I remember after I finished 6th standard, I had to leave school because the building that housed 7th to 10th standard, was not disabled-friendly. Mom had to search the whole of Mumbai city just to find a school who was willing to take me. We saw so many brochures where schools boasted of disability access and basic facilities, but when she visited said schools, they all said no. Finally, we managed to get lucky with one school and got me enrolled there
