I'm in the middle of this book right now. I'm loving the 2024 story, especially the STIV side characters that are interviewed by the podcasters.

I loved the book and the mystery. I found it a very creative story in the way it all connected. Im going to have to go back and reread the movie era for the Saavik character . . .I was not as struck as you by that . . .Thanks for the review!❤

This sounds wonderful. Thank you for the review, Jonathan. I think this is one I will definitely read--and hopefully, this month as I've been participating in Book Trek 2024 this summer. I'm a big Original Series fan. Thanks again, Jonathan, for another really thoughtful review.

@@jonathankoan I’ve read some very good ones. I’ve also read some of the earliest Star Trek novelizations, such as James Blish’s early novelizations in the 1960’s based on the scripts of the first TV episodes. They are really not very good as literature, but they’re interesting from a historical perspective, for sure. I’ve also read some of Vonda McIntyre’s early novelizations, and she’s very good. Then I moved into the more recently written books from the Original Series. I’ve enjoyed some Christopher Bennett. I know I have some Greg Cox but haven’t gotten to him yet. Thanks again, Jonathan.

I so wish we were getting more Star Trek books more often. At least we got this one. There's only one strange new worlds coming out this year and then another one next year I don't see any TOS, TNG DS9 or Voyager on the docket.
I don't touch Picard or discovery even in book form
