      Kawaii Ptoranking does dancehall. He obviously has been influenced from our culture, accent and all. Dont hate because plenty nigerians doing that now in their music.

Yes, there robbers all over the world but Nigerian robbers are one of a kind and I'm anyone who been a situation with them can also testify!

    Idk y some of the ppl in the Caribbean are in denial about where our roots come from some of our roots came from Africa doing the slave trade most of the Africans went to the Caribbean south America ..and to most ppl we can hear the similarities..like come on stop it give credit...other wise than crazy ppl making it such a debate . ...I'm jamaican born and raised and I absolutely LOVE the song and other Afro beats from the motherland ...keep it up much support&love.

    • @preztjuswoman
      @preztjuswoman 9 лет назад +8

      +DKhisa West Indians got their sound from Africa #Fact.
      It is denial. West Indians are nothing more than Africans who grew up in that region and have been influenced by British, Portuguese and Spaniard rule.
      So Africans in the island created music shaped by their surrounding culture. And Africans in Africa are inspired by the sounds of their fellow Africans from overseas.

      ***** Not in the politics though. Examples like Trinidad & Tobago and Dominica where the powers are still in the mulattoes and Asians hands. The elites still see blacks as a lower class.

    • @preztjuswoman
      @preztjuswoman 9 лет назад +3

      +CaribGoddess I like to have conversation that is intellectual and based off of common sense. I was not discussing the cultures that intergrayed with Africans in the carib. Im talking about the poeople and the culture. African people did not come from Adia, Spain or anywhere in Europe. The carib is predominantly African descent. When you look in the mirror are you Asian? European? Latin or of African decent?
      Black people in the carib came from Africa, plain and simple. Stop being so insecure. We are all the same just in different parts of the world. Know your roots hunny.
      Im done, you'll have to research your history on tour own time. Wishing you the best of luck.
      Bless Up

    🇧🇷 BRAZIL 🇧🇷 (for translation) Parabéns pela composição musical e que continue sempre assim, brilhando sua luz a todos os povos. Por falar em "brilhar", lamento muito por sua perda recente que foi sua filha, que te acompanhava nas músicas, inclusive aquela "sorry". Ela conquistou um lugarzinho especial no céu e de lá, irradia sua luz, assim como a sua, que muito nos alegra. Deus te abençoe grandemente e continue abençoando seu trabalho, com muita saúde, força, fé e energia porque você é guerreira e merece! 👏👏👏👏👏🤝🤗🙌🙏💐

    I like the song. It is interesting to see that even though 90% or so of Jamaicans are descendants of Africans, that centuries later contemporary Africa is reaching back to Jamaica for influence.
    I agree @rosetoh this song does have a lot of Jamaican influence.
    Jamaican influences in this video:
    1. The hornlike sound that you hear in almost every Jamaican dancehall song is at the beginning of the video/song.
    2. The rapper's first words on the track was "Patoranking mi deh ya' which is interesting because 'mi deh ya' is not pidgin, but Jamaican patois.
    3.Tiwa's lyrics 'this love nah guh trouble no one, a know the feeling is strong but you is a bam bam," is a snippet from the Jamaican dancehall song 'bam bam'.
    4. Patoranking's use of the Jamaican slang term 'ya dun knoe.'
    5.The name Patoranking sounds similar to the Jamaican dancehall artist Shabba Ranks (who referred to himself as Shabba Ranking'

      Jamaicans are just West Africans who have been away from home for a long time.You guys are like two peas in a pod and you don't even realise it.Why is it that every time someone does a track that has a bit of Reggae or Patois in it Jamaicans are quick to jump up and claim own it?Do we not have Jamaicans who sing other music genres like HipHop or House? The Guyanese Natural black nearly had his career finished by the Jamaicans because of their isms and schisms.

      What do you mean by "African is reaching back to Jamaica for influence"... Get it straight, AFRICA influenced Jamaica. Africa is the blueprint..

      okuomose okuns Who said dancehall wasn't global? It doesn't mean that I should not point on the specific influences.
