@@jld9107it's mainly for the smaller jobs, rubbish fires, car fires, people shut in lifts etc. so they can have the main appliance for the persons reported or risk of life jobs
@@westmidlands_emergency the BRVs are junk as well mate. Why limit yourself when a fire engine can respond to any incident. It’s all about reducing staff numbers and cuts
I completely agree@@fire20p2 BRV's have such a limited scope as to what they can attend especially during times of spate conditions. For me a regular Pumping Appliance with at least a 300 Gallon Water Tank and a 9m Ladder should be the minimum in an inner city environment. If it's the standard for LFB then it should be the standard for all two appliance stations in other metropolitan Brigades. I remember WMFS stating that they were rating as excellent in operations. Whoever gave them that rating must have been smoking some funny cigarettes. That is no reflection on the firefighter - just those who aren't providing them with proper resources for the job.
@fire20p2. When I was with a certain Welsh Brigade, our then Deputy CFO's decided to purchase Rural Response Pumps (have a look, they're on RUclips). They replaced our second pumps. Once kitted out, they were over their plated weight. Hence kit was removed, two of the four BA sets included in being removed. Not fit to be in service.
nice car. good video in the heavy traffic
Thanks, Birmingham city traffic can be awful!
Wonder how they're finding it in place of the their 2nd..
There's definitely some expected ups and downs, but all will be revealed in 6 months time at the end of the trial!
@@FP05 My pessimistic view is that once the finance people see how much cheaper a sprinter is operate, the trial will be a 'success' regardless..
Embarrassing turning up to a job in that😢

If this is the future of the UK fire service I want to get off. How the third largest FRS has this on the run is embarrassing and shocking!
Great video mate
Thanks!
When i was there me and the two crew members from highgates were joking around calling it a ambulance and icecream van😂
"The ice cream van" is a popular name for it among crews so I've heard! 😂
@@FP05 nah switch the sirens with the icecream van bell😂
I know Heathrow has 2 of these not sure how long they have had them though
Heathrow have had theirs for about 3 years now (on a newer sprinter cab)
@@FP05 Interesting good to know
What the hell was that black car with L plates on doing moving?
If that person is teaching others to drive then god help um.
I agree . No situational awareness whatsoever .
What a heap of junk, replacing fire engines with these types of vehicles, absolutely ridiculous
We still have many PRL'S plus its better as the BRV toyota hillux are getting old

So... Who's got the Iveco 😂
The Iveco is currently at Walsall, both appliances will be rotating around every 2 months
