    Thanks for posting this.
We get our new caravan next week and I was worried about getting through the gates to the side of our house and I want to bring van in forward so door is nearest the house, so I have ordered a powertouch.
Happy to see that it's slow and controllable.

Just got one fitted to day and and I have to say I am really impressed. It will make hitching up much easier especially when I go away by myself. I've got an X3 and even with the sensors turned off reversing is impossible. This will make life so much easier when parking on uneven ground.

@@Tintenter I found it very informative and much more useful than the dealership that fitted its demonstration.

When disengaging the mover, you should leave the remote "turned on" for a final few seconds, after you think it's all done, until you hear the mover retraction motors go one final time - it's just after they've stopped retracting and the motor stops, a couple of seconds later they then go again for a split second releasing the sliding mechanism. Once that's happened, you can then feel the edge of the sliding mechanism (where it has the no hands sticker) and if that 'wobbles' slightly, then its then ok to turn off the remote. If you turn the remote off too soon, this final 'resting mode' might not happen. Similarly, when they're engaging, you'll hear the motor move the mechanism on to the tyres, and then stop and then a second or so later a final noise from the motor as they are fully engaged.

looks to be very close to the ground.Thinking it might get damaged by a speed bump or by pulling off a single track road and hitting a stone or similar

I have an older Powertouch mover and the instructions say NOT to turn off the remote, leave it to do it itself, only takes about 1 min from when last used.

We have just brought a second hand caravan with this type of controller. Your video explains how to use it very well, but can you tell me if the battery in the controller fails do you have to pair it again to the receiver in the van ?.

We have changed our battery a couple of times and not had to pair it again. Hope all works well.
