I’m not sure if Jayden should get Coach of the Year but I think you didn’t mean that - you probably meant the coach of Washington. But everything else? A very strong “maybe.” Definitely Rookie of the Year. MVP? I’d go Josh Allen one and then maybe Jayden two and Barkley three and Lamar four. It’s a VERY difficult pick this year on MVP though because five guys at least should be considered.
With a good offensive line in place, Caleb Williams will also be great for the Bears. Williams was sacked 68 times this season. Not fair to him. Jayden Daniels had a better offensive line protecting him. The Bears almost defeated the Commanders if it was not for the hail Mary pass touchdown that Jaylen threw with a lucky bounce with no time left.
@Washington-Dreaming He is addressing what Washington should get because they earned it. 1. Coach of the year for the head coach 2. Rookie of the year for the QB 3. MVP also for the QB That’s what he meant. Cheers
These guys don't watch the Commanders much because they've been "sprinkling in long plays" all year. One of JDs very first plays in the NFL was the 42 yard audible to Dyami.
I’ve kept my expectations so low and expected the worst all season on my Commanders BUT that team on Saturday will crush the Philly team I seen Sunday.
Washington has a squad JD, Terry, Ekeler, Ertz, Cosmi & Biadaz on offense. Allen, Payne, Fowler, Luvu, Wagner, Sainristil, Chinn, & Lattimore on defense. Don't sleep on this roster
Washington's offense is as strong as its defense is weak. So Quinn plays to the teams strength. Kicking FGs will get his team beat, because the defense is giving up TDs. Also, Washington's FG kicker isn't good. He's smart to roll the dice with an offense that has an 80+% success rate on 4th down.
I knew in week four in Cincy. All the boxes RGIII and everyone else spent years failing to check, Daniels ticked off all the way back then. Away game, prime time, high pressure, elite QB and offense on the other side, need to score on every possession, pass-first, slide etc etc etc. He did everything I wanted already, and has only gotten better since. He is just a complete stud and a slam dunk who should obviously have been the #1 pick last year.
I think Detroit developed a game plan to put WAS away early and when that didn’t happen they got desperate and lost their way. Credit to WAS for pressuring Goff
It’s not anything the Commanders D did, it was Baker Mayfield’s fumble. It was Jared’s terrible play. Uh huh. Or maybe the analysts can’t check their egos and admit they were wrong. Detroit got whooped.
Goff didn’t just happen to have his worst game of the season. Washington’s defense was outmatched, but they made plays when it mattered most, like they have been doing for the past 2 months. Enjoy watching your star players play madden homer!!
I'll be the first to say our defense needs help but we had 5 takeaways FIVE. Our offense and defense seem to feed off each other every game and they get the job done.
Their was a reason that Goff had so many mistakes in the game. Washington was able to put a lot of presser on him. They constantly moved him off his spot, had hands in his face and sacked him twice. He's not the same like most QB's when he doesn't get to stand back there with 4 plus seconds. As deficient as Washington's D has been this year that has been their strength all season. That "great" lions OL was not able to keep Goff clean all game and that was the biggest difference in this game. Give Washington D some credit Chris. I know that's hard for you.
Yep. They built an offense that would offer this young rookie every chance to succeed: great O line, focus on running attack, an excellent tight end as safety valve.
Like the Vikings the Lions fattened up on the AFC South and NFC West teams plus the Bears twice and a Parsons-less Cowboys. That’s 11 easy wins so I’m not surprised the Lions were dominant beating up on average to very bad teams.
Oh..yup..and Washington played a epic schedule..lol..stop..you won congratz..OC..DC left before the game..terrible game plans..injuries caught up to us..HI Wash
BTW about 4th downs, it's a culture thing. If you always go for it all the players and coaches know they're going for it every time and can prepare accordingly. The surprise and second guessing all goes away, or at least it should, and you can focus 100% on converting. And if you fail, everyone's first impulse is to get even better at it so they don't fail again next time. I'm now fully in favor of always going for it to simplify the process for everyone on the team. Just hang a large sign in the locker room in April that says "We're Going For It." Make sure to include the period.
I much rather be a 6 seed on the road, I’m sick of people glorifying the regular season, nobody will remember 15 wins all that will be remembered is “Crybaby Campbell” the north is a complete joke all 3 teams got dominated, when Quinn loses you think he’s gonna go out and cry about? I think not it’s just Detroit being Detroit good riddance
Was it just me or did it seem like Geoff kept getting rattled when he was under pressure, like a rookie? Every time the Commanders chased him out of the pocket his throws became very inaccurate.
Great job Commanders, but lets not forget that the Lions defense was missing 7 starters due to injuries. Good luck rest of the way. We ll see you next year.
Teams don't usually just make mistakes. The pressure the defense applies creates the stress for offenses to make mistakes. The Lions made mistake BECAUSE the Commanders applied pressure. Conversely, the Commanders excelled when the Lions tried to apply pressure. As much as this isn't, for the most part, a game of individuals, it's not accomplishment/failure absolutely devoid of pressure. As for the, "...Lions were beat up on defense" rationale. Haven't they been beaten up for six weeks? Did anyone put them as under dogs for those games due to having injuries? Did anyone clutch their pearls in fear of a Lions loss because they had injuries on defense? No, they didn't. It just a convenient fallback to explain why a team that was being fluffed up as the best team in the NFC got out-played by a supposed underdog. Skill players, of losing them due to injury, impact the game, no doubt. But ultimately, it's the coaching and scheming that brings together a team for find success (or not). Quinn, Kingsbury, and Whit have created a team that is worth more than the sum of its parts. Pundits constantly fail to recognize that reality. The Commanders are a dangerous team because they are a well-coaching and motivated team, not because they have better talent. Watch out Philly. You've got talent, but do you have the team?
Agree. Sportscasters don’t give the new culture enough credit. The new owners and coaches said they wanted to build a team the right way. And they’ve shown they are correct. JD5 is great, but put him on the Bears. Would they have the same results as Commanders.
When will you understand? It don’t matter who we play, top defense, top offense, most sacks, most touchdowns, it don’t matter. Cuz at the end of the day, they can’t stop #5. End of analysis. HAIL YEAH!!!! HTTC!!!!
I think Goff should get credit for the Commanders win, he became a baker during the game and passed out turnovers, I put it on him and the play caller.
Simms is usually on point but what is this nonsense about not having explosive plays? Were one of the best offenses in the league when it comes to points per game and explosive plays.
Daniels the best QB in the NFL are you kidding me kinda heard that about Stroud last year didn’t we? He beat a defense that’s about half or more backups.Goff had to press way too much because of that. We’ll see next year how good Daniels is when defenses adjust and study film on him ,I don’t watch much college football so I don’t claim to know much about it but I didn’t like him coming out of college mostly because he looks very thin to take hits in the NFL .
Are you kidding me? There probably wasn’t a more glaring point made over the weekend that going for 4th down (or kicking ridiculously long FGs) makes you look like a fool. Going for 4th all the time is something like a gimmicky franchise needs to do. Places like Atlanta, Detroit, Buffalo… just teams that aren’t top level.
Y’all picked up to lose by 2 touchdowns then we end up WINNING by 2 touchdowns 😂😂
Why is it always what the other team didn’t do and not what the Commanders did?
It’s annoying right!??!
Ever y station every segment they bite they tongue when it comes to praise but been on the eagles nuts when they qb sucks forrreal
Always. It's really annoying
every time
Relax fellas. Let's just keep proving them wrong. One game at a time
Coach of the year, Rookie of the year, MVP 2025. Jayden Daniels .
I’m not sure if Jayden should get Coach of the Year but I think you didn’t mean that - you probably meant the coach of Washington. But everything else? 2. Rookie of the year for the QB
3. MVP also for the QB
That’s what he meant. Cheers
Gm of the year
@@Superman-ey3idno he didn’t, we had to chip block all season …our line is marginal at best. More of a run line.
These guys don't watch the Commanders much because they've been "sprinkling in long plays" all year. One of JDs very first plays in the NFL was the 42 yard audible to Dyami.
Right ! What is Chirs talking about, we definitely get explosives every game!
Ready to see Washington Win again this Sunday against the Eagles.
I’ve kept my expectations so low and expected the worst all season on my Commanders BUT that team on Saturday will crush the Philly team I seen Sunday.
Joe Whitt and Kliff did a great job.
they did a really good job - their players were prepared to play their game .
I'm not impressed by Whitt personally. They have a lot of talent on that front 7 and they can't stop the run if their lives depend on it
The defense still gave up 521 yards
Analysts are not giving Joe Whitt enough credit. The defense has improved all year and showed that against Detroit.
So happy Ben stayed in Detroit.. HAIL!!!
Don't forget that Ben Johnson refused to meet with the Commanders last year when they were looking for a coach!!!
Funny how chris picked against the commanders all year. Hes not mentioning that
Dan Quinn is going to get Coach of the year. Daniels could get rookie and regular season honors. Great season for Commanders.
How does DQ not win coach of the year?
I have no clue
DQ and 2K are the head coach and offensive coordinator of the year!
Washington has a squad JD, Terry, Ekeler, Ertz, Cosmi & Biadaz on offense. Allen, Payne, Fowler, Luvu, Wagner, Sainristil, Chinn, & Lattimore on defense. Don't sleep on this roster
Scotland loves Jayden Daniels
Sonic and Knuckles met Shadow

The defense that got 5 turnovers is weak? Nah they did they thing Saturday
@@kia4670Curt is correct. We still don't have a great defense statistically, but we have a defense that has great timing, and compliments our offense
@ why you agreeing with these losers? The defense was good enough to win that Detroit game.
I think Detroit developed a game plan to put WAS away early and when that didn’t happen they got desperate and lost their way. Credit to WAS for pressuring Goff
Dan Quinn coached teams have owned Goff
Goff is 1-5 vs Quinn coached teams. No luck to that game. Clearly had a game plan for Goff.
It’s not anything the Commanders D did, it was Baker Mayfield’s fumble. It was Jared’s terrible play.
Uh huh. Or maybe the analysts can’t check their egos and admit they were wrong. Detroit got whooped.
I find John Kiem of ESPN as the best game analyzer... he is very informative.
John Kiem burner account… if not, definitely a bot 😂
Thank you, Mrs. Keim!!
Yes!! They compliment each other beautifully
Their was a reason that Goff had so many mistakes in the game. Washington was able to put a lot of presser on him. They constantly moved him off his spot, had hands in his face and sacked him twice. Absolutely! Go Commanders defense! Hail Victory
COTY 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

No mention Washington o lines, that was the biggest question mark coming into this season and they did an amazing job all year long 👏 🙌 👍!!!
Daniels slayed in the Lions Den
Chris Simms we do throw the ball down the field lol what are you talking about?
JD5 is the best qb in the entire nfl.... not just the nfc.... period.... facts...
How often do dome teams win the superbowl or even get there? Y’all fall for the regular season marketing ploy every year😵💫
Kingsbury to the Cardinals as HC? LOL. Daniels is clutch.
“They played with no fear” Maybe they should’ve lol
Washington was overlooked… plain and simple. You saw that after the Vikings game. Great game!!

You’re not wrong. Goff folds on playoffs. Ask mcvay
"If you lose to a team, you lose to the Commanders"
Aw shucks respect
Jared Goff is just another quarterback nothing special about him
Great job Commanders, but lets not forget that the Lions defense was missing 7 starters due to injuries. Good luck rest of the way. We ll see you next year.
Excuses excuses excuses 😊
Defense is a massive component of the game, so the Lions aren't a juggernaut. Could, should, would and didn't.
But “coaching don’t matter it’s all JD” soons anybody else mention that coaching staff 😂🤦🏿♂️
Teams don't usually just make mistakes. The pressure the defense applies creates the stress for offenses to make mistakes. The Lions made mistake BECAUSE the Commanders applied pressure. Campbell got out coached. Lions game plan should have been like the Bills. Run the ball, control the clock. Minimize turnovers.
Redskins don't celebrate till we win.lions were disrespectful that why loes and we are better. But ya disrespectful. Check yourself
Chris Simms likes Jayden but he, like all the other sports analysts, had predicted Lions winning.
Ben Johnson to the Bears? Didnt they hire Flores already?
When will you understand? It don’t matter who we play, top defense, top offense, most sacks, most touchdowns, it don’t matter. Cuz at the end of the day, they can’t stop #5. End of analysis. HAIL YEAH!!!! HTTC!!!!
💯 They are gonna learn, and all us Commanders fans will enjoy watching the NFL learn the lessons. Faith in 👋
Lions choked, Go CHIEEEFFFSS
I think Goff should get credit for the Commanders win, he became a baker during the game and passed out turnovers, I put it on him and the play caller.
Lions will not get an second chance to be the no.1 seed in the NFC; when it matters, Goff & co. simply melted away
Simms is usually on point but what is this nonsense about not having explosive plays? Were one of the best offenses in the league when it comes to points per game and explosive plays.
Lions should’ve kept Matt stafford
DID Dan Quinn & Kliff Kingsbury PLAYS A DOWN?
Really 2to 3 Minutes I am very disappointed let Sims Talk !
🔥
Best team in the league haters
Left hand ✋ up. We da Commander's. Check out our old school music 🎵🎶 video! Not sure if most fans in this league ever caught on😂
Stop trying to blame the defense Jayden is just that good. And Goff is not. HE cost us the game period
Simms has been dead wrong about the Commanders all season his opinion is irrelevant 😂
Daniels the best QB in the NFL are you kidding me kinda heard that about Stroud last year didn’t we? Not too late for you to become a Commanders fan! 😅
The Lions are all self generated hype. All that sloganeering on t-shirts smacks of over compensating to me. Anti-Fragile? Errr... no.
Washington goes for two the second most often after Detroit.
Chis mad because he Sucked as a QB
Chris Simms is a 🤡
JD5 HTTC ..suk it up Ahmed jared Goff suks.
1st?
Same old lions same old redskins
@Julian-q7t3f: You need to sit down and hush. You absolutely have no clue what you are talking about 🙄
@mjc11a Washington undefeated in the playoffs against the lions pal. Do your research, please, before you post fool on RUclips.
Someone please show Dan Quinn how to wear a hat.
Nahh that’s when he’s at his best
I find John Kiem of ESPN as the best game analyzer... he is very informative.
