HO les jolis crocodiles ! 3 générations de productions Märklin. Krokodil loks. Swiss crocodiles.

Today, I will show you some variations on the theme of " Swiss Crocodiles Be 6/8 and Ce 6/8 in HO" , all these models are produced by Märklin.
Märklin first introduced the Crocodile model, in 00 gauge, in 1947 with reference # CCS 800, a best seller which remained in the catalogue until 1975 under a new reference #3015 ! My model (second in order of appearance in the video) is the variation CCS 800.8, dated 1956. According to the Koll's guide of 2006, its market value now reaches more than 1300 euros, with the original box. The first issue sold 1947 is now valued more than 8000 euros !
The second model produced had reference # 3056, sold from 1976 to 1981. (It is the first one appearing in the video). It is a representation of a Be 6/8 III and bears registration number 13302, the real locomotive is preserved as an historic locomotive by SBB.
The third to fifth models are more recent issues, sold around 1987-1995. They bear serial numbers 14301 (which is a Ce 6/8 III), 13305 and 13304 ( both are Be 6/8 III). The actual locomotives have also been preserved in Switzerland.
The complete set #26730 was sold in 1998 only as a special issue ("Sonderserie").
