I think if the the players who receive nil need to be treated like the nfl, sign a contract, x amount of years, etc.. no leaving a school without incurring penalties like repaying a portion of the nil.
@@bitcoinbobby4149 aint no arguing that, I want a good college football product and thats just not the case now. In the NFL, the players cant just move around each yr, there is an agrrement in place
I don't even think the sec is bad. They just don't have good QB play atm. Alabama would have been right there if they had a half decent QB and Georgia lost their starting qb
College football and men basketball programs have always been the top sport revenue makers. The players should have always been sharing in the profits. Now, is the nil, and regulating it is the top of the conversation. Where was all this regulation conversation When the colleges and universities was getting all of the money.
@@marcelluswileydatdude It makes them targets, not only from the general public, but also from other players the opposition and their own teammates..to be quite honest I feel that All sports contracts should be discreet..there should be something in the clause like An NDA that prevents a player from discussing the amount of money they make.
You can’t expect everyone to get paid the same because everyone is not the same. If you think your daughter who plays softball at UCLA is going to get paid the same as the UCLA qb is crazy. We know football in college makes all finances many of the other college sports like bass fishing etc. should the best bass fishermen get paid the same as well?
The thing is should we get rid of the non revenue producing sports because of NIL? These sports provide opportunities for women and its our faen system for Olympics sports too. The way it's going we may not have these much longer
No NIL… We the fans are paying for this, how much has your cable bill gone up? How many streaming services do you have to able to watch… The average person is paying NIF We the fans keep getting ripped off How much did tickets go up? How much did parking go up? How much has your cable bill gone up? How much has your streaming service go up? Now you have to pay Netflix streaming.
There NIL deals with real companies and there are NIL collectives with schools pooling money together to pay athletes. 2 different subjects grouped into 1
I get what he means.. professional and amateur don’t mix.. to say not everyone deserves to get paid to play that creates a divide .. professional and amateur.. college athletes are “paid” through free education I get what he means by the product of college football is being destroyed because it’s no longer amateur. You can take the same argument they made and apply it to pop Warner and high school. They put their lives on the line to win too every time they suit up, they should get paid too
Nope when they sign billion dollar tv deals for pop Warner and high school programs then it is a fair comparison. Amateurism is an archaic designation meant to control athletes. Olympics ended this years ago. And also pop Warner and high school don't have the physicality of college level athletes
NIL is silly as it’s a loophole from not paying the players directly from the institution. The colleges should be able to recruit players and not require them to attend school. Amateurism doesn’t exist when you are getting paid.,
@ I would love to have a fruitful conversation on this, but unfortunately comment section doesn’t allow it. I assume we both can at least agree that more regulations and rule making is necessary to end conversations like this
Young men of this era, go and get your money👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

so this is still your old chanell just a new name???
I'm alll for the NIL, but there needs to be some regulations in place
Free Market! It's capitalism at its finest. Stop trying to cap a person's dollar amount. The market dictates one's value.

Just say NO. Saying NO is the regulation!
I kno usc got into some shit but jus think if NIL deals were out then sheesh by now theres no telling how much it would be

Facts, Georgia won 2 chips since NIL started btw

I’m all for NIL money absolutely! However I don’t think the public should know about the Amounts
Why?
Why not?
@@marcelluswileydatdudebecause it’s not of our damn business lmao we don’t ask about nobody else 💰 but athletes in certain sports….

No they don’t need be slaves making billions of dollars it’s not amateur then who cares never has been and always been about 💰
Not really a loophole. Most programs dont make a profit and if schools start paying them most guarantee tuition of an overpriced education goes up
