stopped watching WWE & strted watching AEW.
Bruh, Sandow was nowhere near ready to be a world champion at that time specially. He was literally no one. He had a decent storyline till he feuded with cody. After that, nothing.
Jay Ben Yeah, he kind of is. I lost respect for him after the incident (Cheating is an awful thing to do) but having such a lack of spine that he defended the girl who ruined his life just because she could, made me lose any semblance of respect for him. He's practically a eunuch.
Same i watched one more afther and it was when punk was dressed up as hardy and that was just to much for me. I grew up watching that guy doing stuff nobody els dared to do put his body and life on the line with some of those swanton bombs and then they throw him out like he was nothing
Rod Stokes I stopped after 2009 when I thought it just got formulaic and dull. CM Punk’s pipebomb made me tune again until his 434 day run was ended by the Rock. Then it was NXT that got me interested again 😎
I thought I wasn’t the only one. As a 10 year old I was rooting for Cena all the way because I hated nexus. I went to the same Ppv that night. My first ever WWE PPV and I was happy that Cena won but after that it honestly drew me as a kid away from the product. Everything started to get repetitive and boring and with something new and fresh like Nexus it really wanted me to see them get their asses kicked eventually. However it was too damn soon
Jonathan, i didn't love him as part of the shield. I didn't love the shield. And those guys you mentioned were ravenously gobbled up by the fans, not shoved down anyone's throat. Give me an apples to apples argument or "y'all" is an idiot.
+Jonathan Waight It's not his in-ring ability. He's been VERY solid in the ring. The guy has the talent and potential. The issue is how he's written and how he's booked. WWE insist on making him a white meat baby face ala John Cena. It's not him. Everyone says "turn him heel" because that's HOW you start to get him over. EMBRACE the hatred the fans have and use it. Have him elevate the mid-card too. When he has a mid-card title. That's HIS belt. It's HIS life. Then MAYBE down the line, you can turn him face and get people behind him, but when you do. He's not a hero/face. He's a tweener. An anti-hero. Make him like Stone Cold was. MAYBE you'll have something then. Until they change his direction, he's gonna always turn people off. Look at his feud with Strowman. When he basically tried to MURDER the man, left him for dead, then Angle comes in, tries rescuing Strowman who walks off on his own two feet, bloody and battered. THAT is a double turn if I've ever seen one. Then he's matter of fact about it the next night, like he did a good thing. Yet they STILL push HIM as the face? Are you serious? It's like the writers don't know WTF they're doing.
Rex Kwon Do- I am totally with you on that, and I'm a hardcore wrestling fan. I don't question Roman's in-ring ability, but those promos were the FUCKING WORST I'VE EVER SEEN! He has NO excuse, with the time he was conditioned for the spot, his cousin is The Rock (one of if not the best promo makers of all time), and he was given EVERYTHING, including the win over Taker at WM, including the big belt, including the placement for face of the company.
Eddie Guerrero death in 2005 and Chris Benoit death in 2007. Those gave me a 4 year hiatus. Came back around 2011 when CM Punk delivered that pipebomb and held the title, while Daniel Bryan was making way with the fans. Punk quit and Bryan got badly buried and injured. WWE and the commentators lost interest on the fans' demands around 2013 so I haven't bothered to turn on Raw or Smackdown. Much less to pay for a PPV. Hopefully some day things will get better again.
@@gloriacanning336 aew is good if your one of the people that enjoy workrate and long matches. In terms of characters and pomp and ceremony, WWE is miles ahead.

Also, AEW has Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley which are wayy better characters than WWE currently has now.
YaBoiGabe This year’s Royal Rumble was a massive turning point. Nakamura and Asuka winning both their respective Royal Rumbles was fresh and meant all the causals got pissed when Cena, Reigns or a Bella Twin didn’t win. And I loved it.
Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade I think it’s smark but yeah no one cared for cena and the Bella twins, but Roman reigns on the other hand, him being the runner up was great as it brought that suspense
Bonelord Productions Because racism is cheap and there are far better ways to get over as a heel. It's just Vince likes to think that anyone foreign should just play a stereotypical foreign bad guy and use racism/hating America to get booed. There's no need for any of it when you can get booed in far less controversial ways. Controversy for the sake of controversy never works.
not to mention the fact that most accents are just great to make fun of. Denying that means you're wrong and you just don't get it, so don't ruin the fun for people who do get it! If it bothers someone then shouldn't they just learn to speak proper english...I'm german and it was so easy to get rid of my accent because I just looked at what I was pronouncing wrong and improved on that. The "L"/"R" thing with asian people would probably be less "offensive" if people knew how easy it actually is to learn the difference. I was interested in this paticular problem they have so I checked out why it's so hard for them...and well turns out knowing how words are spelled is pretty much the solution. Accents from non-english countries are not like branches of the english language like irish or australian but rather mutant saplings from two languages that result in malformed language-degenerates. I make fun of the german accent, because I know it's just a result of generations of half-assed english teaching in school and the refusal to learn the whole language after school.
I quit watching wrestling because of The Miz and Michael Cole. There's a difference between heel heat, and an audience that genuinely cannot stand you.
Unpopular opinion perhaps, I actually thought the Miz and Michael Cole alliance was great and I really enjoyed both Miz's and Cole's feuds with Jerry Lawler.
Same here. I just couldn't take the Miz being World champion, and I couldn't handle Cole's obnoxious dialogue. Even when I came back, Michael Cole routinely had me watching with the sound turned off.
I stopped in the 5th grade cause it made me feel kind of embarrassed and awkward, this was when Seth Green teamed up with Cena and Triple H. I remember just changing it to Cartoon Network and I didn't come back til I kept seeing Okada vs Omega spammed all over my Instagram and I decided to see that, after that I came back basically.
Woah, you watch NJPW? You liked Okada vs Omega? You're so cool bro. Not like all these marks watching the shitty WWE product exdee xDD. Good thing us real fans still like quality sports entertainment!!

Roy Diaz You shouldn't stop because you feel embarrassed. People give me shit for wrestling but it ain't gonna stop me liking it, watching it or uploading Wrestling content
Reigns "beating" the Undertaker made me stop for a while. Lesnar ok he can beat Taker, but no way Reigns would actually be a match for Taker in his prime.
But undertaker wasn't in his prime at the time. Imo he shouldn't have fought at all after the streak was broken but regardless his sendoff was still pretty great.
@@Bardineer well no. He didnt turn heel and all he did was put himself over against everyone else afterwards which noone wanted. They couldve at least given Bray the main event spot
Brock is completely undeserving of pretty much everything he's got since his return. He's not a night in night out guy, he can't wrestle all that well, and he has no mic skills. He hand no business beating Undertaker

Or even a new upcomer powerhouse like Roman. Even Roman would have made more sense to break the streak! He'd be on fire right now
Lesnar shouldn't have beat Taker because the impact of Reigns winning would have been so much bigger. Reigns should have been the first guy to beat Taker and turn heel the night after on raw. It would have been so much better booking.
Taker shouldn't have lost to Roman because there are 0 ways to get him over Shouldn't have lost to Lesnar because there's 0 things that could've done for him

It doesn’t prove the fact that racism is abhorrent and should be disavowed at all costs. All saying “It’s 2017” does is create an argumentative fallacy that because somehow it’s the current year we should know and do better. That’s false. We should know and do better than these racist actions because they’re abhorrent and terrible, not because it happens to be a certain year. attitude era is more or less what i grew up with and im only 20 years old so im just gonna say the PG era is just annoying and not entertaining enough for me but i do give them credit for keeping their employees, or superstars, out of severe injuries most of the time.
I watched WWF on and off from 1993 to 1996, religiously from 1997 to 2003, and permanently stopped watching following Royal Rumble 2004. Looking at what WWE has become in the last 15 years it looks like I made the right decision.

Marc Herrera The fact that people booed CM Punk in that feud still baffles me. Yea he was booked as the heel but even being an 11 year old kid I knew he was right with every word he said to Hardy. If Jeff would’ve listened to him instead of taking the promos as insults and sending pathetic drunk videos to punk he could’ve made an earlier return to wwe and become the number 2 guy behind Cena.
The thing about Mahal is he's a heel and has to get heat.......it worked, didn't it? I'm sure shinsuke gave it an okay, anyway. They're actors. Mahal was a solid heel. Just incredbily rushed.

Jbl was a grest champion. Rich douchebag who disowns his own home state. He was one of the greatest ever. It doesnt matter if it's overdone if it works at points. Jbl doing the nazi salute in germany was brilliant. That's dedication to character.

*FIIINNNAAALLLY* getting Sting, then having him lose to HHH at Wrestlemania (CLEAN), then job to Seth Rollins, which ended his career....When all anyone wanted to see was him vs. Undertaker. But no...that would've made too much sense -_- Stopped watching after that until end of last year.
Go back & watch it, doesn't matter that people came to the side of the ring and fought each other, they never put a hand on either HHH or Sting, and they never interrupted the match. It was 100% clean.
triple h literally used a sledgehammer at the end to win. he hit sting with it and won. also, he didn't job to rollins. midway through the match, his career was officially over after the buckle bomb. it's not seth's fault he got injured,.
Sammy - no, he kicked out of the Scorpion Death Drop clean, broke out of a 3 minute Scorpion Death Lock submission clean, Shawn Michaels kicked Sting (LEGAL), then TRIED to pin him, but Sting kicked out. Then he was given the sledgehammer back (again, Legal for the match), and Sting was given the bat... Sting hit HHH first with the bat, then broke HHH's sledgehammer with it. Then when going for a splash, HHH countered & hit him with the top half of the sledegehammer and pinned him. Again, this was ALL LEGAL = Clean. If you have a no DQ match, and the ref sees all of it happen, and they both have weapons, it's clean when you win using said weapons. That would be like complaining all people who won TLC matches aren't clean wins because they used tables, ladders and chairs...or winners of hardcore matches aren't clean because they used weapons like they're supposed to.
On the Mahal thing: People want the old wrestling back but are offended at a scripted joke from a STORYLINE VILLAIN that Shinsuke maybe even agreed with. double moral

Bad video and let me tell you why. If you're going to do a video about moments so bad people stopped watching then you need to cite a drop in viewership. Once the Katie Vick angle aired how many people didn't tune in the next week. Also the Linda McMahon in Trump's cabinet made no sense. You said those kind of moves can alienate people with a differing belief and push them away, which is your opinion, but you didn't cite that it actually did.
It's a global thing. Trump is divisive here in America. But the rest of the world doesn't have that problem. Faith in America dropped in almost every country on Earth, with the largest exception being Russia. (Yes, actual polls have drawn that conclusion) When your global brand is associated with that, it's not a good company look. I find it hard to believe people stopped watching. But there's no way it helps their appeal.
The RAW weekly ratings for the Katie Vick angle: 3.8, 3.7, 3.45 Besides this being a subjective video, it objectively caused people to stop watching. You're welcome
After going through years of bullying through school, watching the Authority constantly belittle and beat up Daniel Bryan was tough to watch. There was so much of it for a lengthy period, to the point where I very nearly turned off WWE. Luckily the Connor Crusher video surfaced after Wrestlemania and renewed my love for the superstars again.
Man, I saw all of these comments and expected this video to be loaded with propaganda and an anti-conservative narrative.... and it wasn’t. He compared Trump to a tangerine (He is orange), and made a joke about Americans voting for him. For a group of people who speak so much about “snowflakes” being “triggered”, you conservative peeps sure are sensitive.
Yeah. There's so many triggered conservatives, this comment of yours is just getting flooded with death threats and insults. How haven't you deleted the comment yet? The notification spam must be very annoying.
There are literally no comments from conservatives complaining about the video. As a conservative myself i couldnt give a shit what some dude on the internet thinks of the president and although i found his narration of this video biased and somewhat immature, none of it bothered me because i like every other conservative support free speech. So no, nice try but we conservatives do not get "Triggered" over people expressing their opinions be it for or against Trump because that is freedom of speech, something which we are quite fond of. What we do dislike however is fake news, lies, misinformation and slander, which are things people should be bothered by and by calling people "Triggered" for being bothered by these things is not only objectively incorrect but its also highly hypocritical. The word "Triggered" is defined as an irrational or erratic emotional response to a normally trivial or inconsequential event or situation that would not incur the same response from other sound of mind people. Basically it means an extreme emotional response to something not that big of a deal. Examples being, outrage over a joke, claiming sexual harassment because someone complimented your hat, etc. The problem being that mostly liberal, left leaning people are "triggered" by stupid things and conservates are upset by actual significant issues yet the leftists are calling us "triggered" and "Snowflakes" which is hilarious because they are the very reason those words exist in the first place.
I quit way back when they gave Hogan the Undisputed belt from HHH. I just watch all these videos for the nostalgia of pre timeline that when wrasslin was great.
I'm not calling anyone a liar although the Benoit incident happened in 2007 and here you are on a WWE youtube video twelve years later and you claim you haven't watched a single episode in twelve years? You're a liar just admit it.
Agree, of all the greats Undertaker went up against, they choose Brock to end the streak, it could have been Punk, Orton (adds to the legend killer list) HHH, Michaels, Flair, Kane, nope they choose the next big part timer, who I still to this day cannot figure out why they like so much, he cant wrestle, he cant do a promo. Just nothing to like about him.

@@promnightdumpsterbaby7430 thats not true. Zack Ryder never got a push, neither did Finn Balor or Rusev and these dudes were incredibly over at one point. People get pushed if they get on the good side of the few right people
Prom night Dumpster baby ....yeah cause the fans wanted Batista to win the Royal Rumble years after he left and not Reigns
Yes cause we fans wanted Reigns to win over Rusev the next year
The fans truly wanted Triple H to triumph over Sting
Cause the whole Yes movement was just a publicity stunt
Cause we fans REALLY wanted the red offense to the eyes Universal Title

Instead of Mahal's racism it should have been Mahal's entire title reign

I legitimately quit wrestling for good once Undertaker lost at Wrestlemania. That one really hurt, and I will remember that for the rest of my life. I remember exactly what I was doing and where I was.

You could easily do an hour long version of this with 100 entries
that is just for the 2017 edition right?

i stopped watching when they started the “PG” era
That's when I stopped watching as well. It's not the lack of violence, swearing, or partial nudity, it's the fact that you can accurately predict the winner of every match as soon as they're announced. It's gotten so bad that the fans started booing Ronda Rousey a full week before her "surprise" heal-turn. If that's not predictability, than I don't know what is. And that's why I stopped watching WWE & strted watching AEW.

THE NEXUS LOSING TO JOHN CENA AND THEN DISBANDING, MADE ME STOP WATCHING WRESTLING. But then Aj styles debuting in the rumble brought me back :)
Rod Stokes I stopped after 2009 when I thought it just got formulaic and dull. CM Punk’s pipebomb made me tune again until his 434 day run was ended by the Rock. Then it was NXT that got me interested again 😎
Rod Stokes dude shut up. U never stopped watching to begin with
So you missed the gigantic blooper of the authority....lucky you
I thought I wasn’t the only one.

I know a lot people hate Roman, but he is honestly the main reason I stopped watching on a regular basis.
Jonathan, i didn't love him as part of the shield. I didn't love the shield. And those guys you mentioned were ravenously gobbled up by the fans, not shoved down anyone's throat. Give me an apples to apples argument or "y'all" is an idiot.
+Jonathan Waight
It's not his in-ring ability.
Jonathan Waight dude it’s the pg era lol anyone over 12 watching this product still are fucking weird

Howdy. I think the time has come for you to return to watching. Check out AEW. All Elite Wrestling.

Wait, a *HEEL* says something racist and fans chant "that's too far"?? Wh.... why.... WHY ARE WRESTLING FANS SO TERRIBLE NOW??
Bonelord Productions because some people are too emotional and anything mildly controversial is too far
Remember the folks at One Night Stand 2006 and their chants? Yeah, we should be more like THOSE fans. You're totally right.
not to mention the fact that most accents are just great to make fun of.
Cause SJW's are little bitches that can't handle a "tewible wacist joke."
I quit watching wrestling because of The Miz and Michael Cole. There's a difference between heel heat, and an audience that genuinely cannot stand you.

Miz was a good heel but I see why u don’t like Michael Cole
Ruben T True. The fact that he hasn’t held the title again in 8 years at least proves that they know he’s not main event material. Never will be.

Marc Herrera The fact that people booed CM Punk in that feud still baffles me. Yea he was booked as the heel but even being an 11 year old kid I knew he was right with every word he said to Hardy. *FIIINNNAAALLLY* getting Sting, then having him lose to HHH at Wrestlemania (CLEAN), then job to Seth Rollins, which ended his career....When all anyone wanted to see was him vs. Undertaker. But no...that would've made too much sense -_-
Stopped watching after that until end of last year.
Corey D that loss to hhh was anything but clean
Go back & watch it, doesn't matter that people came to the side of the ring and fought each other, they never put a hand on either HHH or Sting, and they never interrupted the match. It was 100% clean.
triple h literally used a sledgehammer at the end to win. he hit sting with it and won. also, he didn't job to rollins. midway through the match, his career was officially over after the buckle bomb. it's not seth's fault he got injured,.
I'm sorry 10 years ago Undertaker vs Sting would have been awesome, but 2 years ago it would have just been a sad thing to watch

When the anonymous raw gm was revealed. Genuinely when I stopped watching wwe
Ryan Wilson do you know how pissed off I was, whatculture mentioned this in One if their vids but it does not get talked about enough, The anonymous gm was involved in SO MUCH SEGMENTS and then for it to be horsnswoggle smh
@@JCxWARZ1 I know I was expecting some huge reveal bro
I stopped watching as the attitude era was ending and the pg era was rising. Weird to think cena is still a big draw when I remember him just being this annoying Eminem type.
You're aware that the Ruthless Aggression Era succeeded the Attitude Era and preceded the PG Era, yes?

I paid 50 dollars for *18 seconds*
K'ron that what he said
It's 2021 and Roman is still being pushed down our throats. At least he's a heel now.
People stopped watching after Katie Vick. I, for one, know someone who did just that.
He's an outlier and not an anomaly.
The RAW weekly ratings for the Katie Vick angle: 3.8, 3.7, 3.45
Besides this being a subjective video, it objectively caused people to stop watching.
I’ll never forget I stopped watching for probably around a year or two when John Laurinaitis was the GM. Those years were just so shitty
CH 03 you sir deserve the most glory of the world.God bless your soul.

I quit way back when they gave Hogan the Undisputed belt from HHH. I just watch all these videos for the nostalgia of pre timeline that when wrasslin was great.
I'm surprised the Invasion wasn't mentioned.
I stopped watching after Benoit and I never watched another Episode.
Mann Holloway full of shit
You should check out the book Chris and Nancy chilling insight on the whole thing.
I'm not calling anyone a liar although the Benoit incident happened in 2007 and here you are on a WWE youtube video twelve years later and you claim you haven't watched a single episode in twelve years? You're a liar just admit it.
I watched intermittently but yeah, that was when shit changed
I think that you’re telling the truth
jokes on you, i still haven't came back.
i stopped watching because undertaker lost to brock lesner
Agree, of all the greats Undertaker went up against, they choose Brock to end the streak, it could have been Punk, Orton (adds to the legend killer list) HHH, Michaels, Flair, Kane, nope they choose the next big part timer, who I still to this day cannot figure out why they like so much, he cant wrestle, he cant do a promo. Just nothing to like about him.
@@ArcaneParadise I like Lesnar but I hate what happened
More like.. what WC video made you stop watching the channel
You want to know something funny?
Right after Daniel Bryan was eliminated, the next entrant, ie., Goldust's music hit, and on the Titan Tron were the words: 'Shattered Dreams'.
Mahal making fun of someone's face and speech??? Come on how soft are you
abhishek uniyal Cheap heat springs to mind.
wouldn't have been cheap heat if nakamura was american.. just because you are from minority doesn't mean noone can make fun of you
2:33 perpetuating is the word you were looking for not 'perpetrating' 🤦🏽♂️
The Battle of the Billionaires was an amazing storyline, and tons of fun. Also, I doubt Trump is gonna get Stunnered any time soon.
That’s too far, it’s 2017 dammit! *drinks soylent*
