I would really like to come to Kenya one day damn the animals are stunning
Shout-out to you brother, Kenya is very beautiful ✊🏿
🇰🇪 Shout-out to Massai mara 🙏🏾
My favourite part of the video is how the general friendliness of Kenyans comes through. The girl at the souvenir shop, the guy explaining the food at the truck stop and the guys and waitstaff at the camp. Their friendliness sometimes catch you off guard if you're not used to it.
why would friendliness catch u offguard unless you are from a hostile region where people act un natural??
@@goldenboyi1989 If you live in a big city, you don't expect such genuine warmth. The plastic smiles and "have a nice day" you get at retail outlets and fast food joints are not real.
@@freedomm where in Kenya?
@@goldenboyi1989 Talking about Europe mostly.
@@freedomm yes , in the west that is true-but not in africa
Sly, almost everyone in Kenya speaks English it is the official language and Swahili.
That's awesome actually being able to stop and have lunch out there. Wow, what a beautiful place to be! 😁
I miss Kenyan appetizers. But thanks for visiting my beautiful country. Karibu Kenya 🇰🇪, karibu nyumbani.
SAFARI COST: A return flight during low season( if youre flying from US) is max $1k , national park visit is approx $300 for 3 nights, ( if you visit Nairobi national park 20mins drive from the city , its $50 max for half a day ) , daily Airbnb in the city is approx $ 20-40 a night, food in a decent restaurant is $5-10 per meal. Visiting a few sites here and there plus uber hire is approx $ 100-200. Thats it. One week tour with $1500-2k youre sorted.
That's crazy. Back in 2012, I wanted to go to Kenya for a safari and went to a travel agent. Told them I had about $5000 I could spend, but they said minimum is $15000, and it's for security because at the time there was a lot of raids going on. So in the end, I settled for Australia. Now I hear it's better now so been thinking of finally going this year.
@@spirittammyk 😳 Security escort?? Show me that quack agent now coz I'm ready to throw hands. Those are the clowns who mess a country's name, perhaps using Somali terrorists across the border to scare tourists!! I've NEVER heard of security escort in Kenya & I'm well versed with happeninngs. It's not Nigeria with kidnappings. Cops in Kenya are ruthless on such threats. You just have to book plane ticket early to lock in low prices. You can use dubai route which is 14hrs + 4hrs to Kenya but the best is US- London- Kenya. Be ready for bougie places & people too. Kenyan black owned economy too to atleast 90%. I recommend a local tour company called Bonfire Safaris. Check them out. I used them a while back. Lemmi know if you need other pointers.
@@thisandthat1523 It was Liberty Travel agency, in Palm Beach County. I went to them in March of 2012, and like I said, instead of Kenya, went to Sydney in September of the same year. I always go on vacation around September 11th because I refuse to let terrorist to keep me from traveling, so that too could have been a reason they had the rates so high. I'm also a single woman and that too could have made them hesitant.
@@spirittammykI checked them out. To give you a perspective, there are exclusive high end guided tours where accomodation is in super high end resorts that's literally for celebrities. We only get to see articles after guests are gone. Accomodations are $2k+ a night. So their $15k made no sense at all esp with armed security everywhere. We receive millions of tourists a yr so you know cops don't play with such top country earner to allow shenanigans. Anyways, Lots of places to visit in Kenya , beautiful weather, amazing food, etc. FYI I manage teams in corporate US but travel annually so I get to enjoy Kenya like you.😎
I would really like to come to kenya one day damn the animals are stunning patel family business man Nairobi Kenya beautiful video.
Thanks, Sly, for this video! I spent the month of June in Namibia where I took numerous wildlife drives and saw an abundance of wildlife. It was exciting. I also ate very well there. It has been my only journey to Africa. This video brings back happy memories.
1 of my DREAM places. First Rio, Salvador Bahia, Peru & Tequila Mexico now this? Are you reading my mind?😂 Be on the lookout for Spain (coastal cities like Malaga, Gibraltar, Andalusia), Italy/Sicily, Egypt, South Africa & Japan.
Enjoyed your video! I just returned from Kenya. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life.
Yes Sly!! I'm happy to see you travel to Kenya. It would be nice to See you travel through the Sahel region after this and capture the Sahara.
Go to mombasa i highly recommend the food the beach there is also soooo beautiful
Congratulations on getting 50000 subscribers Sly. Best of luck in the future.

If you have time, please, please visit the Nashulai Masai Conservancy, the only fully owned and managed by Maasai conservancy, using the old Maasai values of living close to the wildlife. It is a soul journey.
Great video Sly, one of my travel wish list places is a Safari in Kenya and I was not aware of more budget friendly tours. I have always seen the tours that are luxurious and pricey, so it is wonderful to see budget friendly options. Thanks for the tour name and the prices, hopefully in the do time I will get to check off Kenyan Safari.
She's got on an Ohio State hoodie! Love it! Two things I love: zebras and Ohio State!
You make me miss back home. Living in U.S for half of my life, has been 18 years since I was there

These videos are really nice, Sly.
Great video
Great video Sly! 🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪
16:15 The stunning juxtaposition of wild animals in their natural habitat, and Nairobi's skyscrapers in the background is what I love most about Nairobi. Wild lions within 10 miles of the central business district. Thanks for visiting.
Great video!
Close to the city is Nairobi National park
Feel at home 🥰❤🇰🇪
That’s wild there are lions and rhinos 20 min outside of a major city. I wonder how close they get. I’m thinking about going to Zanzibar in the winter will now consider a couple days on a safari
i live next to Nairobi national park the animals that normally get out often are warthogs and monkeys. Lions get out rarely but there have been cases where they were spotted out but its really rare
if you want to go on a safari go to maasai mara its the bestt
The rare occasion a lion gets out is usually a case of a male that's been ousted from his pride and territory. But wildlife wardens get there soon enough with their tranquilliser guns.
In the many years existence of the national park , no single wild animal has ever killed a citizen. The park has a demarcation security fence though some harmless animals could occasionally jump out in the past.
I was waiting for you to speak in an australian accent lol "Look at the size of that cheeta''!
Man I’m cracking up laughing at you saying you gonna keep the door cracked and stay close to the entrance 😂I would’ve did the same,, but nah you rolled right up on a hunt that was 🔥
Bro they had you guys eating outside with the lions and other animals, Mann!! 😂. Best believe I’m eating inside the truck
Nothing to be afraid about. There is usually an armed warder in the truck
@@msbanji4963 ah I see, thanks for the info :)
@@surrendertoji And those are deignated spots to get out the car.
I'm so pleased you enjoyed your short safari (a Kiswahili word which simply means journey). If you'd been up to planning your fortnight in Kenya more fully, I'd have recommended a better, perhaps two or three day safari in a park with a better, more natural environment. My favourite is Samburu wildlife reserve, but Nakuru is easier to reach. For a mix of wildlife and a range of stunning natural habitats, I'd recommend Mount Elgon NP, with equatorial rain forest, alpine meadows, and a peak reaching 4500m, with natural hit springs, and the massive, crocodile infested Swam Swamp at its foot. From the slopes you can see across the Great Rift, over Lake Victoria, and to the source of the Nile. Next time...kwaheri (see you soon).
Enjoy your stay brother. If you are open to authentic Kenyan experience reach out in the dm. Lot's of places to explore
Lewis Hamilton is also currently at Masaai Mara
If you spot him send his location we come by,lol
I like that little spot it's the last before you start out on the most uncomfortable ride to the bush!!
@@madewithlovek you are going to the bush, the roads are kept and maintained as dirt roads. You can fly in too
@@madewithlovek Of course flying is better, also the views from the top are amazing, 🙌🙌But it will definitely cost you abit more. Most people dont know this but there are countless hotels within these Parks, from budget friendly, middle and the ultra luxurious. You get what you pay for.

@@madewithlovek Not sure if you can fly in but past the shop it's unpaved until you arrive at the reserve. But you will start to see animals and village folk herding their cattle and goats!! it may be paved not when I was there the Chinese were building bridges most of the way to the reserve.
@@wellbbq thank you for the information 🥰
If we pave roads into the park, it will loose it authenticity! Lions and other animals do not need paved roads😂
salute Sly
Nice trip bro, what kind of camera did you use? It's pretty smooth.
🤣🤣🤣 you left the door open just in case you needed to get tf outta there 🤣🤣
To be fair, if I did this I would rather go during the Cheetah hunts than the lion hunts for obvious reasons😄😄
I really wanted to know how much the 3 days and 2 night Safari cost...
Average of about $600 to $1500 depending on your budget
@Habesha Backpacker for a 3days/2nights safari it can range from 320 USD to around 1100 USD depending on the type of accommodation (budget, midrange, luxury) or type of safari(shared, private)
Bro, them spicy chips and that soda.... recipe for disaster on a long safari with no bathroom...🤣😂 Kidding, love your videos bro and thank you for sharing. How long will you be in Kenya?
I think we saw the same lion
Thanks for the revenues kid , thanks a lot 🇰🇪
What time of the year did you do this i have wanted to do this but was never able to figure out a good time of the year.
Hey there! Best time to visit the Maasai Mara Game Reserve is between the months of July to October. This is when you get to experience one of the greatest spectacles in the world, I.e the Great migration of gnus, zebra, impala etc - approximately 2 million in number. They do this every year without fail. The reason they migrate from the Serengeti to the Mara is in search of fresh pasture. It's a perilous journey as not all get to make it, as apex predators like lions have a field day gorging themselves on easy prey. And oh, before I forget, if you do happen to make it during the season, make sure your guide takes you to the Mara river where the crossing takes place. I hope you have a strong stomach, cause you will see some of the biggest crocodiles on earth doing their thing. Believe you me, you won't regret it. We have so many game parks in Kenya. Apart from the Mara, they too can be accessed all year round and they have plenty of game. I would also recommend the Tsavo National Park where you will see the descendants of the infamous man eaters of Tsavo. These 2 brutes feasted on 136 people in a span of less than a year while the lunatic express (railway line) was being built from Mombasa to Uganda. These lions are the real deal, as they are so ferocious. By the way, the remains of the 2 lions are preserved in the Chicago museum. So I say KARIBU KENYA. HAKUNA MATATA!
@@raymondomollo6748 thank you for responding, I look forward to my next trip
Your welcome.
You hired a whole cruiser by yourself? Should have reached out bro.
Hakuna wangoso kumesota😂
These animals are so exotic
But aren’t they mean ? Would they let you get close for petting them
You don't pet wild animals...
They are in their natural habitat. You can't pet them
Not if you want to stay alive 😂 Didn't you hear what that guy told him? The buffalo is the most aggressive of the big 5.
Lol, do not ever ever pet, feed or get cozy with wild animals.
Lmao you try that you'd be quickly turned into dinner.
Have you ever taken a 23 and Me test?
You look 100% Kenyan.
Glad you did not get Eaten!
Is it that hard, for you to tell ,cost of this safari, or you have hidden agenda?..
So a return flight during low season( if youre flying from US) is max $1k , the safari go for approx $300 for 3 nights, ( if you visit Nairobi national park 20mins drive from the city its $50 max) , daily Airbnb in the city is approx $ 20-40 a night, food in a decent restaurant is $5-10 per meal. You obviously weren’t paying any attention…he literally gave the name of the tour company @12:37 🤦🏾♂️
If the price hasn't been displayed then your accent will get you fleeced. 😂
Sly, did you meet Tarzan?
Great job but I'm never going to Africa. I saw those hyenas eat several different types of animals alive including a young elephant. When I was young I was afraid of snakes but now I'm afraid of the female hyenas. I don't think there's anything more powerful per pound.
If you think a hyena is the baddest animal in the park.....check out MAASAI SIGHTINGS channel...you're missing out on a lot by limiting yourself
@@PLATT777 Don't talk to me like you're paying my bills. You don't know what I watch and you're telling me something that I already know about. You need to find something better to do. Now if you pay the bills then it's yes sir and yes ma'am and if you have children then you should probably spend time with them because you're talking like a terrible parent. You don't even know what's going on in my life man. You're not bringing anything to the table and anyone who listens to you will be limited
I am more afraid of caterpillars. I used to fear female fish until the male fish taught me how to eat e’m. I will never go to any body of water I will stick to my flight nature. I don’t think there is anything more power than intelligence per Oz
@@coryddp7254 oh wow was that paragraph necessary.... Yes we don't pay your bills... But I hope you realize that the whole continent(Africa) is not a National park. If you don't want to see animals you can stay away from parks.
@@coryddp7254 lol why you so angry? I never said I wanted to pay your bills or take care of your kids who I never asked about in the first place. Do whatever you want!
