I’m reading confusing info on soak away crates for septic tank, are they a legal or legal ?
And are septic soak away crates the same design as storm soak away crates
@@normawyke8876 They do not provide the necessary filtration that a correctly installed drainage field does. The British water code of practice, and part H of building control state a drainage field must be used. If you do anything other than a drainage field then you are in breach of general binding rules (requiring you to apply for a permit from the environment agency, who would likely deny a permit for a soakaway.
Can I use the crates for waste water when cleaning my pond filters?
Why do you have to put crates and not leave 100% cavity
Because without crates you would just have a big sceptic pond, but by using crates you can put top soil on top and hide the soakaway below ground level out of sight.
