Living in Kolkata for a summer (from America) this was playing in the background at a cafe, 4 minutes into it, my ears finally perked up like ‘what is this!?’ Thank god for Shazam in that moment because I discovered one of my favorite bands!

Honestly, this music feels representative of the India I grew up in. Heard pcrc first in Baked webseries and had the chance to see them live halfway across - in Paris. What a hugely talented group, I hope they go places.

The epitome of cool. I once spent a heady weekend on the rooftops of Amsterdam. I was reflecting on life at the frosty start of winter in a whiskey barrel hot tub with this record playing on my bluetooth speaker. A procession passed in the streets beneath and the air was clouded with steam. I bopped my head and let the world glide by, as I listened to the new school sound of Delhi Jazz.
It is impossible to find the words to represent the emotions that music can create because music elicits feelings that arise prior to thought. It is this gap between experience and thought that music penetrates. It is this gap that allows the listener to transcend their environment and dissolve into a world beyond description, all before returning within an instant. Like all classics, Portrait of a Time is another realisation of the potential of human expression. A gateway to a realm of hidden experiences. Experiences that are unique yet familiar, as if they have been there all along, waiting to be discovered.
It's a crime how unnoticed this band is! I absolutely love this song.
