Robin I finally got my units installed. Thanks for the support. These units are full of features, even the music sounds better. They have fixed the two things I hated about GTA - outdated Infotainment and sticky buttons. This updated wiring instructions is right on point thanks again bud.
In the process of getting it installed currently. Encountered an issue where I was getting no audio at all. This got tracked down to the electric pigtail on the video camera that is used for tapping into a tail light. Even though I have it wired at the head unit, the raw end of the pigtail leads were touching each other. This also caused there to be no video image when looking at the rear view camera. Separating the ends fixed the video and suddenly bam I'm bathed in really really loud everytime. Ended up clipping the pigtail ends and wrapping them in electrical tape. Also the Bingfu GPS adapter is keyed wrong for the GPS cable, you can shave the plastic keying off and then ensure the connection with electrical tape.
@@caymanspyder1593 regarding the sound issue, the pigtail shorting out could have caused any number of wierd things, just glad I was able to track it down. I did get the head unit through you, and everything seems to be identical and the videos helped immensely in installing it. My head unit did seem slightly different than any of those I've seen in your videos, I just attributed it to you using proto/pre-release gear or a different version than I received (made after your videos)... By the way where did you mount the microphone that came with it? I currently have mine snaked out through the driver's side tunnel, but haven't found a good spot to mount it yet
Also of note, by the time I was done installing everything my battery was low enough to not start the car (it sat for a while not on the charger before installation). When the car battery is low, the sound fails. After charging over night sound returned. That sucked cause it happened right after buttoning everything up and I was dreading having to take it all apart again. Kudos to Maserati though, they made it exceptionally easy to work on everything.
I hope you have a few minutes to help me out, I have followed all your videos and they have been a fantastic help with my 2013 Granturismo. I have the new head unit and a/c controller all wired up, and everything works... except the reverse cam. I tried the rewire to the "Back" wire and updated settings, still getting "No video". Any thoughts? Don't want to button it back up until I have it fixed! Thank you so much for the great content!
The versions with 2 antennas is the very first model that came out, one was wifi the other is bluetooth, the Wifi is now internal, and the Bluetooth is now a wire connected to a harness in the back.
There is no trigger wire on the factory harness for the reverse cam, 08-17 model years did not have a reverse cam from the factory, it came in 2018, If by chance you have a reverse cam installed with the factory head unit, you have a NaviPlus system, you can still use the reverse cam from that system on the AuCar/AcarNavi
Great vids and install instructions. Very helpful. So how did using the connector to the Factory GPS antenna work out? Is the factory Antenna just as good as the one supplied with the radio? Chris
Anyone know how to change the trmp reading on the climate control to F instead of C. I know how to change it on the instrument pannel but not on the climate control. Chris

Hmmmmmmmm, You must have a different brand of head unit, Bingfu GPS adaptor works perfect with all head units sold by me. Sound issue is odd too......

And you have tried the different reverse settings? Also if you have a MC model (center exhaust) or the F1 Duo select there is a different way to wire
Is it possible to mount a blindspot monitor camera on the driver side mirror that activates with the turn signal?
Do this update wiring come with the purchase of the head unit or is it separate purchase?
Hi great video, I’ve seen other versions with 2 WiFi antennas why is this different?

Great vids and install instructions. Very helpful. So how did using the connector to the Factory GPS antenna work out? Is the factory Antenna just as good as the one supplied with the radio?
Chris
Yes works perfectly to use the factory GPS antenna.
Anyone know how to change the trmp reading on the climate control to F instead of C. I know how to change it on the instrument pannel but not on the climate control.

Where is a place to get this installed? Im in Houston TX
You should have several high end installers in your area, It is not to difficult to install the head unit.
