If you're curious about the creepers, when a creeper has an effect and it explodes, in the area that it exploded will be the effects as if a lingering potion was thrown, hence why lynix became invisible.
there's mods for command hotkeys, you could set that up so you can make the transition for the gamemode switcher easier (and toggling vanish easier too)
