  • At last! My next video, this time on wire-wrapping ammonites. It turned out quite long, too, but in the end this is nothing to be shown in a few minutes only. I hope I made all single steps clear! If you still have questions, please don't hesitate to ask me :-)
Is this a beginner's wrap? Hm, I am not sure. I consider myself a beginner in wire-wrapping and came up with this design. In the end, it is all about trial and error, and I guess one can manage to wrap an ammonite this way following this tutorial. Remember that it does not have to be exactly like mine! Be free to add elements or skip them as you like :-) Feel free to stick to this design as close as you want to. Wire-wrapping things of unregular shape like ammonites can be quite a challenge, and you might need to be creative with yours here and there.
    Good luck!
...also, I finally checked how to pronounce "pliers" properly and will (hopefully) say it right in future videos :-D

I'm also happy I found your channel! You explain your design technique so well. When I first saw your design I really wanted to try it and thought oh lordy it's going to be hard...to my surprise you made it so easy to follow. Thank you so much. I can't wait to make one. I'm starting it tonight. Mine is much larger so I'm excited to see how it turns out. You're a great teacher. Much love, happy holidays.
