The Deniz Undav signing for Brighton got me excited, because he came as a top scorer from the Belgian League, from a club that got promotion after 45 years, and carried them to 1st place by 9 points from 2nd place Gent. I will remind you that they got 1st place after they got promoted after 45 years

@@adamgray7484 we shouldn’t be top 4 mate. Undav and Kozlowski are good signings but we lost burn and didn’t really make any immediate upgrades to the squad. Very underwhelming in my opinion. 7th justified
As a villa fan I’ve never been more happy with a transfer window and even the window in the summer in my life what a season and what a direction we’re going. Up the villa 💜💙

For Villa, you forgot to mention the new contract signing of Kortney Hause until 2025 and Emiliano Martinez until 2027. Brilliant window for the villans! Tbh i was quite suprised you both put 1st for villa. UP THE TDL! and UTV!
Honestly, as a West Ham fan, I'm feeling quite pessimistic. Both Arsenal and Tottenham have games in hand - we did jack shit in the transfer window which, I agree with Thogdad, demonstrates a lack of ambition. WE ONLY WENT FOR LINGARD on Deadline Day but it wasn't possible due to Martial leaving on loan to Sevilla and, well, the other one. The club is boasting about "breaking their bid record" but bidding doesn't actually matter if you don't sign anyone.
I hope I get proved wrong but I agree with Thogdad wholeheartedly - I think we are going to drop places and miss out on Europa League UNLESS we manage to win that tournament and make it into the Champions League. AND I ACTUALLY THINK this is more possible than us ending up between 4th - 6th.
We are still fcking massive though.

Just beacause west ham lost 2 games in a row doesnt mean that their Champions League or Europa League is finished

@@NA-vi5ic easy for you to say when you haven’t watched the last 10 games that we’ve played. We haven’t played good in one of them. And now we don’t have any depth and our striker has been in absolute horror form and we don’t have a backup for him. It was shocking and we’re very pessimistic as we should be
@@shahfc7585 even if west ham is playing Bad they still Can push a fight in the important moments of the Season and to talk about squad depth neither Spurs nor Arsenal have a good squad depth when 2 or 3 players are injured they struggle a lot specificaly in defense

Disappointed that spurs didn’t bid for him, he would’ve most probably come to spurs, a team fighting for top 4, instead of Brentford, a team that are fighting for top half of the table. But happy for him anyway

As a villa fan I’m over the moon with the signings we’ve made and also the loan moves for our youngsters. But one thing that’s gone under the radar on social media is the new 5tear contract to Emi Martinez, it’s a real statement that our clubs made by keeping one of the worlds best keepers for another 5 years
I think Kilusevski and Bentancur is gonna be very good for Sputrs and help them to finish in top 4 this season. And help Spurs for a Champions league spot race in the next 3 years if only Kulusevski signs a permanent deal.

@@bradL23 Yh but not really Adama isn’t actually that good couldn’t get into the wolves team and wasn’t even keen on playing rwb his end product is terrible aswell so I’m not too bothered I’d rather us go big in the summer then get an average player in.

As a UTD fan its easy to say I'm fairly disappointed with our Jan window, finally putting Martial and VDB on loan is a good shout imo plus Diallo but not even trying to get anyone in is poor. With the league how it is and our squad how it is there defo should've been talks of us signing someone. But I get if Rangnick just wants to work with the boys he's got atm
He said the squad was too big anyway before hand, and can't sign anyone without a permanent manager, as if we did and the new manager didn't want them, then we've wasted money.
Spending money would’ve been a mistake, you don’t have a manager. I think for once the Utd board have been smart and held back.

Moyes has already stated that he couldn't of been happier with the board in the transfer window. They put in 2-3 50m+ bids in for players like Raphinia and 60m for Nunez but was rejected.

As a Man City fan, I'm happy with the business that we did. Not only did we sign Alvarez, but we loaned out some of our young players, and got some contract extensions. The contracts may not have all happened in January, but Cancelo and McAtee were huge. I think City being able to hold on to players not only for the current times, but for the future can tempt Guardiola into extending his time here.
Really appreciate hearing a sensible neutral take on Arsenal's window (and the others). Especially appreciate Thogdad pointing out that not all teams can afford to spend - especially if they might go down and have to worry about FFP or spent big last summer. Yes, we definitely needed to bring in a striker and couldn't, but I was happy that we didn't go and waste money on a second rate option that wouldn't be better than what we already have. Totally agree about Auba - his time was up and getting him up frees up wage budget but more importantly gets him out of the training ground and dressing room. Rather be in that position than where United were with all the leaks and public unhappiness and unrest last month.
The thing is with Vitaliy Mykolenko at Everton is a few things:
1. He is coming to a new country and new league and needs to settle in
2. His home country of Ukraine is on the brink of War with the all powerful Russia and his mind of probably on his families safety

burnley vs newcastle final day of the season! it could really come down to that. if we manage to stay up i can see the doors swing wide open with more names wanting to come (obviously for the money) but for us fans its seeing team progression after 14 years with no passion or vision.

As a Newcastle fan, from following closely the main problem with signing people was that clubs know they can charge a premium which caused the dilemma of needing to sign players yet not wanting to get too ripped off. We signed a lot of players because we needed them😅 anyone who watches us can easily tell how frustrating some of our players are!

as a Wolves fan, happy adama has gone. every time we tried to attack when he was playing we just gave the ball to him and waited for him to do something and it restricted our creativity more than adama actually added anything to the team. it's similar to the diogo jota deal where he doesn't perform for us and he holds us back, we sell him and both parties improve as a result
Im belgian and a union fan, and you are ginna enjoy undav. Great striker, score lot of goals, can give assists, use his body and work hard for the team. Doenst stay al the time before goal but go also to the sides to give a centre, extreamly good with a second striker

Chelsea fan - rumor is that we didn't do any big transfers because they are waiting for summer for a bit of a team rebuild. They want better long term picks that aren't going to just take just fees/wages and then not fit properly into what system Tuchel is trying to build.
Tbh pretty happy with this, it shows again the club is actually looking to build something long term here maybe, and give Tuchel the sort of time Pep/Kloop had to build up their squads, compared to the usual CFC way of doing things
As far as the league we're just going for top 4 right now, and with the cups we've got pretty much the same team that won the UCL last year minus Chilwell out for the season, so there's no reason they can't pull out some good runs in cup matches again

so as a newcastle fan i had said mason greenwood had been arrested BEFORE we put the offer in for jesse lingard, meaning man u had decided to say no and not allow it bc with the greenwood getting removed from the team it would've effected their team so they had to keep a hold of him :))

Thogden, putting spurs below arsenal is absolutely shocking. Both have removed deadwood. Both have got out a lot of players. Both missed out on big money signings. Except one has actually brought some players in
As a bees fan I am really happy that we signed eriksen because players like bidstrup, dasilva, baptiste and Jensen would learn so much from him. Also we got a youngster called deji sotona on loan so pretty exiting

As a Chelsea fan I feel fine. We have so much loaned deadwood that a panic buy would be crazy. Reece James is back soon and switching to a 433/4222 means we can play Sarr at left back and cover our lack of wing backs. This takes weight off of Azpilicueta and Alonso and I feel we'll have Rudiger and Jules Kounde come the start of the season, plus an improved Sarr and Colwill who is an excellent academy product, currently at Huddersfield.
I would say wolves come 15th because our new manager has asked for competition we got rid of Nuno because apparently small squads played a factor but we are smaller then ever our midfield looks rough especially if Neves or Moutinho get injured if we had got a cm then yes 10th but if our owners don’t show ambition I feel Bruno will just walk

love a neutrals perspective on the arsenal tranfer bussiness or lack there of ,everyone hyping up a player like auba after literally dropping off the face of europes elite strikers , i dont understand why people would want a player who hasnt been contributing and like you mentioned caused problems within the squad i fully back arteta , he was performing for arteta before so the proof has been evident for real fans to see he has been dropping bad performance after bad performance and still was getting picked the issues regarding his behaviour and punctuality has been public over the last year and all of sudden people assume it was one instance ......100% right he needed to go for the better of the club and probably even himself
As a West Ham fan i am very disappointed with our transfer window, we could of atleast tried to get another striker in like Darwin Nunez from Benfica but we wasted our time trying to get Lingard in all window which also didnt happen, gutted!

I think arsenal are too high up on your list. Tbh im gonna miss auba and he'll save us money but not having a replacement for him scares me. I dont want to be finishing mid table again, hopefully the next transfer window we can bring in a replacement for him
It was a difficult January , no one wanted to sell their best players . But we also didn’t need to panic buy . Plus Auba was never coming back to the squad so getting rid of 350,000£ a week wages alongside some deadwood who are not gonna play the next 25 games was good . Wait till the summer . We are definitely siginig a standout star striker

as a villa fan our window was fantastic, i don't agree with Thogden that Suarez would have been the signing for the perfect window though, we need a defensive midfielder, and we seemed to maybe try a few different avenues that didn't come off, apart from that, great window, just no dm
