I always speak of the churches in Addis Ababa that were carved from stone. the churches of Lalibela. The artwork depicts what people truly looked like. Its an amazing story and a true marvel of the world. These churches are some of the oldest Christian churches in the world....thank you for this post. I have been going to Hastings in England for over 30 years for a summer break , Hastings is a Town in East Sussex famous for the Norman invasion of 1066 battle of Hastings , in one of the oldest churches they have little tours for holiday makers , I went several times and the vicar there was very proud to show us a picture that was very old and it was a black baby Jesus , it is a very white population in Hastings and has always been but that picture hangs to this day , this is a very old fisherman village , it was amazing .

I had no idea how rich in ancient history 🇪🇹 was sadly i had to watch a history channel about it recently and my jaw was on the floor the entire time. Its like its been frozen for over a thousand years and you can witness pretty similar to how things wouldve looked back in the ancient world. Churches in caves that were built older than Jesus. It goes on and on its amazing. Growing up in 🇺🇸 we only know ethiopia from a movie called black hawk down and that its dirt poor. Little did I know the richness is in the culture and preserved history. The ancient paintings still look fresh. Everthing about that country has rare things that you will not be able to find anywhere eelse because not many countries have it preserved the way ethiopia has had it. And the lack of human population the way mega coties have destoryed the ancient world…its like its untouched over there still. Most shocking thing is they have the ark of the covenant. Idk if i can believe it but its supposedly guarded well but all i see is an old 70 year old man with a world war 1 rifle so im suprised no one has tried to steal it so thats why i dont think its real but who knows. The ark of the covenant is in the Church of Mary one of the oldest churches guarded by many virgin women that are not allowed to leave the church and its said that most churches in ethiopia has copies of the ark and the location of the ark is swiched anonymously.

Even as a kid, I always wondered how anybody from that part of the world who was not a Roman could have blonde hair and, of all things, blue eyes. Nobody told me about that either. I simply looked on a map.

This video was definitely amazing! I heard years ago the 1st Christian Church was established in Ethiopia. It would be wonderful to visit such an ancient historic site that is still used by some Ethiopian people. So glad some of the ancient pictures lasted and are being preserved. I saw at least a couple of the pictures of Jesus in a documentary in search of portrayals of him.
Jerusalem. Ethiopia was ONE of the first. Reference acts 8 the ethiopian eunuch. It was prophesied that the word of the LORD would come from Jerusalem in the church age.

Ethiopia (in the Bible) refers to people who have (black) skin and lived in the Southern Nile area, Southern Egypt, modern-day Sudan and is also known as Havilah in the book of Genesis. Ethiopians (AKA Cushites) were mentioned in the first book of the bible (Genesis).
