Welcome Dawn Edwards of Felt So Right!
Marie and Dawn are together in the studio filming a course for the International Felt Maker's Association. Their three-part series "Sampling for Success" tasks them with creating 1 oz sample vessels over a 7 inch resist.
In this video, Dawn Edwards of Felt So Right demonstrates how to create the cracked mud technique on her sample vessel. The cracked mud adds texture and visual interest to the vessel and makes a striking impression on a small piece.
The full Sampling for Success series with additional video content and wet felting resist templates is available on FeltingTutorials.com: feltingtutorials.com/course/s...

Take away: there are different techniques to felting, it is the end result that matters.
Very excited to use the silk paper I recently made, which was inspired by Wyoming sunsets. These would be a lovely house warming welcome gift to new neighbors moving into a neighborhood.

Dawn is such a lovely teacher and the vessel is beautiful! I am going to try to use the techniques shown this week on Oui yogurt jars. I hate to throw those out, even for recycling, because they are just so cute. I just have to figure out what size circle resist I’ll need to use.
