@@TravelWithChef Chef, please do not use plastic cookware. You are using plastic plates for steaming (boiling water produces steam with very high heat) which will melt and leach micro-particles of plastic (which you cannot see) into the food that is very harmful to health.

Hi I am not sure about that flour, ordinary rice flour is fine, however you can try using the mentioned flour if you wish, to see if the results are good. I used Erawan Flour which is made in Thailand 👍
The rice packet you used was a red printed one .In our supermarket same kind of rice packet is available but the print is green. Can I use the it to make string hoppers
Chef I used the same brand flour (green packet) it after steamed it was like rubber... Why is that. They sell plain flour by saying rice flour...or Have I done something wrong... Its very sticky

Hi Sriyani as I said in video I cannot give an exact measurement since different flour requires different amounts of water. My advice is to add sufficient water until the comsistency seen in the video is reached. I also used the whole packet...Thanks Edit: In my future videos I will be listing the ingredients, thank you for the valuable feedback

I have the same question because the packet says to add cold water. I made with cold water, but the string hoppers were a little dry. We are in a cooler climate here in the USA. So. May be warm water will do the trick? 🤔

Once you boiled the water leave for uncoverfor 10 /15 minutes then you add the water in to flour

I prefer always rice flour .But you can use plain flour ..before you use that, need to steam the flour around 30 minutes ,
