Still crazy to me that a few years ago, Darren was just running a local dog shelter in North Carolina, and now he’s helping run a global charity organization.

Is it just me, or does it feel like young people living real lives are doing more and more for the communities around them than any of the older generation in our governments? I love this so much! Food waste is such a big problem. I live in Vegas and we have a very big food waste problem. I wish an organization like this was here.
I know most of the credit for this is because of what Mr. Beast does, but Darrin is a very special guy for what he does world wide!
He’s feeding 70,000 people monthly. Consistently and it’s growing. Even if his main channel content isn’t in my interest I will always watch if it means he can keep doing stuff like this.

As a mother of 11 and grandmother of 20!! I'm blessed with struggles and challenges I get to go through. I still struggle to pay rent and making ends meet. I'm lucky to have shelter and a smile is priceless

As someone who is on EBT... this made me cry. Sometimes I run out of money at the end of the month and have to wait for more, and in the meantime my food is scarce. Food pantry help a lot.
yeah im in CA my stuff runs out week or two before the next pay.
A lot of shoppers at my store use EBT. Watching them choose what food they wanna put away is just.. heart breaking. I do my best to cover 5 or 10 dollars here.
This reminds me of a documentary I watched about the hospitals in Yamen for malnourished children. It was called Hunger Ward. There are children in these hospitals that are suffering and dying that these doctors are desperately trying to save as the war on famine increases. There are children who are over the age of 10 that look skeletal and like 3/4 year olds. It’s so heartbreaking… I think you need to go help these children. It’s increasingly getting worse and the hospitals don’t have all of the proper equipment to save these children. It’s heartbreaking.

This reminds me of the time that in my 6th grade year, my school, a small catholic school, was donated thousands of dollars worth of food to give to students. Every Friday we god a bag full of snacks, frozen meals, drinks, breakfasts, and so much more. In my area the public schools are not good at all and the kids don’t learn anything, but at the private school kids are multiple grades ahead, so so many parents spend all of their money on their kids tuition to give them a good education and it caused a lot of parents to not be able to afford that much more. It was so nice of the people who donated it. This helps so many people, you can help someone’s whole life get better by just telling them something nice.

I'll be clear and say that I don't think Mr Beast is doing it for the clout or sponsor money, he has done a lot of really big philanthropy and moving all the ad revenue from that to even more philanthropy, but even if he were, as long as it is being done right and helping people, no one should hate on that.

I made the same proposal like this one in my course back then, and it was rejected since panelists says its not sustainable and money will quickly drain faster than food being distributed. Its good to see something like this strive and a lot of people willing to support the cause.

well, you gotta find stores who donate their spare food and volunteers to help you share them. But if you're this big you also need some storage place, trucks and stuff and this needs actual money, so you need someone donating for your cause

@@DaveyJonesJrwhile you are right, the underlying problem (capitalism) isn’t being addressed, this kind of community organization is absolutely something that has to be done as long as we live in this system. It isn’t going to fix the problem, but it will help those that suffer the most.
