    Dig and store gladiolus bulbs
Gladiolus are safe for some zones to leave in the ground as a perennial
If you live in a zone that is susceptible to cold weather like I do then digging your glads and storing them is super easy.
    1. Dig up the corms and shake off the dirt
    2. Place them in a dry spot to dry off the remaining dirt cut off stems leaving 2' on top of corm
    3. Put them on sawdust or newspaper until dry
    4. Corms can be put into a mesh sack or sawdust to overwinter
    5. Plant out in the spring

Should I experiment and leave them in the ground this year and take a chance? We got 4 feet of snow last Christmas 🎄 😳 and 17 inches of the stuff last March 20th.....

I’m digging about 1/2 of mine this year to hedge my bet and rolling the dice on the rest in the ground. That way I don’t have to store so many. This year I have hundreds of tiny new ones on the edges of the corms so I’ll take some of them also

Sorry to hear yours just get smaller. You’re probably right everyone has a different zone and climate that will effect your plants
