Dr. Agarwal, thank you so much for your informative video. It has shown me my errors and I now have confidence in growing glads this year with my young daughter to nurture her joy of plants. I found this video in a timely fashion; the weather is just warming in zone 5b Canada (late April), no more frost, so today I will add more sand and peat to our heavy clay soil and plant this week. I will enjoy browsing through your other videos and learning from your attention to detail. Additionally, I am a bird lover and have listened to all the background birds chirping in your video ;p they are so different to our cardinals and blue jays. Regards, and thanks once again.

I planted some corms similar to yours in size. I planted them and got 2-3 sprouts on each. When I dug them up I saw that small corms had formed on top of the original corm, each small corm was one of the sprouts I got.
They never gave me flowers just leaves.
I plan to replant these tiny corms again and see if they get big enough to produce flower.

There is this one small request i.e to include information about the best time for sowing seeds/bulbs or taking cuttings and prunings etc for that particular plant. Nice video Sir !
Growing gladiolus corms and other bulbs is easier as compared to their preservation after blooming. If left in soii, they rot. If kept in refrigerator, they become jelly like or liquify as they need temperature not less than 20-25 degrees.
Kindly make a video on how to best preserve the gladiolus corms.
    Thanks.

Hello Dr. Agarwal. This is Dr. Malay Chaklader. I am coming here to discuss one problem with gladiolus. I have encountered repeatedly fungal rust infection in my Gladioli. I have taken each and every care like during corm sprouting I have used sulfur dusting before putting in soil and after its foliage I used mancozeb and bavistin application. I did not use too much watering or over head watering. In spite of aforesaid care, my Gladioli again gets fungal rust. What can I do? Suggests me.

Hello sir,I have tried gladiolus corms for first time, now I have nice plants but since some leaves were bending so I have cut them off but later I noticed that leaves come from the other leaf(I mean like steps or like monstera plant leaves).my doubt is whether they grow further and flower or did I stop the growth by cutting of the bending leaves unknowingly? can you please tell?

Thank you for the video. Like you I am very passionate but not very successful. I watch a lot of videos to see where I am going wrong & try to change accordingly.
I bought gladiolus bulbs from Nursery Live & followed another video for the planting process which was similar to yours with very little difference. I planted early January & most of them germinated but till today they are not showing development of any spikes or flowers. Also some of them are breaking off at the base. Is it because of heavy breeze? I've tried to keep them protected against a wall. I live in Trivandrum & at present it is very hot so I am not giving direct sunlight. How often should I water. They are all still sitting in the original pots & have not been replanted to other pots. Please advise.
