Vedic Roots Sound System | Boiler Room: Southall
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 1 окт 2024
- Our Boiler Room debut in Southall was a big, noisy celebration of Panjabi culture: sound systems, bhangra, bootlegs, modified cars, fashion, community pride, and the diaspora in all its beauty.

Braaaaap ❤🔥

why no mixing?
It's reggae/dub! It's not really meant for mixing, no standard BPM, clashing basslines, ... And other electronic dance genres often have lead-ins / leadouts for mixing.
@@woutmotmans6240still the swapping of records was really sloppy, could have used at least some delays or echo outs between tunes while flipping records...

@@АнтонКулигин-ю1мBig thanks
Did the second deck break ?
its a dub set, they usually just use one
@@lowertone1525 that's a bit odd to me. No actual mixing ?
In dub music its about the selection, and the quality of the sound system behind them. As they built the sound system by hand, and choose the components. They then select dub plates on vinyl, dub music comes in probably the largest variety of bpms, it and has very melodic low basslines, its not really possible to mix nor do the selectors want to ‘mix’ they just want to share the sound with the people!
20:10 sounds so familiar but I can't seem to catch which one it is
To those who read this, it reminds me of Iseo & Dodosound - No Pain

also in Gaza, Palestinians are being slaughtered by Zionists
what a load of bollox
This so ironic. While my country has been consumed with tourism and trying incorporate all people and cultures under one love and out of many one people..everyone is stealing our music! Let us not forget who is the original creators of Reggae.. Jamaicans 🇯🇲
You do realize that playing Jamaican music globally isn't theft; it's promoting the rich heritage of Reggae. Educate yourself on this matter before making such claims - it's about sharing and celebrating Jamaican culture through music
I'm a jamaican and these man are showing respect! Big them up.....get off the haterade
He's gatekeeping, everyone needs to get written permission from this guy or have a disclaimer saying we didnt make reggae music@djkal-c
That is simply not true. Where was Tommy McCook from? Where was Roland Alphonso from? Take into account the Asian heritage immigrants that lived in jamaica in the 50's and 60's, from Byron Lee to Leslie Kong and the list is endless. Reggae belongs to anyone who lives, breaths and speaks this beautiful music. It equally belongs to all the Sikhs that would follow Shaka everywhere to Penny Reel in Dalston, to any guys in Japan that have been religiously collecting and contributing to the foundation of calypso, ska, rocksteady, reggae & roots music.
Eeddiattt ting
Track ID @ 53:35 ? I need that in my life
looks like "pure and clean" by alpha & omega but not sure, by the look of the vinyl it's more likely a duplate
