I watched the last 2 videos you reacted to before i colored my hair in the spring. I was trying to find a black color shortcut. I tried it. It came out a gentle black color and lasted only like 2/3 washes. I wont be trying that again. Lol
Hi I love your videos. I have some grey hair and I've seen a product which has both henna and indigo powders combined. Would that be ok to use on my hair?
Ok, so i have type 4hair and in order to moisturize my hair an oil, or in my case, a butter must be used to seal the moisture in. Will i be able to use indigo? How will i moisturize my hair without removing the colour,
@@dearinsomniadontletthebedb9237 after you do the 2 step process, put a leave-in conditioner on your hair and put into twists (or plaits) and cover with a silk scarf. Hi Kadhija for a such teaching about, henna and indigo powder. I'm going to try it for hair. Where you are located just in case I want to purchase from you?
I have been dyeing my greys with 2-step henna/indigo for a few years now. I have thinning hair and did not want to aggrivate the (genetic) reality by using chemicals. Mixing the two was challenging at first. Henna was making my scalp itch like crazy, and the indigo would not take well. I tried everything the videos instructed and finally settled on what works for me: henna - mix to a pudding consistency, with water, add a couple tablespoons of almond oil AND cream conditioner. Leave covered for 2 hrs. The color is vibrant and my scalp does not itch at all; indigo - mix to paste consistency with warm water and 3 drops of perfumed oil of your choice (helps with the strong smell of the indigo). Leave covered for 3-4 hrs.
I have used henna since I was 17, I am now in my fifties. I now do the two step for gray, henna + indigo. It is time consuming but so worth it. Thank you beautiful for sharing!!

😇 Hi Kadijah.. I am 57 with some graying hair and I would like to use the henna and indigo process for my hair.. I want to get the bluish/black color, how long should I let the henna stay in and how long should I let the indigo stay in to achieve that.. I really would like more midnight blue to black result, my hair is low porosity and drying because of menopause, my natural hair color aside from the gray is a little lighter than a coffee dark brown, the length of my hair is past my shoulders, to right below my shoulder blade. I know now to add the aloe Vera powder to the henna powder when preparing to help with dryness. I started also noticing that my hair is thinning with age/menopause also. I use to go to the Dominican salon but when menopause hit, I only go maybe 2 times a year. I believe the thinning maybe came from the super hot blue dryers that they use to straighten the hair, plus I really like my natural curls more than the straight hair. I only get it straighten when I have a special/formal event to go to or just to see how long it grew, my hair type is 3c.. need your expertise advise.
I purchased Henna (from your site) and used overnight or 4/5 hours and followed up with indigo( 30 mins) for 2 or 3 years to color my gray hair( in my 60’s) and finally gave it up. I started with lemon juice, then tea and then coconut milk. No problem with coverage, washing out but my natural hair became drier and drier as well as rough feeling. My curls stated to disappear The smell was hard for me to deal with. I’m probably 85\90 % gray. I’m also protein sensitive, high density, and coarse. Too scared to go back to it but loved the color results.
@hennasooq mentioned adding aloe Vera powder to the henna and deep conditioner after. You can also add amla to the henna mix to help witj keeping curls or even a amla treatment every 2 weeks x
I hear her say that lemon or anything acidic will also dry the hair. I used henna and the color was beautiful but my hair was dry. Next time I'm adding aloe powder. I think she might have mentioned using a little essential oils for smell. May a little Rosemary since that seems to help with hair? I went to her website Henna Sooq. It has lots of helpful information. 🌻
Hi! I was wondering some things about using indigo mixed with henna or over a henna base-when the brown/black color starts to fade, do the reddish tones stick around stubbornly and make the hair look very auburn or coppery? If so, how soon does this indigo fading usually happen with very minimal washing and product application?
My experience: it stays strong if you've applied it correctly. I use a henna base first then do straight indigo I don't mix the two, never worked for me in the past). After years of trying and ending up with green hair, I finally got it right and the results were basically permanent.
I've been using a mix of henna and indigo powder for my hair for the past 3 years but I've noticed that I get terrible symptoms from it. I suspect it's from the indigo because everytime I use it the symptoms get worse (migraine headache, nausea, vomiting and stiff neck and shoulder muscles) which is super disappointing because I love the way my hair looks afterwards. I'm not dissing indigo at all. It is by far better than using commercial hair dyes. But I'm wondering if anyone here has had similar reactions to indigo before or any tips to share for an alternative to using indigo? Thanks advance! 🌻
As someone who's applying henna since 13,lemon juice that too of this much amount is a big No No. Also, for indigo it's always like warm water. I prefer using fengureek +Amla powder into henna paste +water/curd soaked overnight. I don't do any other step.
I love love love Henna sooq i stocked up and the quality is amazing that you don’t need a lot of product so it last. my curls just act right every time i use the gloss , the powder the cleansers.
I just love your video's. I am allergic to chemical dye which causes inflammation in my body. I have been gathering all the information I can before taking the plunge. I do not want to end up with orange ( my biggest fear), my goal is a soft brown. Wish me luck!
hennasooq My mom was gonna try the same thing as the last one did.. just dying her grays with indigo only.. but she uses a daily henna touch up creme on her grays everyday.. something called Naturally Brite henna hair dye which has her roots looking permanently red. So if she goes ahead and just uses the indigo powder only on her roots will she be okay?
Thank you so much for making this RUclips channel. You have answered so many questions I've had. Through watching your videos. I am trying henna for the 1st time in a week, and I'm so excited. I was wondering if there is a specific bowl for mixing the henna?
Hello! When using pure henna powder (body art quality), and herbs for hair, you can use stainless steel bowls. Traditionally, they have used iron bowls, as it has shown to bring our more dye release. We typically use a spatula to mix it. We don’t usually use plastic bowls because they are porous, and the herbs will stain the bowl. The commercial boxes of henna, and henna “colors” that contain other ingredients, herbs, additives, metallic salts, etc..would more so cause reactions with metal bowls, then 100% pure herbs would.
I always boil black rice, clove and black tea bags with a tablespoon of ACV as my acid. The vinegar doesn’t bother my hair too much because I usually deep-co right before
I use henna. Like the burgundy color it gives. I use beetroot juice. I have never used indigo as a friend of mine got terrible rashes on her face after indigo usage. She has sensitive skin. Patch test for indigo is a must
Hello! Love your video! I have a question. I had my hair red over a course of 9 months and 3 months ago I dyed it black. This was all done professionally. I’m curious if I were to dye my hair using henna would this damage my hair or maybe cause it to turn a random color?
i’ve been dying my hair black with box dye for many years and i decided to use henna instead. nothing happens, if anything your hair feels healthy. hope this helps
Is it really necessary to do the two-step process for gray hair? Two-step Seems So time-consuming. I do have gray hair-lots; natural hair. If I mix the indigo and henna together, will it not work to cover the gray? Thanks in advance for your help 🥰
Yes, the two-step process is required to achieve black tones. Make sure that your follow these steps for stubborn greys: hennasooq.com/blogs/frontpage/stubborn-greys-black-hair-how-to-make-indigo-work-for-your-resistant-hair
I do the 2 steps. The problem is that black hair don't suit me. I do roots only though. I have a lot of greys and when doing the 2 steps, my grey become black but then after the first wash 3 days after with my organic shampoo, it becomes light orange/ maroon. So the whole of my head is getting darker but the grey are a dull maroon. Don't really know what to do

I have been doing henna for over 20 years I have tried many brands… Only crops that are fresh and only the plant. So with that being said I do love henna sooq brand.. I don’t think it has anything to do with henna soo was brand …. I am having such a hard time with my color coming out when I shampoo and condition I wash once a week maybe I use only natural brands with no chemicals. I do a acv rinse with cold water. I have recently been doing the indigo and henna with all sorts of ratios. My hair is long long and curly. I use aloe Vera and Amla. Not sure if I can use amla with my indigo ? I hope I get some help because do I use a lot of powder these days every 5 weeks I’m doing my hair. Yes I have lots of grey. Thanks henna sooq I am about to put a new order in today.
@@HennaSooq it actually worked, one table spoon Henna, 2 .5 table spoon Amal powder , soaked overnight . Added 5 tablespoons indigo and one onion juice .
What henna color do you use on grays. I mixed dark brown and black henna powder together and covered great. Hairdresser used only dark brown and the gray strands turned a beautiful copper, bur, my hair is black. So I decided to mix both colors and it actually worked on my waist length hair. But any other suggestions? Oh I have a botox treatment on my hair too.
Hi, I have black dye in my hair already. If I want to switch to bright Henna dye (if possible). How would I proceed, please? I'm looking to get a bright red.. but just red of any kind can do also. I'm just looking for a drastic change..although not all reds suit me well. I have no clue what I'm doing. Even tho all the tutorials..it becomes confusing. Thank you in advance 😊
Hello. You may want to consider our organic Rajasthani Indian henna and make sure to add aloe Vera powder along with our cowash so that you have enough slip to ensure to reduce breakage. Also our Moroccan rosewater reduces breakage and shedding.
Help!! I am about 30% gray my hair currently is naturally a slightly brassy med brown and now I have about the last 6 inches light blonde. I’m Constantly fighting brassy tones and because of that I have been afraid to go to the all natural Henna. I really want to cover my grey but I don’t want it to be orange, red or yellow. But for health reasons and the health of my hair I want to stop using chemicals. What would you recommend?
I was not born with black hair. It was more red when I was a baby and has gotten darker over time but it's still brown and even burgundy in some areas. I even have tiny blonde and red hairs on my body...I don't know why. I'm a black person but like, not very dark complexion. And I started getting grey hairs from a baby. So...I have to live with it because I love my brown hair and I don't want to colour it black...but the grey hairs are in my head front and some people are so cruel but I just have to live with it and accept myself for who I am.
My hair had red when I was a kid too. As I got older it darkened to dark brown. In the sun I can see reddish tint to my hair. I dye it black with henna because I like how it looks with my skin tone. African descendant people have the most genetic diversity. My family in Ethiopia have red and blonde hair. At 17 I started getting grey hairs. Don't feel bad❤
I used hanna dyes black and brown, which I mix both henna dyes together. I have grade 4C hair the colour will last for 4weeks in hair ,however my hairline will fade the gray will come through within 2 weeks. What can i do to keep the gray from my hair line pls.
I loved the content of this video, I want to color my gray and it does not come out orange what do I need to do? I don’t like my hair black I color my hair with henna light brown or mahogany and even Auburn
Hi! I did the mistake of using indigo directly to my hair without doing the henna step first and of course no color and my hair stayed the same. Can I redo the process again but by applying henna first ? I want to achieve deep black (over dark brown)
Hello, First timer both in viewing your video and trying Habibs Henna for the very first time. Application was quite simple. I had a great experience with using black tea, lemon juice, and 1 egg. I allowed my henna to sit undisturbed for exactly two hours before adding the lemon juice and egg. After I applied it to my dry hair I let it remain on for another two hours and covered with plastic cap. Then I rinsed the henna from my hair. I did wash and condition my hair after and began my regular curl regimen routine. My hair came out silky and soft with reddish highlights all throughout my hair. However, my hair is dark brown shoulder length 4a hair type and it dries out frequently. Therefore, it requires lots of daily moisturizing. Do you have a specific preference or the best hair moisturizer to use for my hair type? I would love to hear your insight. And yes I’m a new subscriber😊
For clarification, do you mean a moisturizer that won’t lighten the henna or just a moisturizer in general? I have enjoyed Shea moisture and Cantu in the past, I also have really dry skin and hair and need to re-moisturize every day
Hey Khadija, you do have an old video where you mentioned that salt would help the color stick ruclips.net/video/C34Pb8bcXHo/видео.html I do use your products but I am kicking myself for forgetting the salt, because when I used the Hennasooq indigo for the 2nd step after Red Raj, the indigo didnt stick despite having it on my head for 5hrs, :(
hennasooq If you use a daily henna dye as a touch up on your roots like Naturally Brite henna hair dye could that get on your face over time and dye the skin on your face red?. My moms been using that as a touch up on her roots and she swears its turning her normal yellowish tannish skin tone to a darker reddish orangey brown.
It depends on your hair but generally we recommend using our shampoo bars or hair wash and then the treatment or coloring and then lastly our cleansing cowash to restore all the moisture back. Some clients prepoo if they need a very moisturizing cleansing treatment.
After watching your videos I believe that I can do this. I have a little Grey hair going on at 64 years of age. I ve made up my mind that I’m going to use henna due to thinning . I miss my beautiful long hair. I got me some henna and indigo. The understanding that is to mix both with Luke water lemon is optional. No I will not use the lemon because of the dryness. Coffee perhaps . I’m going to mix both individually and wait 24 hrs. I’m going to wash an put the balm around edges and ears . However, the next step will be to apply the henna wait 2 hrs then apply the indigo and wait 3 hrs. Please make any corrections. Thank You
Hi Sooq, it's my first time using henna and indigo. I never used any oils in my henna mix which I did with green tea. I'm worried about how to rinse it off and how dry it would be because I have dry hair. The only oil.i have is coconut oil. Please tell me what I should do so that my hair is not brittle ànd hard after I rinse off the henna and before the indigo mix😭
Hello, it will only turn a green hue if you use indigo. We recommend a two-step process with Indigo: hennasooq.com/blogs/frontpage/complete-guide-how-to-color-your-hair-with-henna-and-indigo/
If you are coloring your hair with henna, you can choose either amla or aloe for your mixture but you want to use a small amount because it can take away from the color. If you want to add these herbs for more of a hair mask mixture, you can add as much as you'd like.
Hello. You can add the Indigo after the henna. You can check this guide for your reference: hennasooq.com/blogs/frontpage/complete-guide-how-to-color-your-hair-with-henna-and-indigo/
I rinsed out my henna + indigo mix and I was drying my hair (I cannot stand wet hair) and it stained my hands blue lol. Is this gonna go away after I wash it in a couple of days??
I've just permanently dyed my hair black at the salon but want to get the blue tint to it... Should I use the indigo henna two step process or only the indigo one step
If you have greys the two step process is going to be the way to go, otherwise they won't match the rest of the hair. Here is the video on greys: ruclips.net/video/SDV1ShzhJGw/видео.html

what do you do now?
@@unabashed Do you not mix them together?
Same here very much same here dear absolutely I also suffered a dizziness after applying indigo but still I want to use it but ism ğ
You can try adding amla instead of you want
I read on a henna site not to use it if you have mold allergies. You could be allergic
@@0famz I didn't know know that. I do have allergies to mold so that would make sense. Thank you for your reply! 🌻
@@CorinneK3178 you're welcome! 😊
As someone who's applying henna since 13,lemon juice that too of this much amount is a big No No. Also, for indigo it's always like warm water.
I prefer using fengureek +Amla powder into henna paste +water/curd soaked overnight. I don't do any other step.
New to your videos. Full of helpful information. Thank you.
I love love love Henna sooq i stocked up and the quality is amazing that you don’t need a lot of product so it last. my curls just act right every time i use the gloss , the powder the cleansers.
Thank you so much!
did you loose your curls due to henna and indigo?
I love you so much, thank you for your time
thanks for sharing how to use the Hanna ad Indigo to color your hair
I just love your video's. I am allergic to chemical dye which causes inflammation in my body. I have been gathering all the information I can before taking the plunge. I do not want to end up with orange ( my biggest fear), my goal is a soft brown. Wish me luck!
How did it go? :) I’m considering trying it but am a little afraid.
@@shieldoffaith8798 It went very well!
Did you combine henna n indigo? I find just using henna too orangey for me
You sound like me. Using chemicals I had a very bad allergic reaction. How did it turn out?
did you manage to get it?
hennasooq My mom was gonna try the same thing as the last one did.. just dying her grays with indigo only.. but she uses a daily henna touch up creme on her grays everyday.. something called Naturally Brite henna hair dye which has her roots looking permanently red.
The vinegar doesn’t bother my hair too much because I usually deep-co right before
Hi, so is that what you use to dye your hair? If so, how long does it last?
Don't really know what to do
Hello. You can refer to this guide to help you along the way: hennasooq.com/blogs/frontpage/complete-guide-how-to-color-your-hair-with-henna-and-indigo/
Its very helpful coz this is going to b ma first tym using henna fingers crossed
Wow! I don’t have indigo! I just bought the henna pack at the beauty supply
Ohh! Let us know how it'd turned out
I have been doing henna for over 20 years I have tried many brands…
Only crops that are fresh and only the plant.
Can I mix onion juice in henna and indigo pack
You can with the henna mix but not the indigo as indigo is very fussy and may not work well.
@@HennaSooq it actually worked, one table spoon Henna, 2 .5 table spoon Amal powder , soaked overnight . Added 5 tablespoons indigo and one onion juice .
@@HennaSooq thank you for explaining that we have to leave indigo to oxidise and release colour.

Hi, can you use the 2 step process and l.o.c(leave in conditioner, oil, cream) without stripping the color?
Enjoyed this video. I have used indigo I didn't get any results
Can I use Aloe Vera gel or juice? Thank you ma.
Mama... Can I use Brewed Coffee instead of distilled water??? I've heard it's ok to use it, YOUR THOUGHTS PLIZ????
You can use coffee, but it can dry out your hair
What about using pure aloe juice? Would that work same as powder, Ms? Thanks so much!
Hello. Yes you may do so.
@@HennaSooq Thank you so much, I appreciate your reply. Will definitely give it a try. I'm just scared to make a mess. 😳😅
Same!
Love your personality💙🖤
Hello. Yes, you may give it a try
Hello,
First timer both in viewing your video and trying Habibs Henna for the very first time.
I have enjoyed Shea moisture and Cantu in the past, I also have really dry skin and hair and need to re-moisturize every day
I really enjoyed this
Is it true you get stronger color if you don't cover with a plastic cap?
Thankful
For find your videos. Yesterday I used henna in two steps But I’m so
Mad my roots gray hair looks strong orange what I do ??
Hello. You can redo with indigo on the areas of the greys to help darken those.
Do I use conditioner for the pre wash or just shampoo?
Thank You
I thought the red henna is washed out before putting on the indigo?

When should I use deep conditioner after Hanne mask?
Hi Sooq, it's my first time using henna and indigo. I never used any oils in my henna mix which I did with green tea. I've seen one girl who painted brown hair by mixing henna and indigo together so she did it all in one go. Does that really work?
What about adding CASTOR OIL liquid and water with the henna ???? Anybody can tell me your thoughts thanks????
No dont do that.
What happens if you don't use henna and just go in with indigo? Will the black color still take ?

Hi there, hope you'r well. I wanted to find out if I can use Henna with Apple Cider Vinegar for great benefits to my overall hair growth?
Yes you can. Though, amla is more potent for hair growth.
@@HennaSooq Thank you so much! ill try mixing it up with Apple cider vinegar as well.
When u get orange colour in the tissue after soaking it in henna mix .it is original henna.i mean a henna with out chemical
I like henna on my hair, I use it all the time. Do you sell henna eyebrow tint
Suggestions for adding Amla powder to Henna and for adding Aloe powder to Indigo??
If you are coloring your hair with henna, you can choose either amla or aloe for your mixture but you want to use a small amount because it can take away from the color. If you want to add these herbs for more of a hair mask mixture, you can add as much as you'd like.
