I have a question!! I’m allergic to Lavender, what should I do about that? Is it ok not to add it or is there a other alternative for it? Thank you soo much!! I love your videos!!!
Katherine I really appreciate your videos. I was messaged by someone I don't think was you that asked me to message them in telegram. If it was you I am sorry for the mistrust. If it was not you please warn your viewers that someone is pretending to be you. Thank you so much and have a blessed day.
Wow!, I’m having problems with my hair and stumble on this video!! Pretty awesome and as a black female that would look for specific hair videos this just confirms race means nothing and we all can benefit from collective information on all types of hair! Well done and will follow up❤️
What we think of as race is just a range of characteristics in the one actual race, the human race. So many things would be better if we all realized that!
My natural hair cure products come primarily from the black women I work with. I even sleep with a silk cap to protect my curls. While genetics do make our hair unique, we can still experience the same problems due to the same issues. So it’s wonderful to have us all contributing this human issue. ❤️❤️❤️
I'm 76 and "found" your channel by accident, looking for something entirely different. I am blown away at your dry hair cleaning and now this! Of course I subbed today and I have thinning hair badly! My age of 76, I just lost 105 pounds (going to 148), and male pattern baldness runs in our family both to men & women. I am going to be making your mixture. I am only living on SS, so I barely make it month to month. I can't even afford giving people I'm subbed to, a coffee! I'm subbed to ALL kinds of decent people that I love and who have helped me, but I could never choose one over another. I'm not sure I can afford the ingredients you need! I didn't look at prices yet! I DO have a quart of coconut organic oil, and a bottle of Jojoba oil. I love the Jojoba oil I put in my hair praying it'll grow new baby hairs! I'm going to watch your 2 videos right now about washing that you just mentioned. THANK YOU! I LOVE your hair!
Also, I noticed some people who wanted shorter videos, but I absolutely love the long ones with all the information and insights. I think it's great that you mentioned the time stamp...that practice for longer you tube videos is so helpful for people whi don't want to watch the whole vid or those who have watched before and just want to review a specific part of the video.
I totally agree!!!! It's the best of both worlds - detailed, inspiring information and a reference for particular parts that I want to hear again. Thank you, Katherine! Looking forward to making this recipe. I've been using the Rhassoul clay you recommended in a prior video. My hair and I are loving it! Also MSM in purified water first thing in the morning;) Have a beautiful day!
They can go on tik tok or RUclips shorts. Seriously I don’t want to sound like that but I believe people like them are going to change RUclips. They are already. They have plenty of platforms to go on for short not in depth entertainment.
@@TracyD2 I agree! I amazes me how many people take google to be The Absolute Authority and just read the very first short reference they pull up - that's gospel now to them. It's just a search engine... It spits out whatever it finds with related words, true or not. If you really want to LEARN you have to put in the time to Read - even online.
😊 I’m a long content girl. I realize that means more filming and editing time for you. It’s because of this I respect and appreciate your work. Thank you.
@@apriltippins198 then don't. Making long videos makes her happy and she has a following who enjoy them. She isn't just a beauty vlogger, she also likes to teach about the history and application. Clearly a passion of hers. I FF thru some parts and re-watch others as needed.
This is a wonderful video! This is a practice that African-Americans use. Scalp oiling is part of our rich culture. It is nice to see other individuals use it. It works. Thank you for sharing your experiences 😊.
I use henna to dye my hair. I stopped to see how long it would take grow an inch of root. It took me 7 months for one inch. I dyed my roots, started using this oil once a week. Leave on for a day and wash out. It only took me 4 months to grow an inch of roots. Definitely works!!! Thank you.
Started my hair journey with your advice in March and now I’ve grown my hair from a little below neckline on a shirt to the middle of my back. I did other things to promote growth but this video changed my hair for the better! Thank you for the new hair and added confidence!
Thanks for sharing. I love regimes! My own hair growth success story, I did the following: 1. Fragrance free Shampoo (like baby shampoo) 2. Taoist soap for hair growth (can buy online) 3. Scalp Massage 20 minutes everyday 4. Nettle leaf tea 2x a day, to remove hormone residue in the liver. 5. Collagen supplement 2x a day 6. Oiling Scalp 2x a week using coconut oil and immortals oil. Can use either. Other than that, I make sure general health is cared for by focusing on balancing insulin. You do this by a lean protein diet with only cooked leafy greens. It's a temporary diet but it resets insulin, after 2 to 3 months you can go back to normal diet, altho it's healthy to be 70% protein and 30% carb diet. My 2 cents...
@@susannahfox7188 Fat will induce an insulin response. When you want to balance hormones medically, they must remove most of fat in the diet, let alone add silly fat like avocado into the diet. I know, because i have fixed people with hormone issues. But what is being mentioned is, nettle will help make it more balanced, not balance it 100%.
I will be 47 this year. And now I have decided that maybe I can grow my hair out that has always been the same length. I've been washing it daily and brushing it wet. Oh boy, I'm going to be a BEAUTIFUL senior!! What the heck, it gives me inspiration.
Your channel is an absolute God's help for me! I've been in a dramatic state of depression after my manopause and losing my job at the same time. Just like what you have experienced, my hair has also been thinning on the back sides (especially the right side) of my head and on the forehead edges. Your step by step explaination was so helpful and inspirational for me to start my baby steps to get my healthy hair back again. Thank you so much Katherine, I really appreciate your kindness for sharing this beneficial knowledge, and may God bless you... 💝🙏💝
Thank you for sharing the recipe with us. It took me 2-3 weeks to gather all the ingredients. I finally made the oil today. Going to wait for 2-3 weeks more and then apply the oil. I was infected twice with covid and lost so much hair for 6 months everytime. Now I'm very excited can't wait to see the results!
I also have had hair thinning as well as my daughter after COVID. My daughter did get really ill and her hair looks like she has had cancer. Really thin. I am going to try the oil. I dont want to let go of shampoo though., Hope it will still work.
@@donnalawrence8593 yes..good doco to recommend, and I don't think people realise the swabs are ethylene coated ..that's what's made them ill mostly not the covid..the "test" isn't for for purpose as Kary Mullis said ( RIP) no need to test full stop..why test for a cold?? I had a bad cold last year..didn't get tested..never been jabd and no muzzle that inhibited my breathing..recovered.. healthy as an ox..
I have been using eggs and bone marrow oil. I soak marrow bones overnight in water and a little salt. Then i rinse them and bake them on a cookie sheet small one thats at least a 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep. Bake 400* for 20 minutes or so until the marrow has been reduced to oil. Cool and apply to roots. Really works well for hair growth. Amla and fenugreek i have used in past and it works wonderfully.
I'm so excited to try this. I'm 64 and my hair is so thin I can see my scalp. My diet is good, so I think it's just my age lol. Sure hope this helps! 😁
Make sure you are getting a large amount of protein too! As we age, we need MORE protein than younger women! Prioritize you protein! How much? If your ideal weight is 140lbs then you should get as close to 140 grams a protein a day as possible:). Good luck!
@@muchasalud2011 I am 69 (will be 70 in May) and I am going to be giving this approach a shot. I have braided my thin hair the last two nights. I was surprised this morning when I took the braids out.....how soft my hair felt. Then I noticed it got drier and drier as the day progressed. Does she say we should keep in the braids in all day too?
I like ur honesty... Nowadays..many vloggers just copy someone's content ..and boast like it's their invention only But u did give a mention and a credit Also u didn't blindly copied...but u personally made a research on the things... Referred to the studies ... And then followed it
Thank you for your lovely video! It was very relaxing and enjoyable to watch. I watch a lot hair growth videos. Tonight I mixed a batch of oil using different ingredients, then sat down to relax, started watching your video and was surprised! The only ingredient I hadn't included in my batch was henna. Otherwise it was all the ingredients you presented in your video. Thrilled. Then to add your comment about using neem oil mixture I used neem and coconut oil several years ago for about 6 weeks. My hair growth was insane!! My normal rate of hair growth per month is 1/4 inch. After six weeks it had grown 1.5". I was so shocked!
Loved this video! My herbal hair growth contains olive oil, cloves (grounded), coffee grounds, fenugreek and msm! I have totally seen a lot of accelerated hair growth from using it. I think I’ll incorporate some of your ingredients 😊😊 thanks for sharing!
I'm really glad to see you using organic herbs in your hair oil. I just want to point out that it's better not to use metal utensils to mix the oil with the herbs as the metal can impact the chemical composition of the herbs. It really is important to use a dark jar or keep it away from light as that also impacts the herbs chemical properties. Since I've been following your previous hair care videos I just wanted to mention it's a bit of a mess to use the clay wash and I find it actually does affect the colour of my hair subtly. I'm fine with that though, just thought I'd mention it. I'll definitely be adding the new ingredients that you have added and can't wait to see the results.
I would also macerate dry herbs for at least 6-8 weeks. Interesting info. As they say, the only thing herbalists agree on is not to use an aluminum pot! :D
I've made the herbal hair oil recipe and also have been using the clay washing. I find I am unable to properly wash out the hair oil with just the clay and have had to continue to use shampoo :O I wonder what the trick is!
Wow……The most Beautifulest hair I have ever seen on this Planet! You are Soooo Blessed! I hardly have hair on my head it’s so thin and it never grows. 😭
New Subbie on the strength of you giving credit to curly proverbs.. That is sooo rare. Btw I agree with hand detangling on dry hair, I really like how you explained it, I've been doing that for years I contribute my length retention to bra strap length. It's been 2 years since I converted my loose natural hair into loc's now tailbone length..
I do find it intriguing! I have coconut oil and olive oil in the kitchen, along with tea tree, lavender, & peppermint essential oils. I’m going to give this concoction a try. I’m starting with shoulder length naturally curly hair. Thank you for sharing.😊
I used to work for an Ayurvedic body oil company in California. I wish they were still making products because they had the best hair oil, herbal body and face clays, pain relief oil, and body oils. Thanks for this recipe! I'll probably try making it, but use some lighter oils because my hair is very low porosity and gets weighed down easily. I'll likely use sesame, jojoba, and coconut, and very little of the castor oil, which is really heavy. I'm sensitive to tea tree oil, so I'll leave that out, but likely add some bhringraj oil and lemongrass ❤️
@@sl4983 they were proprietary. I was never there for the process of combining ingredients because part of the process is the spiritual and meditative environment going on during the making of the oils. The only part I ever did was bottling and labeling. I miss that job! I loved working with the oils and listening to the meditative music they always had.
Long videos are the best. And yours are a delight! I already introduced your other hair teachings to my wavy hair routine and I'm seeing results on my hair health. Gonna try this too.
Marvelous! You do a great job at explaining the process adding the “why” and “how” and the metaphors are spot on. Thank you for sharing this and thank you for crediting Curly Proverbz. I love both of your channels! 💗💕❤️ Happy New Year! 🎈🎊🎆
So call Indian vloggers should learn from you, finally i found someone speak sense.... As long as my mother took care of my hair by oiling everyday, brushing and up do everyday, she use to wash my hair once in a week with natural shampoo made of soap nuts, my hair health was super good, but i was treated as some village girl, i got insecure and started using bottled shampoo and conditioner and styling products, i almost went bald with a neckline hair length which looks irritating when i bend down my neck.... After watching your videos and following your routine i grew 2 inches already. More power to you
It was only white women in modern day that wasn’t doing this practice . Other groups never stopped and actually were often bullied by white people for such practices. I really appreciate that you gave credit to those you learned from. Very rare. Your hair is beautiful.
Thanks so much for your recipe and info. This year, I've been doing baking soda with an ACV rinse, but am excited to try the clay you mention in your other video. (I tried bentonite clay, but am excited about a clay that is moisturizing.) But you're right; we've lost these methods of care and that's a big sore spot with me. I wrote a book a few years back that discussed, in one section, how we lost these traditional methods of cleaning, bathing, even feeding ourselves and it was all based on a shift to "scientific" (ie, chemical) products coming on the market 150 years ago. I'm so happy to see people returning to traditional wisdom! Thank you for sharing your routine and everything you've learned.
When you use the soda and vinegar on your hair. Did you notice it getting a lighter color? Because mine went from jet black to kind of a reddish brown and got much thinner and started breaking even though I use oils and really good conditioners. The reason I started using the soda and the vinegar. Is I get dandruff from anything modern. And when you have super long hair that's past your rear. It is really hard to get the scalp rinsed if you don't have a normal living situation. I have a hard time runs in my scalp. In the summer it's easier in the winter it's almost impossible to wash my hair. I'm curious how long you've used those two together and if you noticed any difference in color. I've met two people that it's lighten their hair also. It certainly not lightened in a good way. It lightened because it was stripped and it weakened it. Maybe i'm doing something wrong?
Thank you so much for taking time to give all this information and break it all down and not charging for it!!! To me, this is how someone else really helps others and I feel that you are very loving and caring to help those in need🙏🥰 many blessing to you
I made my oil using most of the ingredients since I already had them, and now I’ve just applied it all for the first time. I think my hair is going to love this, since my texture is very similar to yours. I’m laughing at myself in the mirror, sporting my shower cap. This will be a daytime thing for me because I work at home and it doesn’t matter what I look like!
I followed most of what you had on your first hair video. I wash with the clay and rinse with vinegar and aloe vera. I take the sulfur you told us about and I finger detangle. My hair is really improving. The ends look good and my husband says it is getting thicker and it is on my shoulder now. Started with chin length hair. Thanks so much. It looks like I might get long hair after all. Oh and the hair is turning back black.
@@annareneesquires I don't know. I'm 64 years old and my hair was completely white and now it is turning back black like my hair was when I was young. No, I stopped dying my hair. It was just too hard and the hairdressers where I live think purple is black. So I just stopped coloring my hair for years now.
@@amyfrank well that is awesome! So as we age we lose melin striping the color from our hair. What about your DNA? Did that happen to your family members?
Great video!!! Thanks so very much. I will add your oil to my routine. One tip: cloves! Great for nutrition and aroma. Helps to neutralize the smell of other oils that are not as great. I also take it internally as antioxidant (in teas).
@@Rosapixel hahahahaha! That’s great! And the smell is pleasant. Read about Rooibos tea. There are several readings about drinking this tea for hair and youthful skin.
I learned that Detangling should start at the bottom, at the end of the hair and than work your way up. Otherwise you press the tangles in and around eachother and that gives bigger knots. Thank you for sharing your life here❤
Wow! I made this oil last night and it is seeping. Yes, I know it isn't ready yet, but today, since it is hair washing day, I put a little of the oil on my scalp knowing it isn't ready, but wow, even after less than 24 hours it has a warming effect on my scalp. Now I can't wait for two weeks. I'll probably try some next week also, and then after the two weeks I will strain and add some essential oil. I'm really excited for the finished product. Thanks for sharing! ❤
I love this and I will say these are wonderful to use if you are the experimental type. If your hair is dark already and are looking to keep it dark, this is usually why women would choose this, also if you’re looking into something that probably works, but nothing is tested on multiple people, so you can strand test and patch test if you’re being careful. Finding out a lot about the source of the henna so there is no chance of lead contamination. There is no guarantee how easy this is to use for each person and maybe more difficult to remove for some. I would omit ingredients that are darkening or too invigorating for some, if that’s what you’re looking for. I would normally recommend leaving in no longer than three hours because I have seen hair loss with oils staying in too long and clogging the hair follicles. That being said make sure all the oils are removed afterwards, and only use heavy oils in the summer like coconut oil,and lighter oils like jojoba in the winter. Brands like Aveda are there for the people who are looking for something for something that is proven results, but maybe someone who doesn’t have success with natural home remedies. They use things like salicylic oils from wintergreen that absorbs and doesn’t need to be rinsed out. Remember our diet/ lifestyle/ health is what grows the hair from within, outer controls are products/ no heat/ hairstyles braiding usually/ and moisture content. Using water as an immediate hair moisturizer and humidifiers for the home, and getting hair wet when it seems to be dry breaking, also not brushing with anything but boar bristle brushes only when dry not too dry, and not too wet. Gentle while sleeping or harsh climates!
Hi katherine! Thank you for the recipe ! I started massaging my neck, shoulders, and scalp along with the other routines! Thank you for all you do! Currently my hair is over my shoulders. Im excited to see my hair a year from now! Best, jo
Yes!!! Going to try. I’ve been using all these herbs, though separately. I may add qing hao essential oil and manjishta powder. C19 caused 50% hair loss, but getting back to thicker than ever. Excited to try. Thank you!
I did a treatment while watching this just with what I had on hand from the list! I love this…now I’m hoping you will someday dive into historical skin care and even diet/schedule/lifestyle! When your first hair video came out my daughter (9) and I changed our hair routine and I’ve already seen my daughters hair respond! Thank you! Btw, the clay washes may not be able to be used in homes with septic tanks 💔
I wondered if the clay could clog drains. Has anyone used clay on silver gray hair? Does it affect or dull the color. I want to keep my lovely silver although very thin hair.
I cannot believe that you are giving away all this valuable knowledge for free! You hair is pure GORGEOUSNESS, your knowledgeable is unprecedented and you are so generous. THANK YOU! I have discovered you only 2 days ago and cannot stop watching your videos now. I was ignorant my whole life about hair, all along believing that hair is just - either you are born with good hair genes or not! But, now you have showed me the light. THANK YOU.
Good video! Coconut oil has a rather low melting point. You can sit it in a sunlit window sill and it will melt. Coconut oil will even melt if you leave it in a hot room or hot car.
You mentioned coconut oil of wish I have on hand and you also mentioned Jojoba oil which I use in my natural incensus and proper remixes so I already have something to start with
Hi I love your videos, and I recently subscribed to your channel. I have a Morracain friend, that does oil/scalp treatments on her hair. She uses Olive, Coconut, or Avocado. Sometimes she will use Morracain Oil. She also does a Onion Treatment! Yes Onions!! Lol She'll take a 1/2 an onion, chop it up fine and apply it to her scalp. I know this is weird, BUT She has the most beautiful long dark hair. I know this works!! Keep up the great videos.. See you in the new year..2023 😁
@gökotta Yes, my mother told me her grandmother would do garlic treatments on her hair and scalp. She said she would brush it, and braid it for her at night before bed. Thick luscious hair, even in her 80's. She used a natural homemade soap to wash her hair.
I just ordered most of the ingrediënts here in my country. I cannot wait to try this recipe out! I have been using argan and castor oil on my hair for a few years now and I am very happy with how they benefit my hairhealth overall. So i am excited to see how all the other ingrediënts might help my hair and scalp even more! 😊 Thank you for sharing your findings and recipe!!
PLEASE keep the long videos 🙏🙏🙏🙏 If people need to look at something specific they can use the timestamps lolololol The long videos provide so much good info
I started incorporating Ayurvedic herbs and oil around 8/9 years ago. I started watching Suhshmitas diaries and an Italian channel call Beautilicious delight by Rozalia Chiru. I always had long beautiful hair like you. It was one of the things I was known for until I started dying my gray and heat styling at the age of 45. My hair could not grow past my collarbone anymore and it was broken all over. I stopped the heat and dye my hair with henna and indigo. Every time I get lazy and dye my roots with chemicals. Oh man do I suffer. My hair is long shiny and thriving again. 10/10 recommend what this lady is saying.
My hair has been nothing but a battle. It's fine curly hair. My hair sheds a lot, and I've noticed my hairline receding. Due to ponytails. I'm so inspired. I just went ahead and bought everything. I hope this works, and I'll be doing weekly pictures. To see how this goes. Thank you so much. Week 1: Hair has a softer texture. Henna does not dye hair, I know, because I have little strands of gray in my brown hair. Week 2: hair almost has a silky texture, I see baby hair growing, but too soon to tell if it'll grow any longer. Hair has slightly stopped falling out but still excessive. Note: Once a week i use treatment on friday after work, saturday i shampoo and condition with ice cold water. Hair does not seem to be growing, but again, too soon to tell.
If you have grey or white hair, don't add the Henna - it does react, even in oil. Ask me how I know :) Too soon to tell if it will help my hair to grow, but it's certainly a fun experiment.
Ok so I have been using Henna for over 15 years. Henna steeped in oil will NOT stain your hair any shade of red or orange. For Henna to have dye release you have to mix it with water and let it dye release (typically about 12 hrs). Oil will not cause the dye in henna to release.
Neem oil is one of the most important ingredients in the dog soap recipe I use for my little pup with major skin allergies and inflammation. It’s addition to the recipe was the best idea I ever had! It does have a very unusual and strong scent which is why I don’t add it to my human hair care line, but I may l May have to give it a try now. In the pet bar we saw amazing results quickly
Love this so much thank you I only made mine yesterday after all my ingredients arrived apart from rosemary and lavender oil but they'll get here soon so I figured I'd give it all time to infuse together. I added a little bit of green teaseed oil Jamaican black seed and rosehip oil to as I had some on hand they're all good for hair and skin rosehip is amazing full of vitamins! I feel like I'm farming lmao putting high quality compost on my soil for healthy plant growth 😌
Please definitely make a video about hair shedding. In the last year or two, all of my hair seems to be breaking just after the root. It's thinned SOOO MUCH... I used to have a full head of luscious beautiful long hair. Now it's just a frizzy disaster that seems to be thinning by the day. Even though I started using Mulberry silk pillowcases and other stuff too. I used to wash my hair every day, which I realize is very bad. Thanks to one of your other videos, I've now been able to stretch it out to once a week. It still feels really gross. I got all the ingredients to do the clay wash. I just need to actually start doing it. Thanks for the content. Really hope I can get this to work...
My hair goes down to my butt and I also am 100% DIY and use a lot of Ayurveda oils, herbs, and powders. I had a big shedding problem too and realized coffee and being too dehydrated was causing it. My hair routine helped as well but you should also investigate your diet. I also discovered my follicles are very sensitive to my hair being pulled in one direction for extended periods of time. I avoid repeated ponytails, buns, etc. I also don't tie my hair up at night in a ponytail. I wrap it in a silk scarf but my hair at the root is tension free. Good luck.
Sounds like mineral deficiencies. I guess zinc is the first one to think about. As someone said before it is crucial to check your diet. When it breaks so soon after grown out of the scalp, it seems impossible to me that it could only be caused by direct external factors on your hair e.g. shampoo, heating, washing hair too often etc.
@@adelaidaa2568 oh wow. I'm new to all this. Thank you for that. I'll start taking some. I did start taking multivitamin like a month ago or so. But wouldn't be surprised if I ever said anything
Thank you so much. I am so excited to try this recipe out, as I have been searching for something amazing. My hair is thinning and I want to improve my hairs all round health. Will let you know how I get on. 🌟💐⭐
I'm relatively new to natural hair care: about a month in using baking soda and acv. Yes'm, it was your first video recently that spurred me into this. I have straight hair so I tweaked and researched for my budget and situation. I'm working out the bugs of timing, etc., but I'm actually loving this process! While watching this video I was thinking of other people who could benefit from this recipe. My husband has serious dandruff and a couple spots that blister and sometimes "scale" on his head. My 86 the old mom has always had extremely thick hair until covid last year. Her hair is noticeably, drastically thinner. My eldest daughter has mentioned excessive hair fall out since getting over covid, too. So! I think I'll be procuring these ingredients and making my own as well as gifts. Thank you!
I would watch the Green Beauty Channel here on RUclips about ACV and baking soda hair wash. Baking soda is not the best to use on your hair especially longer term. Clay or Ayurvedic herbs such as Shikikai and soap nuts amongst others are much better for hair and scalp.
@@TracyD2 , thank ye, M'am! I'll look that up. I'm actually looking for something sustainable that I can have on hand...say, if I were not able to visit a grocery store regularly. Unless I could use a local clay....I'd rather not have to purchase it. I reckon I need to do more research.
The COVID thing is legit!!! I had so much hair fall out after COVID that I was scared I was gonna go bald!! I got a lot more diligent about my vitamins and went to an even more natural hair care routine. The hair fall finally stopped and I was so relieved. Then I had like this weird frizz halo as the new growth came in.
Within the first 5 to 10 minutes of the video I gave you a thumbs up. : ) You gave credit to the RUclipsr curly proverbs and I think this shows that you are a genuine person. Keep up the good work.
My sisters and I have just started your hair care routine, I just got done mixing a batch of your oil and I plan on using the clay today! Your hair is stunning and I am excited to see where this takes me! Thank you 💜🏵
I have done this for 6 months without the MSM or rosemary (I used peppermint and thyme as well as curry leaves, flaxseed oil, brahmi, indigo, tulsi in addition to the amla and henna) and it has worked well to thicken my hair and increase length without shedding. I have now started adding MSM and lavender so I will let you know the difference....I believe the msm will be key.
Hi, I found this video about a month ago. I just made your recipe and am hopeful that my hair grows and becomes healthier. Thank you for this video. I made sure and ordered everything from your links. Have a blessed day😊🙏🏼💕
Katherine, I’ve enjoyed all of your videos and I’m really appreciative of your knowledge and expertise. I am currently taking MSM, but I am unsure of the amount or dosage I need to take. I am experiencing gobs of hair loss , nail problems, I think due to aging. I like the holistic approach and I always have. My one regret , is not practicing this avenue earlier in my life. Should you give me a much awaited response, thank you so very much. You are truly a gem in this rat race world. Sincerely, Claudette
For nails I give my son zinc tablets jemmison brand he saw improvements it 2wks time MSM does helps with joints pain too and hair I started MSM I think it's helping sometimes if our body needs iron our hair drops out from the roots I could say that's facts but when u suffer from high BP iron does raise it so that's Y I don't take vitamins with iron in it so I try a multi vitamin with little iron and girl in 1 wk my hair stop falling out when i pull it not comming out but I'll have to take a little more I am afraid of iron b4 my blood get too thivk
I was taking MSM for several months, and I noticed a lot of hair growth. Then, one day, I took internal MSM I had been previously taking, and I had a random anxiety attack. I stopped taking it about 2 weeks, then took it again and immediately got another anxiety/panic attack. My hair fell out due to the over stimulation, and I threw out my MSM. It's not natural and does more harm than good, long-term.
Wow, I'm so glad the algorithm put your channel into my view! 13 years ago, before I started riding a bicycle as main transportation, my hair was where I've always preferred it, down to my mid back and lush and curly. It got shorter and shorter until the winter before last when I didn't do much but wake up and put on a hat every day. Since a year ago last February I've been trying to get it to grow back, but didn't realize that the wide tooth comb I've been using was not great, even anathema to getting back my mane. Dry finger with oil, WOW! I break almost zero strands that way, and using the oil really speeds up the process so I don't just get impatient and go for the comb. Just today, found your channel yesterday, I talked to a barista whose hair is waist length and she said she hasn't even had a brush or a comb in 10 years, and told me that my fingers would be plenty. Thanks again! So glad to know better how to get my mane back and not keep breaking the new growth by dragging a comb through it.
I just want to say that coconut oil can make some peoples hair feel stiff. You can use MCT oil, which is a broken down coconut oil that has a lot of health benefits. Might want to check out black seed oil too. It does have a...unique odor, but there are a bunch of studies from japan.
very nice explanation. i am 47 and perimenopause and menopause is really messing up my hair. i used to have really long and thick hair for 30 plus years and it has now become soooo thin and dry and less hydrated. i will definitely try this oil
I am so excited to try this! It is wildly informative! It fits right in with my holistic leaning lifestyle my desire to be more minimalist and easier on the earth, and my interest in historical practices. It boggles my mind the amount of knowledge we have discarded for a "better" way. Thank you for making these haircare videos. I really feel our society is feeling a strong pull away from consumerism and wanting to get back to a more natural self/earth provided life. Another thing I have been wondering, and hoping to learn about is the difference between footwear now vs historic footwear. Modern shoes don't fit my feet well, and cause pain. How comfortable were shoes back then? I am eager to check out your shoe making videos to see if you might answer this question even though I seriously doubt if I could make my own shoes. Perhaps you will change my perspective on that as much as you have changed my perspective on my hair care. Cheers!

@@ariannedechateaumichel7777 I believe most of the population believes this. Its the liberal politicians who push racism to keep us divided.

Thanks so much for your comment! Plain oils can also be lovely to use in your hair and very effective as well!
This! I love details!! Long videos are wonderful, but many times I need to reference a particular point. This is invaluable 💕
Thanks for your positive feedback ❤
I totally agree!!!! It's the best of both worlds - detailed, inspiring information and a reference for particular parts that I want to hear again. Thank you, Katherine! Looking forward to making this recipe. I've been using the Rhassoul clay you recommended in a prior video. My hair and I are loving it! Also MSM in purified water first thing in the morning;) Have a beautiful day!

1. Fragrance free Shampoo (like baby shampoo)
2. Taoist soap for hair growth (can buy online)
3. Scalp Massage 20 minutes everyday
4. Nettle leaf tea 2x a day, to remove hormone residue in the liver.
5. Collagen supplement 2x a day
Very difficult to balance insulin without animal fat.....or monounsaturated fat, like avocados. See Dr. Jason Fung - diabetes specialist in Canada.

Good luck!
Might want to try taking kelp tablets, too. Too many of us don't get enough iodine in our diet and I understand iodine deficiency can cause hair loss.

Hi Michelle, How much of each of these ingredients do you use?
Thanks.
I find I am unable to properly wash out the hair oil with just the clay and have had to continue to use shampoo :O

Can you link the clay video ?

I have discovered you only 2 days ago and cannot stop watching your videos now. I was ignorant my whole life about hair, all along believing that hair is just - either you are born with good hair genes or not! But, now you have showed me the light. THANK YOU.
I would love a skin care video. You have gorgeous skin :)
Yessss a channel with info on hair products that might help my hair grow 💝
I definitely feel inspired to try this hair oil!!!! Thank you so much!
i have alopecia and going to try this recipe for my own hair growth journey. thank you so much.
Thank you for all of this great information!
Thank you! Will try soon and I will follow-up 😊🙏
No magic, just the beauty of nature. Thanks for another great video!
Good video! Coconut oil has a rather low melting point. You can sit it in a sunlit window sill and it will melt. Coconut oil will even melt if you leave it in a hot room or hot car.
You mentioned coconut oil of wish I have on hand and you also mentioned Jojoba oil which I use in my natural incensus and proper remixes so I already have something to start with
I like the way she explain and am going to start using the mixture and see my hair grow am eager to use it ❤️💯
Hi
I love your videos, and I recently subscribed to your channel.
I have a Morracain friend, that does oil/scalp treatments on her hair.
She uses Olive, Coconut, or Avocado. Sometimes she will use Morracain Oil.
She also does a Onion Treatment! Yes Onions!! Lol
She'll take a 1/2 an onion, chop it up fine and apply it to her scalp.
I know this is weird, BUT
She has the most beautiful long dark hair.
I know this works!!
Keep up the great videos..
See you in the new year..2023
😁
Onion and I've heard of garlic infused oil too. Gets your scalp right.
@gökotta
Yes, my mother told me her grandmother would do garlic treatments on her hair and scalp. She said she would brush it, and braid it
for her at night before bed. Thick luscious hair, even in her 80's.
She used a natural homemade soap to wash her hair.
Onions are high in Sulfur
I just ordered most of the ingrediënts here in my country. I cannot wait to try this recipe out! I have been using argan and castor oil on my hair for a few years now and I am very happy with how they benefit my hairhealth overall. So i am excited to see how all the other ingrediënts might help my hair and scalp even more! 😊 Thank you for sharing your findings and recipe!!
PLEASE keep the long videos 🙏🙏🙏🙏
If people need to look at something specific they can use the timestamps lolololol
The long videos provide so much good info
Thank you for a very educational video and giving credit to Curley Proverbz.
Any progress?
@christli3959 I got everything yesterday. Used it, My hair definitely feels softer, but it's too soon to tell.
Can you tell us any more updates?
I have fine curly hair also. Lots of hair fall.
I just ordered the ingredients (that I don’t already have) and I’ll be able to get started tomorrow! I’m very excited!
If you have grey or white hair, don't add the Henna - it does react, even in oil. Ask me how I know :) Too soon to tell if it will help my hair to grow, but it's certainly a fun experiment.
My hair (was) dark brown but many hairs turning white has lightened it. Should I not use henna? I am 59 yrs young.
@@channahrose probably not. Has a definite ginger tone to it, which purple shampoo deals to. 🤭
What does the henna do to gray or white hair?
@@sonyaperkins627 turns it ginger. I used purple shampoo to tone it back down.
Ok so I have been using Henna for over 15 years. Henna steeped in oil will NOT stain your hair any shade of red or orange. For Henna to have dye release you have to mix it with water and let it dye release (typically about 12 hrs). Oil will not cause the dye in henna to release.
Yay! Curly Proverbz is suuuch a gem
Thank you for your generosity ! (from France )
Hare Krishna 🙏
I JUST watched your other video on long hair and had to watch more !
Thank you for the detailed tutorial.
Good luck.
Check out the relaxing hair growth videos on RUclips
May I recommend that you stop using shampoo at all? Maybe try just water washing and an apple cider vinegar rinse....
WoW ! This is GREAT !
Thank You.
Within the first 5 to 10 minutes of the video I gave you a thumbs up. : ) You gave credit to the RUclipsr curly proverbs and I think this shows that you are a genuine person. Keep up the good work.
I just made my own batch today! So excited can’t wait till it’s ready to use!
Hello
Did it work?
This is wonderful. Thank you for sharing! Can you do a skincare video as well?
Planning on it in the near future! ❤
Wow, thanks for adding links for us Canucks! (Canadians 🇨🇦😊)
My sisters and I have just started your hair care routine, I just got done mixing a batch of your oil and I plan on using the clay today! Your hair is stunning and I am excited to see where this takes me! Thank you 💜🏵
Excellent video. We've been using similar concoctions for hair treatments in India for literally 1000s of years.
For nails I give my son zinc tablets jemmison brand he saw improvements it 2wks time
MSM does helps with joints pain too and hair I started MSM I think it's helping sometimes if our body needs iron our hair drops out from the roots I could say that's facts but when u suffer from high BP iron does raise it so that's Y I don't take vitamins with iron in it so I try a multi vitamin with little iron and girl in 1 wk my hair stop falling out when i pull it not comming out but I'll have to take a little more I am afraid of iron b4 my blood get too thivk
It does have a...unique odor, but there are a bunch of studies from japan.
good tip about the MCT! did not think of it.
very nice explanation. i am 47 and perimenopause and menopause is really messing up my hair. i used to have really long and thick hair for 30 plus years and it has now become soooo thin and dry and less hydrated. i will definitely try this oil
I thought this recipe was familiar I appreciate you giving CURLYPROVERBZ her props. 😊
Cheers!
I have been doing your Hair Care my for a few months and my hair growing is Heather. I Will Try the herbal oil treatment thank u
