I like the song. It is interesting to see that even though 90% or so of Jamaicans are descendants of Africans, that centuries later contemporary Africa is reaching back to Jamaica for influence.
I agree @rosetoh this song does have a lot of Jamaican influence.

1. The hornlike sound that you hear in almost every Jamaican dancehall song is at the beginning of the video/song.
2. The rapper's first words on the track was "Patoranking mi deh ya' which is interesting because 'mi deh ya' is not pidgin, but Jamaican patois.
3.Tiwa's lyrics 'this love nah guh trouble no one, a know the feeling is strong but you is a bam bam," is a snippet from the Jamaican dancehall song 'bam bam'.
4. Patoranking's use of the Jamaican slang term 'ya dun knoe.'

Jamaicans are just West Africans who have been away from home for a long time.You guys are like two peas in a pod and you don't even realise it.Why is it that every time someone does a track that has a bit of Reggae or Patois in it Jamaicans are quick to jump up and claim own it?Do we not have Jamaicans who sing other music genres like HipHop or House? The Guyanese Natural black nearly had his career finished by the Jamaicans because of their isms and schisms.
