Are you able to find fresh giant rice cakes where you live? I’ve looked for them here in Nashville but no luck. I have found the frozen ones and I believe dehydrated ones but never even semi-fresh ones.
Christy hi! If you have a Korean grocery store near you like Hmart, paldo world etc they will carry fresh rice cakes. They are super super soft fresh. Almost like soft mozzarella BUT the frozen ones are bad at all. Usually when I don’t use all the fresh ones I buy I keep the rest in the freezer so they don’t go bad. You can attempt to make them at home if you like. It’s only a few ingredients ❤️

You can find some online but you have to cook them with hot water. There are some restaurants near me that serve fresh rice cakes.
