Gotta agree with you on that price. I don't really backpack in a serious fashion, so I'd probably choose a Soto Amicus or Windmaster to save dollars rather than grams.

I have this stove and had it for s few years. Never ever has it let me down. Lights first time. Super light. Super realiable. Decathlon rock.
Great to hear!
@@theoutdoorempire I live in Spain and decathlon stores are everywhere, so I shop there a lot as it's fantastic value for quality gear.

Wow, very kind of you to say, thank you! I'm still figuring things out but having a good time.

Very true. If you don't backpack I think this stove is out of the running altogether.
If you have 2 different 3-prong stoves then Firemaple just put out a UL pot that might suit you.
Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out.
If that's what you consider boiling, good luck with the giardia.
Thanks for the good luck wishes. 😂
I got a cheap stove for $12 on Amazon and it’s lasted me for years now
Good grief I bought that for GBP 10 in the UK and it has a piezo ignition
Daggum. I think that might be the MT500 stove. Also good, but the MT900 doesn't come with a piezo and weighs less.
It's sold by Gerlert, probably no longer available now as I bought it two years back. It's small and light.
I paid lest then that for pr in uk ,only about 50 quid
Really annoying how they charge Americans about 40% more for most of their products compared to Europe.
I’ve had the same msr whisperlite for about 18 years now. It would feel like losing a child if I switch up at this point.
Haha. Keep the kid you love. Don't go buy another.
