This is the one track in ACC I've stayed away from because I don't really know it. Thank you for the great reference guide Yorkie. Hugely helpful - much appreciated.
Changing the vantage point from one side to the other and in different direction makes for a confusing understanding of the track, I was trying to find the direction of the car before I could focus on your tips. Great info here but as a suggestion I would keep the camera pointing more in the direction of the track... 🤘🏻
Thanks for highlighting that and providing the feedback. It's something that I had thought about a couple of times as it can be a little difficult to get the right angle to provide the info needed as well. Shall consider the angle more for future episodes.
@@Yorkie065 If you did a video in like freecam (I assume thats how you got the pictures) then paused on each corner so the camera follows the track, it would be so much easier
I honestly thought I would always be someone that used the visual racing line. Since I started watching your guides I’ve ditched the racing line and my times and track knowledge has improved significantly. Keep it up mate!
Really enjoying these in-depth track guides, they make a big difference to us new drivers so we can get more fun out of driving these cars and tracks, thanks Yorkie for your effort in bringing them to us,appreciate your work.
Was trying to find that time I knew I could get, and have at it, watch the old favourite Yorkie; and you learn those few corners you needed work on. Finally hit the low 1:55.XXX 💙
This helped a TON. Always kinda liked Paul Ricard despite all the hate of the popular opinion, but i never felt i had a good understanding of it. I watched this video, and decided to do a hotlapping session after it with the GT-R, which i never use. 8 laps in and I got a 1:55.962, which is really good for me!
This track is why Project CARS decided against pits! All joking aside, thanks for another track guide. My next race is here, so this is helpful once again.
Great track guide!!! Probably a silly question but it is almost like on the hotlap the driver's head moves so you can see more of the corner. How is this done?
So I use TrackIR 5 which is a head tracking device. There is however a 'Look To Apex' feature with the helmet camera in the game, which you can adjust a few settings for in the Game Options.
@@Yorkie065 good job though :) just one request for future guides: could you add an arrow for the direction, i sometimes have some trouble with the perspective (you´re showing corners from different angles, which is nice mind you), so it takes me a while to identify into which direction the track goes and i´ll miss parts of the explanation :D
I really like your track guides and your style but unfortunately this track is so bad with its red and blue lines that unless you really remember the circuit it's hard to tell, my suggestion is either an additional line showing the racing line along with the braking points, mainly for sector 3, and some shots inside the car
Great stuff thanks very helpful, always hated this track watching and still find it unpleasant to drive, the stripes everywhere are just so distracting and hard on the eyes.
Yeah, need to be a bit careful as although the radius of the corner isn't that bad and the pit lane does open up a bit before you get the limiter line, it is still very tight.

Those blue spirals makes a person's brain swing
Ignore the blue swirls lol, look everywhere else!
I know the F1 lay out new to this track.

@@Yorkie065 cool! Very useful guides, will only get better I'm sure!
Same here Yorkie, if I didn't know the track I'd have no clue if it's left or right curb.
indeed

Im learning all these tracks in the order of your video uploads
Sheesh.. By far the best track guide I've seen.. Now I know where I'm looking for other tracks from now on. Thanks Yorkie

You're most welcome!
I love you man. Your guide for PC2 made huge difference with me. And I am happy to see the same with ACC🙏🌹❤️🥰🤩
I love you too bro! :)
Thanks, really enjoy your ACC track guides so far! Paul Ricard can be disorienting at times and this really helps! Keep it up!
Thanks! Glad you liked it
Tks Yorkie as always a great reference your videos to learn a track !

Very nice! Keep pushing and seeing if you can knock off more time!
Man my best was 1:59, I hope this vid will help me.
These Guides are Amazing Thank you,I'm in NA but being put in EU servers as of late and Paul Richard is the CP Race Tonight This should help/
Best track guide out there. Great work!
Excellent guide, mate. Invaluable advice as always.
Fantastic stuff. Thanks for your efforts on these.
This track is why Project CARS decided against pits! All joking aside, thanks for another track guide. My next race is here, so this is helpful once again.
After a few laps when all these cones are gone, i'm going to drive every possible track configuration. The blue stripes even make it worse.
Amazing content!
thanks bro!
Great track guide!!! Probably a silly question but it is almost like on the hotlap the driver's head moves so you can see more of the corner. How is this done?
Thanks for the kind words. It's not a silly question as I get it a fair bit. I use TrackIR which is tracking my head movement and putting it in game.
Great videos, my go to videos for our discord server (link on our page 😜)
Question! Maybe dumb, but still... How do you make your cam to look into the corner? Is this something i can setup in ACC? It seems useful
THANX

I just got here right after my miserable first competitve race at this track. It said random track and it picked this track lmao
Cool car that GT-R
thanks for that... still hating Paul Ricard (well, the track, don´t know the guy really :D )
It's not for everyone, but I tried lol

What's the ideal lap time/race pace for a win in this track?
Id like to know too. Best Ive done in the Por991GT is 2:07 and I dont think I can go much faster

Don't look at the stripes, look at the track ;)
Too many much better tracks to spend my time on
Paul Ricard is like French Nurburgring GP
Can you just drive through the track and tell us the braking zones ? Find that much easier to follow
First time i did CP Race and we had to pit i didn't practice it and almost Died turning in there
Yeah, need to be a bit careful as although the radius of the corner isn't that bad and the pit lane does open up a bit before you get the limiter line, it is still very tight.
Mintstral straight 😂
The lack of brake markers really sucks
Birds eye panoramic views n description missing. Most important for mental picture . Disliked.
