There was absolutely no counter point to what Jessica Taylor was asserting. Zip, zero, nada. Taylor is NOT A DOCTOR nor a psychologist. She can only speak to her experience. So much of what she said is demonstrably refuted. Jeff and every other parent has every right to parent their children as they see fit. For Jessica to say well they’re gonna see it on TikTok so you might as well go with the flow is INSANE. The hosts just sat there nodding along in agreement as if challenging anything she said would mark them with a scarlet letter. This wasn’t a discussion but more like a PSA for gender transition. Just because a trans person says it doesn’t mean its true or you have to agree.
Actual therapist here, licensed and everything, been in the field for a decade or so. The fact of the matters is the individuals who (at least who go public with this) show several signs of having trauma, anxiety, depression, and even narcissistic tendencies that should not be initially ignored. Combine that with the very real statistic that most children that develop mental health issues come from some sort of abuse, instantly stating "OH HE PLAYS WITH DOLLS HE SHOULD BE A GIRL!" is irresponsible parenting. Also completely disagree. "Woke" is virtue signaling/supporting people just because you want to be seen as a "good person". It has nothing to do with education.
I'm too close and too tired to deal with this any longer. You know when I was 8 years old I didn't have a clue what the world held for me. I know now what the critics have for me and it just doesn't seem fair. I never hurt anyone in my life like the world has hurt me. Maybe I'm over emotional but then maybe it really does hurt. This whole issue is going to keep going on even after I'm gone and I feel so badly for the people living with it now. I know one day it will be mainstream and I guess I find comfort in knowing I was a part of that.
