Twitter gets mad over everything nowadays. Like, this man literally improved 1000 people's lives, and Twitter would probably be the ones to say,'Why didn't he cure more people'.
Yeah I know, but what I wanted to say: is that I have agressively scold them on twitter to remove their stupid annoying, obnoxious and hateable censorship on the japanese popular culture for many reasons and that's all.
No offense, but he did not cure blindness. That gives off the idea that he found a cure for all forms of blindness or performed the surgeries, which is simply not true. He paid for cataract surgery for 1000 people. A surgery that existed for years upon years and that does not cure all types of blindness but a very specific type of vision problem. Now, that is still a very commendable feat and shouldn't be looked down upon nor cause someone to be mad. And he still did something incredibly good by showing how stupid it is that people in a so-called first world country are denied treatment even though the means exist. However, other types of blindness still can't be cured and he didn't invent the cure/cataract surgery nor performed the surgery and I have to shake my head at people for spreading the rhetoric that he cured blindness when he never claimed that in the end and also criticized the healthcare systems for not funding treatment for an illness that has a treatment. If people spread the idea that "he cured blindness", it will affect the funding of research for curing all manner of illnesses causing blindness. Because once again, he did not cure blindness but people will think he did because so many are saying it and people are then wondering why they should donate to research programs to cure other types of blindness. It is stupid to blame him for doing something good however. I am instead blaming the people thoughtlessly writing "he literally cured blindness". Just to give you an idea, my father had cataract surgery last year. My grandmother a few years ago. It's not that strange of a surgery. Both of which were paid by universal healthcare. Should I now say "universal healthcare literally cured blindness"? And his video was in support of those who cannot afford it while criticizing that people have to live in a country where that's something they can't afford for no real reason. Which is still a noble cause and I deem it an incredibly good deed. It's all about the wording though.
