Fantastic Mike! I'm looking forward to seeing some brass chips fly and the making of your first screw!

Thanks Dayton! I received my Crocker style graver jig, and I think it will do the trick holding the HSS steel bars so I can make better gravers. The 'first try' video is coming soon so stay tuned!

Hi Jimmy, thanks! Once you have a tool you get into a mindset of all the things you can (or wish you could) do with it. 😁

I am glad you got it going Mike! My lathe did not come with a motor. I had to buy a sewing machine motor which worked and also came with a foot pedal speed control. It does not reverse so I have to flip the belt loop on the pulley when I need to reverse.

Hi John! I didn't have high hopes for this motor, and I know people commonly replace them. But so far I am very happy with its performance! I like your solution for reversing… Very clever!

Cool! Tools. I see tools. I recently traded a watch that I had to a cool Auteur quartz watch that seems to have oil or water under the crystal with Norman from the channel Killing time with Norman. Check it out. Believe it or not, I wasn’t able to unscrew the caseback with the tools I own. So I ordered a „professional“ desk stand case opener. The cheaper Chinese one. Bergeon costs $800. The Chinese one costs $80. Even that is more than the watch is worth. But I want it to be running and looking good. Oh and I also ordered a bezel remover because I think this is the only way to really get to the crystal. I think we can call this a tool chain reaction. 😀🕐⚙️🍸

Pretty cool that you traded your watch! I have thought about getting a knock off Watch back opener. Did you get yours yet? You'll have to check back and let me know how you like it!

@@WatchWithMike The caseback opener is on it’s way and will arrive next week. I will inform you if it does the trick as soon as I can.
