      As i know, since 16 December 2019, the line is contracted directly by ROPID and has no more to do with ČD. Train tickets are no longer valid there.

      @@breznik1197 You're right, it used to be serviced by buses with ČD liveries, but is now serviced with ordinary crossway buses with the standard (PIT) livery. I can't edit my original comment for some reason, i would correct it if i could.

      The line AE is in ČD owenership, but DPP is operator and when trains may to Václav Havel airport, this line will not exist, but there I write about year 2030, when the railway track Prague-Kladno in numbers 120 will have 2 tacks with eletric traction, today trains from Kladno ends in Prague Dejvice next to Hradčanská, because betwen Prague Bubny and new railway stop Prague Výstaviště growing new flyover

    I can vouch for the depth of the Náměstí Míru station. I went to Vinohrady on my visit to Prague in November. You could read War and Peace while taking those escalators up or down.

    I love how you can also see the Tatra T6A5 tram in the Škoda 14T picture (1:13) which would be a separate tram family :D
    Though I know these no longer operational in Prague as of 2023. Why did they remove them before the T3 even when they are newer than the Tatra T3?

    • @Myrtone
      @Myrtone Месяц назад

      Regarding the older trams and 6:30, apparently the older tram types are without any stop request buttons or buzzer chords.
      Not mentioned is that the Prague tram system has only a few request stops, mostly in outer residential areas. When then next stop is one of them, a bell icon appears where the next stop is displayed, this is also not mentioned. It goes to show that stopping on demand at some stops but not other intermediate stops according to context can work.

    This was the most informative thing about Czechia, I've ever seen. There are some points I really find difficult to understand:
    - I am coming from another developing country (Türkiye) and I am very familiar with extreme levels of corruption. Here in Czechia? When I look around, all I see is a developed country and a capital city. Maybe this applies mostly to Prague but still I find it weird to hear corruption issues at this level, in the middle of the Europe, in a EU country.
    - Use of bicycles is very limited. Another thing that surprises me. I see very respectful drivers, especially compared to Türkiye. These people are like angels. Why don't people use bicycles? Weird as fuck.
    - Low-floor transportation is a little bit problematic, as far as I can see. I may understand the Tatra ones to a certain degree due to their ages but Skoda 14T? Nonsense if you ask me. Nothing should be high-floor for the last 2 decades, at least. Especially when you consider that the 14T is designed by Porsche guys, lol.
    To sum up; these and some other small things might sometimes annoy you but I am astonished by the overall coverage and quality of the mass-transportation substructure of the Prague. You pay roughly 150 Euros and buy an unlimited ticket for almost everything for a whole year. This is a no-brainer for me. I love this city.

      Yes, overall, our public transport system is amazing, and I'm super grateful for it.
      The corruption, I mean, it's not as bad as countries like Russia, but still, we have plenty of it here
      The high floor trams.. yeah, they shouldn't really exist in the 21st century, I agree.
      The price is really good, in part because of heavy subsidies by the city. To be honest, I don't mind paying taxes to get cheaper public transport, I see it as a public benefit

      Thing is Czechia mostly has "it costs more than it should" corruption, the "It just does not get build" corruption is very rare.
      It was more of a thing in 1990s, seach H-system for a very prominent case

    • @fakamada
      @fakamada 9 месяцев назад

      @@michalsoukup1021 Actually it is same in Türkiye. Maybe at an enormous degree compared to Czechie but it costs more than it should somehow. This is how some politicians make billions (yes, with "b") of dollars during their periods.
      When you have a huge "it doesn't get built" history, ignorant citizens, especially the older generations just don't care about the cost corruption. They just vote for the result.
