Disney's Magical Quest Starring Mickey & Minnie for the Game Boy Advance is port of the Super NES game, The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse. I played this game in 2002, and beat it in all levels. I still own it.
I love the graphical improvements and the addition of Minnie Mouse but the music took a big nose dive. The chipper tone this makes everything more nostalgic in a way but it's not close to as the instruments from the Super Nintendo
It’s really noticeable with Dark Forest in particular. The instruments in the SNES version blow it out of the water. The GBA sounds like a bootleg imitation almost.
I have good memories of this game. it's been so incredibly long since I've played this game. I can't remember how young I was when I last played it but I know I still have the gba cart lying around somewhere
Warning! This longplay is missing a Heart Container in 1-2 (the only exclusive for Expert mode). Thanks for uploading this, I was missing a Magical Mirror item (I don't own that game, but I'm a completionist!).
OH MY GOD, HOW I GREW UP! HOW MUCH TIME HAS PASSED! I WAS ABOUT 5 YEARS OLD WHEN I WATCHED THE PLAYTHROUGH OF THIS GAME. I ALWAYS DREAMED OF PLAYING IT MYSELF, BUT I DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT DEVICE! AFTER 9 YEARS, I SEARCHED SO HARD AND FOR SO LONG FOR THIS PASSAGE, BUT I COULDN'T! BUT TODAY I FOUND IT. THANK YOU, LORD, FOR FEELING THIS STRONG, HUGE, DAMN, NOSTALGIA.
I've only ever run into the second GBA one locally all of once, didn't pick it up. For the time being, having the SNES trilogy (or SFC for the third game), will suffice. The GBA just didn't have it in the sound department, I know Konami (of all companies)struggled mightily with this handheld, and they usually adapt to consoles quite quickly. Capcom wouldn't really fare any better. Then again I haven't game hunted locally in years, since they don't ever carry imports, and that's pretty much what I have been after for years, sometimes occasionally buying the domestic US games if I can get them cheap enough.
The Gameboy Advance was great at taking classic games and having playable female characters in them. I like that. Examples: this game; Sonic Advance(not a remake, but has classic gameplay + Amy); Super Mario Advance(the original game already had the Princess as playable, but still the GBA version had refreshing additions)
+Rodrigo de Cos Gawrysiak Not to mention Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen, which remade the original Pokémon Red/Blue/Green, and added Green from the Pokémon Adventures manga as a female player character.
Wow. Pretty interesting. My guess is that the game stores some information in the GBA memory, and then the game stores new info that replaces the old one when required.

What a massive, gargantuan downgrade the music is here vs the SNES original. Like holy crap it’s not even close! I also love how every text box somehow blocks Minnie unlike in the SNES where you’d be able to see Mickey as well as the text.

I think same. Game boy advance have a good intentions for re-created but, I prefer Super Nintendo, what a masterpiece

Nicely faithful to the SNES version! I love how Minnie has female versions of the special costumes:)
I had such a hard time playing this as a kid. You made it look so easy... lol

Did you ever find it?
The Gameboy Advance was such an amazing console, it needs More recognition.
omg the key was to use full charged magic shots to defeat Pete, I can't believe it xD

I think the SNES version's music sounds better than the gba version
No shit.
No the GBA sounds better
I think the sound is screwed on this video
And it’s not even close.
Glad they added minnie in the gba version

Good god I remember this game! I played it so many ties.
The fact that Disney hasn’t remade this game is probably relieving.

I remember that I watched this game when I was 7 years old together with other games of this type ;)
This game traumatized me as a child. There’s something very sinister about it and I can’t put my finger in it
You must be thinking of Magical Mirror buddy

So, its same Magical Quest as on SNES, but they added Minnie...
That automatically makes it perfect aside from the soundbytes.
Was watching this and didn't remember many things of it... Then I noticed I had 2 not 1 haha
i love Disney games of the 80s and the 90s

This game is a portable port from the super nintendo version. But the GBA version dont have better music and sounds than SNES.
Este juego estara en mi memoria ♡👏👏
As a kid I was so trash at this game 🤣 I never got past the Treetops

@Energytainment I don't think you're qualified to know that.

I wish they would put this on the switch 😔

I could never get past the world 3 final boss
So the 3 gba ports are the same exact as the SNES? Besides being able to play as different characters?

Yeah I would rather have sounds over graphics.(gba version is a bit more polished than the snes version)

Este juego debería salir para Switch remasterizado!!! Al estilo como hicieron con DuckTales.
Love this game ❤️😍❤️
My dad bought me this game at an road trip in summer 03, beat it whitin an hour😂
Why does this version have far lower ratings than the old SNES one?
Did you happen to have the mute button activated? The sound is god awful. Like they took the original and processed it with a Atari 5200

Is there any difference between the difficulty levels besides the number of lives and hearts you start with?
Yes. There’s more enemies and the bosses have more health and are more difficult.

Lmao didnt remember minnie was in the game xDDD
She wasn't.
@@CallOfEuropeanSpirit Actually, she wasn't playable in the original SNES version, but they added her here as an extra playable character.
